This is the best Sarawak Laksa video I've ever watched on UA-cam. This is the kind of reaction I would expect for someone who had never tried Laksa before 👍👍👍 The moment he said "one more", I was like "Yes! Yes! That's the kind of reaction you must have!" in my heart 😁😁 Though I was born in Kuching, this is still my reaction every time I eat Laksa, "one more". My dad would said "enough!" 🤣

Chu you should try midin( local fern only found in Sarawak belacan ). Very famous local delicacies are Ayam Pansoh( chicken in bamboo), fish umai(raw fish with ginger, onion, lime and chillies) and many more...you can try at Lepau restaurant...ask them also about "tuak" our local rice wine. Please try before you go back to KL. Before you go home you should buy Sarawak's famous layered cake to bring back to KL. You can keep in the fridge and will last longer. For me its best eaten chilled with coffee or tea.

Chu Bro the drink you have is called three layer tea, the bottom layer is sugar syrup, middle layer is condensate milk and top layer is tea. Those layer well mixed before you drink.

The foods that i missed the most whenever i think of Kuching is the Mee Kolok at Sepinang Sari Cafe, and the Meehoon Goreng Kerang at Warung Nusantara located next to UTC Kuching. Wish i can go back there again.

Hi Chu Bro! I've been watching u & since u're in Kuching I can't help but to recommend u a better Sarawak laksa which I think is much better than what Anthony Bourdain tried. It's called Jalan Song Laksa located in Expert Food Court (BDC area). U will need to go there before 10am. I hope u still have the time to try this laksa!
For kolo mee, I recommend u one of the best ones at Mui Chin Cafe (somewhere Jalan Rambutan). Must go there early before 9am. And must try the red kolo mee!

Laksa at Choon Hui is very delicious too, it's beside Grand Continental Hotel. Next you must try Kolo Mee, Kampua Mee, Midin, Kek Lapis Sarawak, Ayam Pansuh, Tomato Mee.
Don't forget Umai and penganan
Well Chu, in sarawak we don't say sedap... we say " Nyaman" ... if betul sedap, we say "nang Nyaman".. you can ask the local how to pronounce it and maybe you can shout " Nyaman" next 😜 have a very " Nyaman" trip in sarawak Chu 👍

Welcome to Sarawak bro! I recommend another famous noodle place called "Sepinang Sari" at Satok. They are one of the most popular Mee Kolok place here in Kuching, always full of people. Our previous prime minister Muhyiddin went to eat there. I also brought my friends from Sweden and they loved to eat there.
Another food you can try is a Melanau restaurant called "Barong Tinuk" at Jln Merdeka. I recommend trying a dish called "Linut", "Umai" and ikan bakar there.
Hi Chu Bro. First of all I love all your videos! If you ever come to Sarawak again, i recommend you to have some nice meals at Nancy Beef Noodle in Miri, Sarawak. A very well known shop and has been very much the local’s favourite for many years.
Must try menus are beef noodle, laksa and also fish porridge which are being served in a hot pot. They also have good choice of fresh juices too 😊

To me Sarawak laksa is best tasting of different varieties of Malaysia laksa. Lemon grass aroma with coconut milk and not so too spicy hot. My homemade laksa is cooked with broth made from prawn shells. Best with thin thai rice vermicelli, rather with noodles.
