Sarawak is more rustic and tribal than the other states. Some people don’t like that but it’s a heaven for anthropologists and naturalists. Not as touristy as Sabah or the peninsula. And, let’s keep Sarawak that way. Every state has its own unique heritage and characteristics. Good for you Steve & Ivana for exploring the Iban longhouse experience.

I concur. I would consider Steve and Ivana to be most qualified to tell what Malaysia is all about. They've now been to all the states/States in Malaysia. Some people vlog about Malaysia but they've never even set foot or even heard about East Malaysia. 😆

Cooking foods in bamboo is the way we Borneo people especially the village people cooked when in deep jungle. The Adidas Kampung traveled all the way from Sabah to Sarawak with you guys 👍🏻 I'm pretty sure that I can say both of you (Steve and Ivana) are certified Jungle Guy & Lady 😎 Thank you for being the eyes to the world outside of Sabah & Sarawak (Borneo). Steve & Ivana, thank you for introducing us to the Iban's Long-House community. If you are researchers I would not know it, turning your etic [outsiders] approach to Iban phenomenology [lived experience] to an "emic" [insiders] personal phenomenology [lived experience]. Awesome.

Young children in rural areas started to stay in boarding school far away from their parents at early age of 7yrs and only back once a week or once in a two weeks to their respective village.....thus the children's in the rural areas are always very independent because of the way they brought up....
