Spanish Blue!
This what you call “HIGH VIBRATIONAL FREQUENCY”
I was only 7 when my Mom would play this in our house it would enhance my playtime and increase my imagination. This to me sounds like metaphysical jazz, back then she was playing from a different dimension
What a beautiful memory.
Don’t doubt if she was consciously our unconsciously
That's a good mom !
Thank you bro. I knew my Mom was different and special . Me and my sister have the exact same birthday 13yrs apart Oct 21.
love this
I can't believe I just discovered just about 20 mn ago... This is what I call CREATIVITY. You don't hear this type of masterpiece everyday...
I feel you! I just discovered it too! A WOW in my book.
No more 24/7 jazz stations. Young people would love it too. So we have to share this. I remember hearing this a long time ago on radio. But couldn't always hear who the artist was. Thanks, UTUBE!
Sure as shit don’t hear anything in the same universe as this anymore 😢
Join the club been listening since 72 Laos...Vietnam war...digest this stuff slowly...it's tasty
And don’t u forget it 🔥
I don’t know why UA-cam is recommending to me so many old albums but I like this one. Thank you for keeping the music of the past alive 🙏
Whoever listens to Alice Coltrane, I'm pretty sure that they understood the meaning of happiness.
i came across this masterpiece in a mushroom trip this week
This music was designed, built, and performed specifically to enhance your journey here.
whatever world she creates I want to live in it
I have no words. 4 days before 30 y.o I discover this and now can die a happy man wooooooooooow what a gem
it makes me so proud to see so many young ears jamming this! that is true Transcendentalism !!
Age is to a large degree relative, and the substance of time is misrepresented by a world of illusions. Yet here were are, experiencing god in a world that no longer believes in such ideas. Or does it?

I just discovered this about 40 minutes ago and it's inspired a poem and another one is whispering in the back of my mind... possibly an art piece and the energy that comes with this has me sitting in such a calm, I am literally encompassing the phrase "Be still and listen"!
I love this album so much. I listen to it whenever I have to overcome self doubt and exceed my limits, real or imagined. Thank you Alice, John Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Paul Robeson, W.E.B. Du Bois, and other prophets...
wow Meghna, it would be an houner for me if you raised my kids if we started a family
too much running her fingers down the keyboard every track. should have tried to play melodies on atleast one of these tracks instead of constantly using glissando.
first time hearing this. this is healing in music. this is a blessing.
What an Absolutely PERFECT Compilation of Alice Coltrane's Sacred, Otherworldly Music. She was a Vessel of The Most High, I have NO Doubt! I have a lot of these recordings in their totality, but it is so wonderful to hear them compiled in such a loving way. Galaxies are spinning, and twirling in the vast Infinity, and Alice channeled this in vibration, and sound. Praise Be!
Listen to this while having a moment with God and it definitely enlightened the mood 🙏🏾
This is a masterpiece. I feel privileged to have listened to this. She sounds like mother earth behind the piano/harp.
Mmm
She is the system!!
@@MARYANNE269 Solar system.
you are not wrong by mother earth, she is a virgo - born under the god of the earth.
Damas y caballeros ella es Alice Coltrane ¡¡¡
I can't believe that human kind created war. And this music too.
Violence is easy, a masterpiece takes decades in the making
This is hitting my soul.. who's still listening during this pandemic 2020?? BLACK LIVES MATTER ✊🏿✊🏽✊🏾
I've been loving Alice for years.. What is it about her?? She so.. yet wanting to know more... ❤️❤️ Stay safe n well out there yes I'm drunk and the page keeps closing but I'm still coming back!! F f s fucking listen to Nina Simone please!! Listen to her words. Move on!! ❤️
all lives matter not only black!
This is about showing historical and sistematical violence to a specific group of people so if you can't show solidarity with them, just shut up and stay away don´t be like those men who rect over femininist consignals against femicide saying "we are killed every day too, there are violence against men too". Don´t be pathethic.
Besides cops lives definitly doesn´t matter, genocides lives definiltly doesn´t matter, military and bourgeois lives neither . Greatings from Chile
There is no any pandemic
Imagine coming onto a video of a Black American artist, in 2020, and saying "all lives matter".
FOR THOSE AT THE BACK:
All lives SHOULD matter. Every person who's ever been to a BLM demonstration believes that all lives should matter. But at the moment, white supremacy doesn't consider that Black lives matter, hence the continuous violence against, state murder and imprisonment of Black people. When Black lives matter, then we can sit back and say yes, all lives matter now. And the world will be a much better place.
Peace out and enjoy the music.
Sitting at the park by the water looking at the birds and the animals is beautiful
Say it again
sounds like a warm moms hug
🫧The music the world actually needs🪽
I love how she had her children in the album pictures, it shows they were very important to her.
She has many, many children
Alice Coltrane is a celestial goddess.
😏 What are you up to 4 yrs later 😮 No freaking way.... I was drawn to share this video with my siStar whom I just told yesterday her granddaughter is a Vega Star seed 🤗 I always like to scroll and see what other jewels have been dropped. I pray the past 4 yrs have been amazing for you fam. I'm Angelic Arcturian 😇💫💎🌈🌞
I am glad i clicked on this video
Alice Coltrane was vicious on that harp 🎵🎵🎵 Her and Dorothy Ashby are the two greatest harp players I've ever heard in my life
This is a compilation album of shortened tracks from three masterpiece albums, "Universal Consciousness", "World Galaxy", and "Lord of Lords". If you enjoy this, you will want to hear these pieces in their entirety on those albums.
friendlier Thank you💖
There is also material from "Ptah the El Daoud," "Journey in Satchidananda" and "A Monastic Trio"!
good info thx friendlier
damn am i like the inly one who knows nothing about where to find her music?
thanks
I was fortunate to be born & raised in Detroit & came of age celebrating the Motown sound & everything it symbolized. While in high school, 1968-1971, I came across a forward-thinking FM radio station out of Windsor, Canada (CJON?). Beginning at midnight, they played only pure jazz & blues (e.g., essential recordings by Alice & John Coltrane). Discovering this music back then made an immediate & profound impact on me. It has shaped my worldview & my “search for the new land” ever since. The journey continues….
Robert Joseph: The station you speak of was CJOM, 88.7 on your FM dial.
They did have quite a different music library than most stations, which is why I liked them.
This is freaking the prettiest music to exist, it scares me. Its completely voodoo transcendental music. The creator has a master plan indeed.
Her music makes want to live this wonderful life.
... why have I NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE?!?! THIS IS SO DAMN BEAUTIFUL!!! ahh, thank god I'm still a teenager so I have so much time to spread the love
Because unlike me in the seventies, you weren't listening to KJAZ radio in Los Angeles? They played it all the time.
well said. peace is every step
@@geraldsobel3470 Kjazz 88.1 fm, I really miss Helen Borgers, Bob Parloacha and now Bubba Jackson, such a loss. This is a masterpiece. Bob would have played this around 2 am in the morning with some history cliff notes. What a wonderful masterpiece. What a loss we have suffered in the Jazz community. So many are gone now. Thank you so much.
I remember Bob Parlocha; he came in on WRCJ 90.9 fm here in the Detroit area(by way of the satellite technology, transmitting him from the West Coast where he broadcasted)years ago. He was it for me; I mean there were other great DJs as well, but Bob seemed to really feed my need and desire to know more about jazz at the time that he was on the air-without him I would not have known about the artists I came to know about.
I missed him also upon finding he was no longer on the airwaves, due to his, in my personal opinion, untimely demise 12-31-23. c@@Linneydenise
After all theses years of listening to Alice Coltrane 👁️am still in awe of her greatness & John Coltrane’s pioneering transcendental musicality 🪬👁️🪬
I’m listening to this amazing record on winter solstice, such a lovely journey 🕯🕯🕯
Just a treasure. Bless you found it. Give the attention that it needs, it's worth it.
Magnifying "friendlier" comment: "This is a compilation album of shortened tracks from three masterpiece albums, "Universal Consciousness", "World Galaxy", and "Lord of Lords". If you enjoy this, you will want to hear these pieces in their entirety on those albums."
This is the sound of healing.
This was in my recommendations and now I cant. not.! turn it off. UA-cam gets my kind of flow. Alice's creation confronts u with what life is all about. For me, this is truly healing, truly profound, truly universal.
28 & I'm just discovering her but everything has it's time.
FelineFokus it’s like you tube is reading my heart and mind. It’s a lil spooky but good
jennifer brown that's how the universe works it's always giving u what you need. Relax and allow
FelineFokus always 💯
her mixture of jazz and spirituality is so beautiful and inspiring. i couldn't believe that i went to a music school with a nationally recognized jazz program and never heard her name. patriarchy still holds her down. but i share her as much as i can.
I found her a few years ago.. I still want to know more.. Listening to a lot of Nina Simone lately brought me hear again xx love to all ♥️
Just discovering this album…it feels like home. Heavenly
this is literally the best thing i've ever heard
im in tears listening to this.
Same
John and Alice Coltrane!
Much Appreciated!!
All of her music, to me, depicts what it feels, looks and sounds like to be black in this world; beautiful, yet stricken with sorrow and grief all at once.
John Coltrane,Alice Coltrane, and Pharoah Sanders was all the music my mother listened to when I was coming up as a young man.. and I was right there..these were Angels in human form playing for the Universe... FluteMaster...
You must be black. Me too. WPFW.org, when you want to hear the good stuff that is wholly unapologetic.
beautiful comment

do u make. music.. if so.. would be grear to hear it.. given ur influences
Your were fortunate to have great music playing around you as a child. I swear it makes all the difference.
Born in the U.S with South Asian ancestry. Big fan of Jazz and Indian Classical and this hit the spot.
AMAZING HOW GREAT BLACK COUPLES CAN BE!!!
nothing soothes my soul like listening to alice. Its become a sunday ritual of mine.
Still listening to this a year later
Today is the 16th anniversary of the last day Alice was with us here on earth and it's the first time I've heard this album and I'm blown away 😭 def going to put this album in my playlist for when I'm tripping 😅🤙
🤩
She was a very special soul.
My God Woman....super talented.
Blue Nile is a subtle boat ride into the smoke rings on my mind. I appreciate that Alice Coltrane lived a life which can inspire the young ones. Do not be afraid to take river downstream. Tis only to deaths other kingdom.
I listen and cry every time
They’re ‘level or caliber’ of spiritual consciousness! 🙌🏿
I was raised on jazz! its truly in my life through and through. Alice is so free and expressive it inspires me to be creative and keeps my thoughts on track!
wow ...it's seems to me i know for all my life, far and far away... ancestral music, beautiful
Andromeda's Suffering is pure fucking epic magic. What a masterpiece of an album!
What a masterpiece . I'm glad I found this today
One few that I can listen to over and over.
I've just discovered this, and i am, completely, drastically, utterly, o v e r b l o w n.
My god, what a beauty.
Galaxy around Olodumare is my favorite so far. So majestic and graceful and proud! Absolutely love it.
It's the melody over and over
I love this sound with all my soul, peace and love for everybody, we are in difficult times but love will always defeat fear and death. Take care and be safe. Thanks Alice, you were iluminated by the goddess of music.
Only difficult times for those who comply to the nonsense. Create the world we want instead of dwelling on the one we don't want. ~ Namaste
One of my favorite musicians of all time.
Ms. Alice Coltrane is a genius! A brilliant album. I really feel like it's about the beautiful chaos that exist in one Black woman's mind. As a Black woman myself I can relate.
This could have been a white man's album... I don't know why you wanna fuck with music, and divide us.

Just listened I’m in love .
I loved Alice Coltrane thank you, she transcended her own being ❤
Listen to the beginning of the group Heat Waves song Boogie Nights. It has a very very similar introduction as the first song on this album compilation. It’s all about the stringed instrumental.🎶🎶🎶🎶✨
swirling piano on first track, amazing
Alice..... thank you. love
I used to listen to this all the time, glad it cae back around
Alice came from a faraway star. No doubts.
If there is a heaven, this must be what the harps sound like.
Pure Heaven.....thank you God I have ears to hear
Oh wow. This is a treasure.
Como se fosse a primeira vez. Ouvir Alice que é Atemporal.
🇧🇷
Perfect just after my morning meditation ..What a goddess !
I just fell in love seriously 😊
Thank you, thank you, thank you, the love of Alice is palpable in her music, every strum or plug of a string is a kind a beautiful gesture. Thank you
So I missed this wonderful compilation. Thank God I found it here after 45 years! I can listen to this spiritual music again and again. Forever!
Damn I love this lady, what a soul, and a musician!
SERIOUSLY OUT OF THIS WORLD
This is healing music in it's purist form... 💚
This is remarkably beautiful! Music for the soul.
So grateful that I’ve stumbled upon this 🥺
I thought I knew about jazz music but this just has made me look for other amazing peace of art
I went to Andre 3000 new music and this was recommended. UA-cam is the best social media app despite the scammer Ads and obvious censorship of "unapproved thoughts"
This is something special. Extraordinary album.
Where have I been that I didn't know this music? A M A Z I N G !!
Purely astonishing
Just the first few seconds in and I'm in paradise...
Absolutely beautiful.
Ron Carter is unmistakable. I never heard the harp played like this. Alice is a genius
This has become one of my fave albums now.
Even the scratches are cathartic.
Beautifully said.
Wanna hear some cool harp playing? Check out the following two songs:
Joanna Newsom - Sawdust & Diamonds
Mikaela Davis - Never Lose
I’m so glad I found this
Why didn't my parents tell me about this incredible album? I was born in 1979 and I am just now hearing about this. I am about to call my parents and raise hell. This is an incredible masterpiece.
I was born in '57 and only discovered it latterly! am kicking myself that she remained hidden to so many of us, no doubt because she was female. you never heard the end of it about John who turned out to have quite some scoundrel ways. that is so disappointing in itself, but learning how they were truly musical partners, yet she goes unnoted, grrrrrr. just more patriarchal fuckery.
She was one of those rare ones she was on a higher plane, how could you not hear it n her Music, they say eyes are the windows to the soul I agree I also agree that the music one share's is the window to their spirit
Cool. Listening to her amazing organ work on Armageddon reminds me of Bach.
One of my favourite albums of all time. It's also encoded in quadraphonic for 4.0 channel surround sound, which will play pretty well through Dolby ProLogic II. Highly recommend the expanded listening experience with this one.
Long live Mr. Louis Vincent Holmes. Thank you for introducing me to Alice Coltrane. RIP
Would love to sit near the Ocean and listen to this....not like a resort beach but ...somewhere desolate. With a glass of wine in my hand and my eyes toward the stars. Simply beautiful. First time hearing this.
Sign me up!!!
I completely agree. Preferably here in Brazil. It's a journey to anywhere these songs.
Come and visit Portugal. But not Lisbon or Algarve. Try Nazare and the surronding beaches you'll love the end of the summer ! :)
Oh i feel u! And smoke a good blunt.Btw is that john coltrane daughter or wife?
@@hananahmed7088 Yes, her husband was John Coltrane and her grand-nephew is Flying Lotus. After falling down the Alice Coltrane rabbit hole, it's worth listening to everything from those two if you haven't already.
This is wild and so cosmic. Beautiful, thanks for sharing - I would otherwise never have found it. What amazing sound. This is majestic in its true sense, not like tawdry royalties but in true majestic fashion, what a queen.
Personally i‘d say that this is her best album, when i listened to it while i was driving, it somehow brought me to another dimension as if i was high (i wasn’t high that moment). This album is the greatest.
Be careful, driving under the influence of alice is really dangerous!
I learned of Alice Coltrane through her husband and I'm so glad I found her!
absolute masterpiece! how could anyone drop a dislike?
