- In my recent unwishlist video I already mentioned that I'm not planning to buy Loewe any time soon. In today's video I'm going to unpack the arguments for that a little bit more. These are just my opinions, no offense intended - I still love my current Loewe collection. 🥰

Great discussion. I agree that Loewe made their pricing too high to me, before their bags became that high in demand. I love my puzzle bag and want one in small. I also love the flamenco but in a big size like a tote. But I’m not paying those prices.
I got my small Puzzle end of 2021, just checked and it's 1.5x as expensive now. 🤯 I totally understand you're not paying those prices...neither am I! Thanks for watching! ❤️
I just got the big flamenco, large size, for a tote bag and I think it's still worth the price. The price of the mini is ridiculous, I got mine for 1400 LAST year, and now it's 1800!! I love the large, I bought it mainly for traveling, it's big when open and can fit a lot, but then it scrunches into a normal everyday bag you can use on holidays
I fell in love with the small size puzzle bag when it still had the shoulder protector on the strap and feet, and was so disappointed when they changed it. Now with the edge design I feel they’ve ruined it altogether. Really was such an innovative bag…unlike anything else out there. It’s weird that they didn’t just leave it alone. I think it was around 1800€ when I lived in Europe!
The OG Puzzle was the best! Unfortunately when I started buying luxury bags, they had already removed the feet and the shoulder protector. I totally agree that they should’ve just left it, with the Edge they’ve strayed too far from the original design.

I had been waiting for their sale to happen since June last year, and it hasn’t. It’s really sad that they’ve not only raised their prices quite astronomically, but seems to have stopped handbag promotions. They did have sales on some RTW. I might also switch from wanting the Loewe pouch bag to something from BV since I don’t have any BV. And everyone in the handbags community is bewildered by their move to modify their classic and best selling model, the Puzzle 🤦♀️
I still see a bit of sales here on Loewe leather goods, but it's little and just no so attractive with the higher prices. I can definitely get better deals on Bottega bags over here, which is why my attention is moving there, but don't know what it's like in Singapore of course. 😅
@@loyayyay Bottega is a slightly higher in price than Loewe, but I’m watching out for them on Cettire (I have some credit there anyway). If I don’t find a good deal there, I’ll hold off till I go to Europe again 🛍️
I agree with you. I was considering buying a Loewe puzzle bag but have since changed my mind. There has been too many changes from the original design and not for the better. The price has increased drastically and edge design is just cheap looking to me. It gives me knock off vibes. They really need to rethink this new cheaper looking design.
I completely understand, I wouldn't put my money towards a Puzzle Edge either, even if I didn't have my regular Puzzle, it's just not the vibe for me. And that price point... 🤯
Great video! I always wanted a flamenco & a small puzzle but they kept raising prices right whenever I went to purchase it Was $1000 higher. While also removing the D ring from some sizes that adjusts it to a back pack style. I still want the pieces but now it’s so sad that the bags I loved pretty much don’t exist anymore with the design changs. I wasn’t interested at all in the edge or the new flamenco or the new hammock. All of those gave me wtf reactions

I totally agree, changes that have been made don't make these styles better and the prices only go up. 😟 At least the old styles were good quality so pre-loved may still be an option, but supply where I live is not massive and I think a lot of people probably hold on to their old Loewe items. 🤔
Their quality has gone down as well. I bought a squeeze bag last year, and within 2 months of owning it, I noticed severe tarnishing on the hardware and stitches coming out. They were able to fix it after I waited 3 months, but it’s ridiculous that an almost $5k bag has these issues.

All these brands have gotten waaaaaaaaay too high. I still hope to find a good deal for the Flameco when I am ready.
The boost in popularity for a lot of these brands haven't led them to great long term decisions. 😅 At least the Flamenco has been around for a while, I hope you can find a beautiful pre-loved piece some day!

For me yes, but only the quirky design like fuchsia orange parrot. The bag is just wow, and it packs a lot. I love my tan puzzle and large elephant, and I'm very happy with mini flamenco that packs a lot. However, recently I bought the large flamenco and the leather is divine, but much much more delicate. And what's with the logo instead of the anagram?? And what's with that freaking satin leather?? 😅
I have to admit, Loewe does do great animal bags! 😁 I also prefer the anagram over the logo, but I guess Loewe doesn't want to be so low-key anymore... I'm staying very far from the satin leather, I already find the nappa very delicate. 😅

Puzzle, the classic version, is AMAZING, but surprisingly small. I mean I've got the medium and it's what I would call small, I saw a small in boutique and it's definitely smaller. So if you have a chance, check them out in store. But really, I detested puzzle for all those years and then last year it just clicked. I never looked back, and I usually get bored with bags quickly 😂
why do you call the brand low-way-way?
The pronunciation of Loewe is hard for me as a Dutchie, I can't really hear how it should be pronounced if that makes sense.
