I think Jayden Daniels has that wow factor.
You are never going to know for sure if a QB is a sure bet in the draft. Lawrence is not blowing away anybody. You have to pull the trigger on a guy early and hope for the best. As long as they don't trade away the future to get the no1 pick, I am fine with either Maye, Daniels, or Williams
Jim harbaugh runs NFL defense in college. He exposed old QB pennex with 2 bad knees. Nah gotta pass
With that being said I would trade our pick for Lawrence in a heart beat.
100% agree! I know fans are excited about trading up to get Caleb but I really doubt that. We just saw a team trade up to the #1 pick for a qb and it cost them the ability to put talent around him.
I love Rickkkk
My boy rick!
The Washington optimism lol
This fanbase is clueless 😂
Nearly three decades of ineptitude has my brain scarred with this rebuild. I am starting to get a good vibe from the ownership down to the coaching staff....but that hesitancy is still there after too many disappointments. That being said....the optimistic side of me is starting to rare up a bit more than the cautiously side. If they have a strong draft....(0.o) Fingers crossed that this team will continue to build and show that they are competent because after all of what he have had before THAT is what we want most...competency!!!
lol 2 weeks ago no one was talkn about Quinn as a good HC hire outside of Bishop mentioning him a little and absolutely no one was even mentioning Kingsbury as a OC candidate.. and now all the Junks and DC sports Radio acting like Quinn was the HC hire all along, how great a OC Kingsbury, and that WAS nailed all the hires 🤣
Keim always said "they like him very much and wouldn't be the worst"
All this "radio changed tone" reveals whose casual fan vs actually listening to those in the know
Accurate.
The best plan is take Marvin Harrison Jr then take best offensive lineman in the 2nd. Get best available the rest of the draft with OL, LB, Edge in mind. We'll be fine drafting Bo Nixon or Ridder in the middle rounds. This gives Howell another legit assessment year while the rookie QB learns his first year. If Howell ends up having a good year and the rookie QB has shown to the Coaches that they can be the future....well then you have a nice trade piece in Howell to get more draft assets in 2025.
I agree
That sounds good. If you're not picking a good QB that early then you had better pick the next Megatron or Trent Williams. I like the potential upside of Joe Milton. He checks all the boxes and would be available in the mid to late rounds but he would need a lot of time holding a clipboard.
@jeffreymeehan3116 I one point I was thinking getting Joe Milton in the middle rounds too. He has a strong arm and very mobile but he's definitely raw and will be a project. I like Ridder now though....the more film I see on him the more impressed I become.
Marvin, Harrison, Junior, and the lineman can be a bust. Also, y’all do know that right
@@Saucelight88 I do understand that
These dudes are crazy. If you believe these two quarterbacks can’t change our franchise you are crazy right along with them. I’m drafting either one of the quarterbacks Williams or Daniels hands-down.
People are showing there true IQ levels with this topic.. it’s very logic based and they can’t grasp the fact they anywhere you draft that player could be a bust, no matter the position. You have to draft a quarterback, until you get one.
Listen if you draft a QB.. you keep drafting until you land.
I'm okay with drafting a QB every 4yrs or shorter until you hit....
... And depending on your roster needs in a specific year... Id draft 2
I mean even if you make it a habit to draft a QB late round every other year... You develop a type of farm system.
And if you hit on 2 avg guys you can get draft capital back.
So draft Daniels or Maye and see what happens
Absolutely. What choice do you have? Since FA, the salary cap and rules stacked against the defense you can't just buy an all pro offensive line and win games with an average quarterback. No stud QB in 2024 you ain't winning shit. Consistently anyway
Like Rick snider call in :)
Guarded optimism
Rick Snider is smart he knows Sam Howell's potential...also Justin Fields would be awesome we have the money and we can use our picks to secure O line and secondary
Kam Curl not worth it🤔Same thing happened with Bashard Breeland Washington let him go Kansas City snatched him up💯 he's definitely Worth it..... He's the one bright spot with exp in Washington Secondary....Dan Quinn Will See that...
I have listened to you junkies for a long time and generally speaking think you guys are unique and informative. I have a suggestion. If you could put each junk's name somewhere in the video so you know weather its bickel or lurch or who is pontificating at the time. Then in comments you can say I agree or more likely disagree with JP. Even though I like them I don't really I'd each. Just a thought.
Also I like Rick Sanders idea. If its so close between the top 3 Qbs. Why give up what they say for a guy that you aren't even sure is the best of the 3?
Kirk would be a great mentor for Sam and could start for a year or 2. By then you could be certain about Sam
Washington can not waste pics trading up to get the 1st pick we need to keep all our pics and use them to rebuild so they should plan on who they want and if there around at pic two good if not go with the back up choice.
What is he eating at the 11:20 mark?
It's called a salad.
If we stick with Sam or trade for Fields, then you can trade back the 2nd pick (likely a couple future 1st rounders and more). Those extra picks can then be leveraged to move up in the next draft if we so choose.
SN: Why would the Bears even consider trading out of the first pick if Fields wasn’t any good..?
Exactly. Caleb is a pipe dream.
I’m not saying Caleb isn’t good (i really don’t know). I just want us all to keep an open mind and let Peters/Quinn do their thing
Look at Bryce Young and RG3. There are no guarantees, and to give up capital doubles the error if wrong. I read where Maye stock is dropping, out of top 10, maybe 1st round, but we are sitting good at 2. I understand not gambling on Howell bouncing back, but we already lose a possible franchise LT or WR by spending #2 on a QB, let's not do more damage by giving up 2024 2nd round, 2025 1st, and maybe even Jon Allen for another hole to fill for 1 spot to pick a QB that has played zero snaps in NFL.
You've got some like me who think Howell wasn't given a fair shot, some who think CW is a bust, and some who don't want to lose capital over him. That's a lot of fans that don't want CW for various reasons.
After that presser, I too felt that Johnson wasn’t the right fit. Love this coaching team.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You can tell Rick dosnt know much about the QBs coming out in the draft
I agree with Rick trading the #2 pick for draft capital, just not for Fields..You can get Penix in the 2nd RD most likely..Caleb Williams has been sacked 83 times and fumbled 30 (that's right, 30) times..why is no one talking this atrocious ball security?
Rick contradicted himself so many times in this interview. Glad he's not a GM. I don't like any of these QB's, but i really haven't watched film like that smh. But he would trade for Justin Fields but didn't know about the contract information.
A lot of people feel like they have the answers because they use the phrase. ” I don’t want a shiny new toy” without actually doing their research
Chase a bust? 🤣 literally destroyed his whole knee and is his 1st year back
Justin fields? Wtf 😂😂😂
He lost me when he started talking draft, Justin Fields contract eats up a lot of cap after next year
The idea that " you only get so many chances to pick this high" or "If you're picking this high you gotta take a QB" or "New Staff & GM they need THEIR GUY" is all Garbage. Adam Peters is coming from a REAL Perennial Contender and I hope he ignores the top pick QB Fallacy and follows and improves the gameplan the 49ers, and KC laid, and that Detroit is following to be the best they've ever been.
Spending your grocery money on lottery tickets will only give you that warm and fuzzy false hope until you get hungry.
Drafting a QB when your team is Top 5-10 Pick bad is wasting your money on lottery tickets.
In Peters' 1st year in SF, they needed a QB, but they needed a whole bunch of other things, a lot more so they swapped back and let someone else draft the UNC QB and went BPA.
Was with Rick until the QB conversation. Justin Fields? Kid can throw the easy stuff. Absolutely can't read the zone to hit the gaps. After 4 years? Yeah no. And Caleb, Drake or Jayden all have as good as chance as any to succeed in today's game.
tough mindset then hires someone who thinks a fullback is a WR that ate to much? Air raid was developed to exploit bad CBs in college and can be called from a single note card. There is nothing tough about air raid. Now time to listen and see what folks have to say...
You guys are the worst let's see if y'all leak information about Dan or his oc😳
