Your farm looks so beautiful with the snow. I’ll be interested to see where you place the high tunnels and what you plant in them.
Thank you for our Sunday visit.
It must have underground electric. They say that you lose two zone levels keeping plants in pots. Here in minnesota we have zero snow with warm weather as far out as I can go. I've never seen a winter like this. You have such wonderful possibilities, I like your thought of the tunnel on the hill. But you will need water and electric obviously.
Awe that shot your hubby goes back for!
So beautiful in the snow. Can’t wait to see that shot with flowers this year!
Yes! It’s SO scenic there I just love it!
The farm is gorgeous in the snow! Excited to see what you all get up to next.
Wow, 3000 sq feet tunnel of nothing but flowers! Looking forward to see this project!
Right?! I can't wait to see how this shapes up!
When I overwintered pots in my garage, I used ice cubes to water the pots. It was easier to control the water each pot got and since temps fluctuate, the ice melted gradually and watered the plants nicely. Of course, my garage never got colder than 30 degrees in a central Indiana winter. But it worked. And your snowy farm looks pretty.
Big plans, Shelley. Can’t wait to see it! Love the red barn in the snow. Classic!
Can’t wait to see the tunnel. Dream big!!! 😊
Yes!!
Sorry Shelly, I completely agree with your hubby--the barn is too pretty to have a high tunnel distract from its beauty. Best to place all high tunnels as far away as possible.
That's exciting!
You know you guys could use the snow for your flowers in your plants in your barn
Thank you! Yes that could’ve worked!
lol I love how he says that’s too long who wants something this big and Shelly says I love it! Hehe this is me and my boyfriend too! We gals have big dreams you men have to help us achieve them that’s why we love you! 😘
Exactly!! haha!
Oh, and too late now, but throw some snow on those pots.
That would be a great idea for her!
Great idea! I wish the snow would stay! We get a few inches and it’s gone within a day or two because of 40°s and 50°s temps. Very mild winter for us so far, def not the NY I’m used to!
@@GuidingGreenThumbs ..yes, I’m in Michigan…been a weird winter.
❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing!! 😅😅
So exciting to see what this season brings!! I'm planting the CMT Lily seeds (indoors) you sent me last fall!! Love your garden ❤
Awesome!!
Have you considered a lean-to style greenhouse on the back of the barn?
I would love that except we drive back there for deliveries… (compost and mulch) but maybe once the farm is settled and and we have a tractor we could revisit this!
Ok I have had tragedies recently so have not kept up should you not have electricity and running water hooked up first it’s like the cart before the horse?
We had the well serviced and a new water tank put in last year. We do have water The new electric was dug underground and the electrical box is ready for install In April when the contractors are back.
I’m sorry you’re experienced tragedy recently. I hope all is ok ❤️
how do you like your Toyota SUv ?
I’ve had it for 8 years now and I love it! The most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned and it’s still going. It’s a 2013 with 162k miles so far!
Combien de serres pour quelle. Plantes merci
The greenhouse would be for some vegetable plants for the first few years.
Why so long? Go 60 x 40…oh, and you don’t wanna drain the wetlands area…..js
We wouldn’t ever drain the wetlands, all the water and drainage runs to the wetlands 😊. We are trying to accommodate the biggest one. All the farmers and tours we’ve been on have said to get the biggest because they are like closets…. You always fill them and wish they were bigger. We were approved for a grant to cover the kit so just hoping to get the most value out of that opportunity. We’re still in the planning phase though. Things could change.
@@GuidingGreenThumbs ..good to know! I envy you so much! And happy for you!
Your rude to each other.😊
We are sarcastic... we get each other... 13 Years and counting! 🙂
