Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open world tactical shooter video game in development by Ubisoft Paris. It will be the tenth installment in the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchise and will be the first Ghost Recon game to feature an open world environment. The game will move away from the futuristic setting introduced in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and will instead feature a setting similar to the original Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. Ubisoft has described it as one of the biggest open world games that they have ever published, with the game world including a wide variety of environments such as mountains, forests, deserts and salt flats. The game will be playable on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The game is set in Bolivia, which has become increasingly unstable as the Santa Blanca drug cartel gains more power and influence to the point where Bolivia has become the world's largest producer of cocaine. The rise in power of these drug cartels concerns the United States Government, as Santa Blanca's influence has begun to spread beyond Bolivia. As a result, the United States Army dispatches an elite special operations unit called "the Ghosts" to destroy the cartel and reveal the connection between Santa Blanca and the local government.

True that, even Conviction was better, at least that game tried to be it's own game. Blacklist is just an odd mix of different stealth game mechanics.

sam fisher pays his respect to MGS series, since MGS, Splinter cell, and shypon filter are the trinity of stealth type merceneries game.
Yup, Splinter cell and metal gear has always been long term rivals in the stealth genre of gaming. Since kojima isnt making and metal gear games, that reference was like a nod to their rivalry which is a nice touch hence the part sam says " Its just me".

The Snake reference made me both happy and sad at the same time. I felt a sense of joy when Sam talks about Snake. Two of the greatest games of the Genre and one giving homage to another.... Doesnt get better than that. But then when he says, he's the last one left, that's like gut punch, specially after Metal Gear Survive

This mission is so infuriating going solo. When I got to Sam and started the dialogue, my AI teammate got spotted and it restarted. This happened so many times holy fuck.

The feels when they pay homage to Sam's thematic rival. To me it seemed like a fond farewell to a rivalry that created some of the greatest entries in the stealth action genre. No rivalry in the end, simply 2 people on the same side giving us the "freedom" to choose what style of stealth action we want, and now the torch must be passed (maybe not necessarily to SC, just a new IP in the future) due to unfortunate circumstances (in this case, Konami torpedo-ing the MGS series).
FYI Brad - if you train the rebels to recon for you they can reveal a lot of the tangos in a spot despite the “jammer” that blocks your drone’s video feed.
Help you weed through a fair bit of the AI and gives you a better chance of locating “jammer” to deactivate it if you need to. 👍🏻

Brad doesn't show it, but after the mission you unlock Sam's very own night vision goggles for your character's headgear!!! You also get access to his black and white night vision as compared to your green in the base game. The black and white night vision is also a lot less grainy than the base one.
