Jon Bernthal Is making quite the name for himself.
He was so under utilized in this game!! Kind of wish we didnt have to kill him!
Judging by the trailers and the fact they made a unique costume for him which were under/unused in the entire game, I feel like they cut a literal shit ton of content out of the final build.

@@wesleyhodge818 Maybe. Main reason is most likely they got pushed by higher ups to cut a lot of content out of the game. I just hope those people were among the ones that got fired due to the recent sexual harrasment allegations.

Walker had so much potential, man. He's completely wasted in Breakpoint.
I have heard that a lot of people said that he was too expensive to have more screentime.
@@rascoehunter3608He should not have been killed so easily in BP. He should be in the sequel of BP and the guy is not even 100% evil. Seeing how corrupt the government is, I honestly wanted to join him.
@@rascoehunter3608 According to the first promotional trailer, originally he definetly had a lot more scenes than this in the game. They didn't just pull it out of nowhere.
@RANK: LIEUTENANT. CALLSIGN: VIPER It wouldn't have been much of a "Ghost Recon" game if you could join the Wolves. They would NEVER give the player the option to join the Wolves for that reason alone.
Like in any piece of narrative/story, you need a antagonist/bad guy so the Wolves, and the ones who backed them fit that.
If it weren't Ubisoft being largely incompetent, I would have also suggested that is likely a nod to the Wolves (self explanatory), Sheep Dogs (Ghosts), & Sheep (Non-combatants & those just trying to survive) analogy.

2 - Flycatcher
3 - Silverback
4 - Yellowleg
Three of which have an actual backstory and one's description is literally just "An elite wolf."
@@flamingphoenix3202 yellowleg was so useless lol, you see her with hill once and the second time you see her she runs away. You go upstairs and kill her like any other wolf in the entire game.
@@TaskForce-fy4jk yeah, she was such a fucking sorry excuse of a wolf. All the "Elite" Wolves are so easy to off. I literally killed Rosebud without even knowing that she was the wolf I was killing. I just slit what I thought was another sniper's throat and all of a sudden her mission was completed
Flycatcher. I killed him by shooting through the wooden door he was behind. I didn't even know it was him i killed until i went into the room. Felt very anticlimactic.
the later dlc missions were way better
Funny story, if you're playing immersive mode (so no gear score) you can make a straight bee-line to the Brother vs Brother Walker mission and kill him the second you get to Erewhon for the first time. There are no gates or checks stopping you from just completing his bossfight and killing him instantly, right at the start of the game.
I legit did that by mistake and everyone else was talking like he was still alive. I was so confused lol
It changes a few cutscenes as well which is nice
I just started playing the game a week ago, and I played it in immersive mode first time as many videos suggested to play straight into immersive first… And I was so surprised that I got to kill him pretty early in the game… He was so hyped up in the trailer, I thought he’s gonna be in the game longer… So, what would happen in gear mode on..? Is the mission cannot be played at all until a certain level..?
I did it on the level mode
You can kill walker in literally the first opening mission in the game, the where weaver is killed. You have a brief opening befire he hops onto the chopper.

breakpoint is easily one of those games where i wish i could see/play the game the devs actually wanted to make before the publisher stepped in and made them change everything halfway through
Like Dragon's Dogma :( but now we're getting Dragon's Dogma 2 and that one's gonna be all the first one wasn't allowed to be. But DD1 was already great, so I don't know. Maybe Ubisoft will redeem the Ghost Recon franchise with the next one or\and with the Splinter Cell Remake.
Bernthal is the only character in the game who has consistently good voice acting in the game the others either suck at voice acting or like nomad are good in some scenes & bad in others

@N7 K the last great COD was BO2. Everything started going downhill since Ghost and kept going down hard until MW2019 kinda slowed down the downhill spiral with literally Warzone saving COD
they need to do an open world Punisher Game with Jon Bernthal in the style of RDR2/GTA/Batman Arkham series.

Hopefully if they make a Punisher game they add some pretty brutal villians (Skinheads, Cartels, Bikers, and maybe some occultists)
Fun fact: Volition (the company behind saints row) actually made a very good punisher game in 2005, and they worked on an open world based sequel for a good bit before it got cancelled, and they wound up working a lot of the mechanics into the first saints row game.

I feel like the entire design team was fired during the middle of production, because cutscene quality went to shit, Wildlands was better.
Its like the developers had a crush on John Berenthal his character model looked the best while alot of the side characters look like shit.
ever notice how bad the last cutscene with walker at his base was put together where he saids your making me kill my best friend when it give you a choice what to say when it goes back to walker he’s acting like he’s scared and worried that comes out of nowhere.
Tbf for some reason the development was spread over 5-8 studios, so no wonder it turned out barely salvagable

I’d agree but wildlands didn’t have the super tactical things and barely even had walker so I have to disagree also I like the forest feeling more then vast desert.
Walker was the best part of this game, an actually good character as a villain in a Tom Clancy game, almost best voice acting, a close second to Hill

I enjoy how every rifle in the cutscenes are the exact same, holographic sight, angled grip, and a 20 round mag
Despite Halo Infinite being pretty abysmal, 343 animated Chief holding every type of weapon you can hold during cutscenes in the campaign.
And Ubisoft can't even do that when the emphasis in Wildlands and Breakpoint is apparently role play.
GTA V did that aswell, hell the game was released before this
I mean they basically did that in Wildlands so why is that surprising? Nomad always carried an ACR.

@@liquidsnake4943 That's when you start as part of your starting loadout, at the end of the game you see Nomad carrying a customized ACR.

I actually met Jon at Wizard World (Comic Con) New Orleans just prior to his appearance in Wildlands, and he’s a really cool guy.
I just love Jon. I think he could of played as a character in red dead.

Here we have a character, one of the few examples Ubisoft failed to use at full potential. Walker could had been used so much more. We are talking about a character that appeared from Wildlands, that turned rogue, yet so few scenes with him, and such cheap death he got. Ubisoft starts to dissapoint us, or some of us, more and more.
The completely bare plate carriers make me cry inside.

Also the parallel between Walker dragging a bloody Nomad early in their story and Nomad dragging the dying Walker
Wish you would've showed wildland cut scenes cause it kinda leads into this like when Walker lost his comrades I think that was a huge turning point for him

I havent played the main story since the game came out, played through the dlcs and I'm working on conquest right now. Honestly forgot how much I loved this character and how disappointed I am that he wasn't used as much as we all would've hoped. I would love a Ghost Recon game that takes place back when walkers still a ghost.
more emotion is put into the 30 seconds of weavers voice acting than any of the dialogue with holt

"Wannabe" is right - it's the same CIA puke who sent Nomad to Bolivia, the one Walker says "you never saw". The habit of flicking his lighter is meant to be the giveaway.

That said, Ghosts are under CIA control, right? (Breakpoint is the only GR game I've played, so I don't know all the backstory.) So they - and their 'general' - would be outside normal protocols, including chain-of-command and uniform regs (witness all the personalised gear). Maybe that particular 'general' thinks that black fatigues and a beret (all 'sterile', or without badges or markings of any kind) are How He Should Look to command an irregular unit like the Ghosts?
Oh hey, didn't realized he'd be around the cutscene where you first meet Jace Skell. One of the first things I did when I started the game and got used to the hardest difficulty was kill him lol so that cutscene played with only Josiah and the other four Wolves without Walker.
John berthnal is such a good actor. I wish you could be on his side

Walker was the real deal man.. really liked the character Jon was portraying.

Jon Bernthal did an excellent work as Walker. Loved the character, really improved from Wildlands, so sad he was barely used and his death was quite lame
Jon is great in this role, I would have rather had a dlc storyline where we play as walker or one of his wolves before the start of the takeover

Walker's development was written so bad in Wildlands, I'm glad this game gave him more personality and character development.
Imagine a guy dropping dead in front of you and just standing still looking one way. Then the next guy drops and you CONTINUE to kneel there and not move
Man Ubisoft really likes to underutilise their antagonists in their games, Walker could’ve been so much better since his parts in the game are really good, wish we could join him
Breakpoints probably one of my Favorite Ghost Recon games for having some familiar faces and some new faces ( Jon Bernthal ) but the only thing I think I hate about Breakpoint was Weavers death. He was one of the OG Ghost and he dies right off the bat..
Walker was in GR:Wildlands believe it or not. Part of the scenes from the cutscenes are actually some scenes that were from continuation of Wildlands but more condensed and main focus on your friendship with you and walker.
When I got the game a few weeks ago one of the cutscenes dates was that day and I was confused 🤣
