There is no Islamic country that I would want to live in. NONE.
My sister and her husband lived in Saudi on the Aramco commune. They were there for 3 years. The situation for women was not good. If she left the commune she had to wear a long robe, with sleeves that covered her arms, and a head covering. There were many slights ,because she was a woman. Those people who march in the numerous demonstrations have no idea what they are marching for. It is not for a cease fire, as they think, but to promote muslim ideology, and the changing of western culture. Be afraid, be very afraid.

There are fifty-seven Muslim countries, and the cultures of these countries vary greatly . Most Muslims are not in Arab countries; they are in Southeast Asia.

@@adlenechellali2419 I don't care what the media says, however, I have friends who travelled and lived/worked in several Muslims countries. Also, I have met MANY ex-Muslims (and some Muslims) who came from Muslim countries for school (I worked in academia and met many students who came to Canada to work on their MSc and PhD degrees) - all were happy to get out of those countries and would not move back, especially the women.
I find that only believing Muslims would say what you are saying, but few non-Muslims would chose to live in those countries. As I'm sure you know, many have blasphemy laws (if unofficial, still "enforced" by mob rule) and they are dangerous places to be for free thinking people.

I had a few people where I used to work call the country they came from "back home" and they talked about how Canada needed to change and adopt sharia law. I asked them if "back home" was so great and sharia law was so great WHY did they come here? Why didn't they just stay where they already had all the things they thought were so great. We of broadly Christian values have changed and developed over the approx. 2000 years since the religion was founded, where as Islam seems not to have changed at all in the 700 yrs. or so since it was founded. We now live in 2024 and peoples lives should reflect this.

i've frequently wondered why someone would move to another place because they thought it was worse. of course no one would. therefore, if one moves somewhere else and tries to make this new place more like the other place, suspicions naturally arise. and for good reason.
Of all places, Iran has one of the highest number of people undergoing sexual reassignment surgeries. I know that sounds surprising but once you realize why, it becomes easier to grasp. The reason is because same-sex relationships are forbidden and punishable by death in Iran but being a transsexual person is not. So, in order to be in a relationship in Iran with someone who is the same biological sex as you, you have to become the other sex.
I didn't know that. Makes sense though.

The rental car company that she rented a car from tried to charge her for damage to the car, (I believe was the story) and was told that she would be detained until she paid for it.
