such a comfort-content creator. the struggle is so real. for now, the mantra I keep repeating to myself is - food is fuel, physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. life is for the living and you can't live without it.
@@runcamelrun thankyou so so much 🤍 I love this that’s a great mantra to stand by, keep on going sending much love to you!
your insight into how the ed affects your mind is so valuable to continue progressing in recovery. you're doing the damn thing and opposite action is the best thing you can do for yourself. keep getting your life back!!
So soo true !! it is all beginning to unravel week by week as I get stronger 🙌🏼 thankyou so much
your little chats are so helpful and i relate so much to them. your makeup (and you) are so pretty ❤ so proud of you for pushing through this! i always look forward to your videos, as always so proud and sending you love x

Thank you for sharing your weekend with us. I really enjoyed the video. Transitioning back into 'proper' clothes is definitely a hard thing.
Thankyou so much, I’m so glad you enjoyed watching! Also yes! Extremely difficult but the more exposure we get the easier and more natural it will feel again 😊
Your three min real chat got me good 😢 you’re my comfort person I swear, you make me feel so safe. Also I am now making myself a jacket potato beans and cheese because you made me want it really bad
Wow straight back to fulltime working, that is hard! Good luck on finding a new routine ❤
I feel the ‘minions’ too! Thank you for speaking openly about these things. I always trust that you’re being honest about the realities of recovery, and it is greatly appreciated because your relatability helps me to feel less alone ☺️ Sorry to hear it was an emotional time for you, that must have been really hard but you’re so strong and I’m so proud of you! 💜
It’s such a funny sensation isn’t it !!! But pretty amazing what our bodies can do for us ❤️🩹 thankyou so much it makes me so happy to hear that it’s helpful! I’m sending you much love on your own journey, keep on going

Dear Demi.
I usually do not comment on videos, but now I really felt the need, because i can see myself in you, and your struggles. Im 31 yo medical doctor (during cardiology specialty). I ‘m dealing with anorexia for at least 15 years. What is worse I taught i was recovered for some time, but now i have a full blown relaps. It sucks. Sucks. Really sucks! And since i see the same patterns in You i wanted to ask you few tings.
Firstly i know You’re a Tabitha Farrar’s fan. She literally saved my life few years ago. Rehabilitate Rewire Recover, her yt channel, her podcast. It all kickstarted my Recovery journey. I was wondering if you ever considered starting making your recovery as Tabitha teaches in her work? Like, using her knowledge to do this recovery thing as fast and successful as possible? Also, did You consider working with recovery coach like her? Because what i see is same selective approach as I implemented. I skipped a few steps thinking i can recover and eat “healthy”, thinking that reducing exercise and letting lower level movement stay. And for some time it worked. I was working out moderately, eating my mostly healthy things, that i “really like, because I’m fascinated by nutrition”, also allowing myself some “unsafe foods in moderation. What is terrible, I don’t know when, the little door started to opening, and little by little the “healthy, organic, non processed foods” started to take all the space. The healthy amount of exercise morphed into compulsive overexercising. And i came into realization, that I wouldn’t probably loose another fking years of my life being in fact quasi recovered. I really am proud of Your progress. I really think you are pushing. But just wanted to warn You, that almost all the words, statements, staples as “i need my oats every day because I genuinely love them” or “my walks are fine and i need them”, i also said, did and now… i’m 31 and lost best years of my life. And ironically am a doctor, who is ill and cannot help himself. Lot’s of love. And sorry for my english (i’m from Poland). If you’d like a pen pal to talk to i’d really like to have a recovering, similar soul to speak with. Mateusz.
@@mateuszgraczyk1530 Hello! Thank you so much for reaching out to me and sharing some of your story and experience! I’m so sorry to hear how much you have struggled and suffered. You are so incredible for continuing to fight everyday, I hope you have support around you also to bounce back from your relapse. Remember you can do this and challenge will create change. I think that you perfectly described and pick up on the things that I am still subconsciously doing e.g walking etc. I think it’s hard sometimes to distinguish between the anorexia and yourself. It’s all a learning curve and it takes time to fully heal. For sure I love Tabitha’s approach and I do want to be more like Tabitha in my approach to recovery. Some days I am able to have that mindset ☺️ Keep on fighting, sending you so much positivity! I am always here if you ever want to chat!
@@Demiproudman thank You for your kind words! Unfortunately in Poland the eating disorder help and treatment is even worse than in UK. We don't have any recovery coaches and specialists are not health at every size informed ... What is ironic, I implement HAES in my practise with patients, but have troubles with it when it comes for me. Such a hypocrite! I really, truly wanted to reach out to you, because you have an amazing opportunity to navigate your first recovery attempt and avoid my mistakes... I feel like after every relaps, when time passes it gets harder and harder. I have plenty of resources to share. For example Dr Jennifer Gaudiani and her book Sick Enough. Also yt channel of Kayla Rose Kotecki, who recovered from ED and exercise addiction. Now I'm still contemplating another recovery attempt, but it's so hard when you are a doctor and all your colleagues are fatphobic and praise physical activity at any cost... If you want to keep in touch, have any questions etc write me an email at mateusz.graczyk@me.com it's easier when You have somebody who knows what you feel to talk to. Have a good day!
A tip for you as an oats lover: it is almost fig season, and adding a fresh fig (chopped into pieces) in the oats while cooking them is delicious! 🥣❤️
This sounds delishhh ❤❤
You're just so amazing Demi, I always feel happy after watching your videos, you looked so beautiful in the blue shirt.💙
Thankyou so much Jack 🥰
@@Demiproudman You're welcome.😀
hehe I was wondering if you ever mix your oatmeal bowls? (with the toppings). I feel you on the changing part. It is hard. But, something to remember if that you are gaining weight that you should have NEVER EVER lost in the first place. You are gaining it back because it shouldn't have left you. (But please remember that you also need to gain 10-15% above that weight in order to fully heal your body and brain and prevent relapse. This is proven) You are working so hard, so you go girl!!! Keep pushing xxx. One thing I will say is that your portions still seem to be quite small... You are right about eating a snack even if you are not hungry. 3 meals and 3 snacks minimum no matter what. However, a little pack of almonds is a very light snack. Perhaps you could add a drink to it (NOT water or coffee) like chocolate milk, a premade smoothie drink, an ensure plus, etc. and/or even have 2 of those packs of nuts. And for your yogurt bowl, increase the amount of granola that you use. Remember, you need the nutrition no matter how you feel. Its a medical diet. It's a prescription. Gotta get it in. Having 2 toasts with the avocado and egg. Add a drink with all meals (chocolate milk, juice, etc.) Increase the about of rice and oats and potatoes (go for 2 jacket potatoes, WITH butter and a full tin of beans). Think smart in terms of snacks and meals. One that will pack a punch! Use LOOOTS of butter and oils. More than you think!! You seriously CANNOT overdo anything. You need it all! You are in a huge energy deficit. And it takes WAYYYY more to make it up. Your portions should never ever look like those around you. They essentially have to be twice if not 3 times as much and with more butter and cream etc. Drizzle that peanut butter on your oats like you mean it hehehe. Like a real THICK amount. Same with the chocolate. Half the bar! Go for it! YOU CAN DO IT. I know you can. YOU are in charge. Not the ed. You make the moves. You will feel so much better. Not in the moment, but the long run. I promise you. You will not regret it. This will get you free and well again. And it's so normal to have 2 toasts and butter and avocado and eggs, and 2 potatoes with loads of butter and a full tin. It's nothing crazy. The ED is crazy for saying that it is, haha. Sending you all the best Demi. You are doing so well. Just keep going though, don't stop. Make the changes and don't wait!
I love reading your comments honestly they are so so helpful for me to read and reflect on, I love all of your suggestions it truly means a lot!! Got to keep on going and pushing and adding to meals for sure! Thankyou so much again sending much love
You're doing amazing Demi❤... you're super pretty, hope you know that
Thankyou so much beautiful soul ❤️ sending much love to you always
also about the physical changes, try think of future whether you want a family your health, and I heard you like fitness you need to be healthy to do that. try think of the goals it gets you towards, also its not noticable at all!! also are you doing the q and a part 2, as I loved that video x
Your right!!! Needed this the reassurance and reflection on what matters is so important, being healthy and having a future is so much more important than staying unhealthy (as hard as it is to break the cycle) it’s going to be so worth it ❤️🩹 Awh !! Thankyou I will do part 2 this week and have it uploaded at the weekend or next week x
Your looking so pretty demi and am so proud of you keep going.🤗
Thankyou so much! Sending so much love!!
Best way to get over a break-up? REBOUND!
New foods! New challenges! New amazing changes! It's going to be an incredible experience xo
YESSS!!
Thank you for uploading a lovely video!❤
Thankyou so much for watching and for the lovely comment ❤
@@Demiproudman you inspired me to go on the hunt for kellog's wheats and I discovered the expat shop selling the raisin wheats by the same brand 🎉❤️ they are so good! Thank you for making me discover this 😀 and have something to enjoy other than oats ( which i also love) Looking forward to more of your uploads 😺🌈❤️
@@lois54 I’m soooo happy that you found some 🤩🤩 they are so nice and comforting, I hope you enjoy them you deserve too ❤️
Thank you that is so kind! Just came across your video from 10 months ago (the waitrose shop and appointment with your treatment team giving you three weeks to improve)and you looked so haunted there, for want of a better word. In your recent videos you look younger and more alive, not as tormented and worn out as before. That is good! Progress can be hard as seeing your body change is no fun at all, but the way your expression changes for the better is priceless ❤
@@lois54 honestly reading this made me feel emotional (in a good way) because I know exactly which video you watched!! I think sometimes I forget how much has changed and how much progress has happened since that video ❤️ Thankyou so much this is so kind of you, I really appreciate it x
How do you make your oats? Like how much oats vs liquid? It looks so creamy!! xx
In Sweden (where I live) we have lunches like that (cooked meals) every day! Like, we actually have "dinner meals" for lunch too! So it's not much at all!
And great that you added another egg. Don't be scared to have 3-5 eggs even, since it's great to aim for at least 20-30 g protein for your main meals (4 eggs has 24 g protein)
For my oats I use 60g oats and 150ml of milk and a splash of water, I always cook them on the hob it gives the best consistency and texture 😍 also thankyou so so much for the reassurance it really means a lot
Again very inspiring and helpful ❤
Thankyou so much ❤❤

Thank you so so much for this 🩵absolutely loved coming with you for the weekend and what a fab day of eats ! would love more of these chatty vlog style what I eat in a day vids they’re the best.
I also love how you’re documenting the highs and lows of recovery and how you’re going about processing these difficult emotions as it can honestly feel like such an isolating and painful experience and often I feel people only show the best parts of recovery which makes me feel so alone but I can relate so so much to the painful feelings you’ve been experiencing and really appreciate you being so honest and vulnerable.
Keep going demi you’ve got this and remember to give yourself the love and compassion you truly deserve, this stage of recovery is so hard as you’re letting a piece of you go and for so long your emotions have been suppressed and now that you’re fueling your body more consistently your brain has the capacity to feel these emotions again which is why they feel so unbelievably intense and overwhelming, remember the more you allow yourself to feel and process these emotions, the more realisations you will have and the more progress you will make in your own recovery as you will continue to develop the strength and resilience needed to overcome this cruel illness.
Sorry for the long comment but I know you read every one hehe 🩵
Beyond proud of you! 🥹🥹🥹
Thankyou so much for this comment honestly I can’t express how much it means to me ❤
I will definitely do more of these style videos for sure and be as real to the ups and downs that recovery brings up ❤️🩹
This makes perfect sense!! The brain is almost waking up again and all of the emotions come flooding back, you explained this so beautifully thank you so much 🙌🏼
Sending much love to you
thank you for yet a video and take care, sending many hugs to you
suggest you spend more time with your fam and pamper yourself with things you enjoy to surpass the negative thoughts and to feel better, like treating yourself with smelling extra nice, a bath or meals out :)

it’s not weird at all thank you so much for the lovely compliment that’s super kind of you to say ❤❤
Hi I need some advice, how do I deal with the repetitive thoughts?
Have you tried journaling? Also my therapist told me about this but when you get these negative / repetitive thoughts imagine a dvd player as soon as they come into your mind, stop and pause and decide if you want to press play and carry on with the thoughts or switch them off take a deep breath and then try and carry on :)) I hope this makes sense it really does work but can take some practice!
Thank you for the advice demi and I totally get what you mean thanks for the help. x
Add some kewpi mayo to that avo-egg salad!
i put cumin in a carrot cake before i completely understand the fear😭😭i’ll never be able to smell cumin the same again
Ohhhh hell noooo 😭😭 I bet you also triple check now tooo hahahaha :))
