4K Driving from Laramie to Cheyenne, Wyoming

Another dashcam driving tour video. Part of the Spring 2021 Western USA trip, June 5th, 2021. Day 6 driving east on Interstate 80. This drive climbs over a mountain pass with pine trees before turning barren and flat, almost to Nebraska! Drive virtually throughout the West!

Love I 80 across Wyoming. Such wide open spaces and uncongested highways. But when the wind kicks up, whooee! Just blowing across the wide open plains, freezing cold. Been to Chimney Rock in Nebraska. Part of my Oregon Trai road trip in 2021. Nice museum. After Chimney Rock, i cross back into Wyoming working my way back to Idaho.

I love it to, have you seen my recent Wyoming videos? The campground 1 mile down the road from Chimney Rock was amazing, saw the Rock lit up at night while camping :)

We drove that stretch on April 15th, from Ogallala, NE to Rock Springs, WY. Fog was thick as pea soup and the trees were snow covered and frozen - then suddenly we popped out of it near Laramie (if I remember right). Slow going - about 35mph - while people more familiar with the road blew by in spite of the visibility and threat of black ice. Thankfully after Laramie it was clear all the way back to the north Olympic peninsula.

Nice, that sounds like a fun time to do the drive from the PNW to the Great Plains! I am so looking forward to fall and leaves changing color, rain and snow, plus clouds.
