For years and years my team from the eating disorder service have told me how my behaviour, eating lifestyle is not sustainable and I just brush it off, even though I know deep down the truth but just hearing you say everything my team has tried to drum into me and knowing that your not a professional in the eating disorder service gives me some hope that in time I can allow myself to believe it a little more and therefore actually commit fully to recovery xx

I too recently looked back at my fitness pal and I was eating as little as 800 cals a day, it made me really sad. I've put on a little bit of weight in the last year but my god life is good without restriction. Finding that happy balance currently. Oh gosh can relate at fifteen in three months I lost so much weight from being mfp obsessed would only eat a tiny amount each day so much I lost two thirds of my.body weight was hospitalized on a heart monitor as they thought I was going to pass I had to go inpatient for anorexia so lucky at 26 now to be here I still have a heart murmur but reversed the osteoporosis I developed so thankful for that 👏💖
So true Hannah what you said about eating habits my eating habits changed too I used to be so restrictive with mine with chocolate and gums that whenever I had a treat day I would just binge eat them . Now I incorporate them into my diet if I want them so that I am binge eating them anymore. Loved your video. Xx

I'm also guilty of eating less throughout the day in order to accommodate for higher calorie dinners as my boyfriend is not in a calorie deficit and I don't want to restrict his eating just because of me. How would you recommend dealing with this differently
When loosing weight i go off thoughts do i need this food or do i just want it. I tell myself i should only eat if i really need it for example if im actually hungry not just because i want it. I learnt really good control thinking this way so its useful for weight loss but i take it too far unfortunately. I have a restrictive eating disorder. A useful video thanks.

As a long distance runner, who runs at least 10 miles per day and weight trains, you can still gain fat if you don’t track now and then, especially if you want to stay lean and you get use to how many calories are in what if you’ve done it for years. Yes fat loss is, being in a calorie deficit, 5000 calories of chicken.. it’s ‘healthy’ BUT you’d gain weight. The common mistake women do is suddenly go on a diet, eat 1200 calories… after a couple of weeks they’re starving, binge, gain weight and the cycle continues. Where the 1200 calorie thing comes from I’ll never know. Find your maintenance through tracking what you would eat normally day to day and gradually reduce from there, 200 cals. People don’t relapse especially if they are overweight they can start with a lot more food. Too low.. you’ll hit a dead end, no room to drop etc. consistency is the most Important thing, months not weeks, be patient. If you mess up on a day it won’t undo it all. Unfortunately girls these days see too much online of perfect bodies but this is the 1%, not reality. Great video Hannah x

I used to do exactly the same with ordering a black coffee and never letting myself have a cappuccino or a latte or something. I don’t know how I did it, I hate black coffee now 😂

i’m currently losing weight and i feel like i’ve been restrictive but i’ve struggled with binge eating previously so i’m worried that if i do let myself have like a small snack that’s slightly unhealthy or something that i would relapse and fall back into this. do you have any advice? xx
My advice with this is make sure you are eating enough and not restricting too much, if you restrict too much and don’t eat a small bit of what you fancy let’s say a small chocolate bar regularly then you will relapse and binge, but if you allow it in your diet then you won’t obsessively think about it as much! And also eating enough calories you will be able to fit it into your diet. I was in a calorie deficit for a while and lost 2 stone but I still ate quite a lot of calories and in a small deficit and I’ve managed to keep it off for 2 years now without watching what I eat too much. Hope that helps x

intuitive eating is the way to go to overcome binge eating! it will feel like you eat unhealthy all the time but eventually things will even out
