    I like your “silly “ rules and a lot of them I subconsciously take into account. Love the no awkward sizes rule. It does make sense when you expect to be able to fit large electronics into it.😊 I hope to see the Vela in person one day. I love the middle fold and the vintage coin purse opening.

      I'm so happy my new work laptop is not bigger than my old one, I was scared I could retire some of my bags otherwise. 😂 Thanks for watching! 😘

    I have noticed that when I really wanted a bag in an unusual color but bought in a neutral one 'to be reasonable', I always ended up regretting it. But last year I had a color analysis and now have a wardrobe that is mostly in my '"season", so as long as the bag works with that, I won't resist a fun color anymore :) However I want the bag to fit into my lifestyle. I totally understand your "too small but also too big" problem, I agree it's something to pay attention to.

      I should still get a color analysis some time, I think I’m winter (so black is quite fine 😂) but I feel I can also get away with autumn to some extent. But I’ll strive to get more color into my bag collection, because that little *pop* can really enhance the outfit. ❤️

    Agree with “no duplicates,” except when it comes to black or brown. 😅 these days, I have these rules
    -light weight
    -no white canvas straps
    -must fit my phone and sunglasses
    -check resellers sites first
    -no open structured bags (bc all your things will fall out)

      Those are some great rules, thanks for sharing! 😁 I'm totally with you on the no white canvas straps, or perhaps just no white canvas in general. 😂

    IMHO I think everyone should have their own rules (even influencers)…unless you’re a bag collector! 😅 The CD Bobby bag has a feature that I just can not unsee! 😬

      Unless your happy to have bags sit pretty on your shelves, having rules is definitely a good idea! 😁 And I totally see (and cannot unsee) what you’re saying about the CD Bobby! 🙈

    I chuckled at the fact that that one Chloe bag broke multiple rules 😂

      Which is why I never wear it 🤣 we live we learn

    Very relatable rules 👍but in some cases, I tend to reconsider some handbags such as their versatility in how I can carry or style them.

      That’s a great rule too! Definitely helps to get more use out of your collection. ❤️ It’s not something I conscientiously take into account, but because I love tophandle styles, I’ll often buy bags with at least two carry options (tophandle + shoulder/crossbody).

    I am OFFICIALLY adding the no impulse purchases rule to my list. I NEED that in my repertoire immediately!!! I have found that when I stopped to think about a bag longer I tend not to get it.

      It can definitely be a hard rule to follow, but one of the best ones. There’s not a lot of bags that will ‘haunt’ me if I miss out on them. I think we both have amazing and satisfying collections to fall back on. 🥰

    The tails. Haha. Love it.

  • @ddbookie

    Totally relatable rules for many of them! The tail rule was a bit different but I get it. There is always a design element that does float everyone’s boat. For me, I’m not a very big fan of tassels. I definitely get the discount rule. I wait as well, I think almost all of my bags I got on a discount with a few exceptions. And it was because they were less than 300 dollars. Great video, I’m so glad you were able to do the tag. TFS 😊

      Thanks for the tag! Haha sometimes things indeed just don't look good without a clear reason, that's just up to personal preference. 😅 But waiting for discounts and getting a good deal is always a win!

    Actually all your rules are relatable even the last one I have some elements I stay away from that just bug me for what ever reason. I am there with you on the white I have 2 white bags and I think that will be it ok well I have some vintage Dooney in bone which is off white but yes I have trouble reaching for them.
    The one I would have a hard time following but need to absolutely learn is the no impulse buying 🤦‍♀️ yes I’m not good at that especially if it’s in sale I like to use that as an experimental time if it’s a great price great job love it TFS 🛍️👛🦆🙏🚢

      Interesting that you have similar rules! You know how to rock a good bucket bag however, every time I see you with one I'm tempted to get a bucket bag too. 😁

    I can relate to most of your rules. I definitely don’t buy bags on impulse and will wait to find a discount. Also I don’t buy light or too bright color bags. I have a couple and don’t use them as much, I have 1 white bag but always worried it will stain! 🤦🏻‍♀️
    Only rule I don’t agree on is the tassels, I do like tassels and dangling things from bags! 😆

    • @loyayyay
      @loyayyay  3 місяці тому

      I don’t have an issue with tassels, they are fun! 😁 only have it when it’s just one strap of leather sticking out that’s usually (somewhat) fixed in place. It’s weird, I just always feel like I’m looking at the butt of an animal. 🤣

    For me the issue with the Tabby bag is that heavy buckle. I have the same issue with the Loewe Granada bag… but for I can at least leave the flap open when I wear under my shoulder. It is not possible to do so for the Coach Tabby bag.

    • @loyayyay
      @loyayyay  3 місяці тому +1

      Very good point! The buckle is indeed heavy and I find it difficult to put in place, even though it's magnetic. From a functional perspective the Tabby is also not 100% my favorite.
