We had the old Gyro with the conveyor belt metal growzers on bogie wheels. Changing teeth was horrible removing the circlips and knocking out the pins. I would hard face weld the old teeth and they seemed to last longer. Ours had a 5.9 Cummins. It was around a 2001.
Impressive!!! I've ALWAYS been a big fan of GYRO-TRAK! First time I ran one of their heads was on a JCB tele-boom and they only have about 75HP their head made a believer out of me.
The nice part of the Stage 5 engine is EGR is removed so helps with those cooling numbers. Dirtied up the engine and cleaning it up on the backside with the aftertreatment. It does bring back DPF but able to push more HP and torque out of the engine. Everything is a give and take. Pretty good looking install and serviceability at a glance.
That thing is a beast! PrimeTec is no slouch but damn. Coulda used one today. Realistically the 12 would have been ideal. Don't know why it's such a satisfying thing to watch but it is.
Where I live, it would take about 20 years for that thing to pay for itself. Not enough flat ground to justify anything of the sort. Even a mulcher head on a skid steer is a stretch. It's mostly hand work where I am
My buddy owns a mulching and clearing business in the Southeast and added a Gyro Track to his fleet and had nothing but electrical and undercarriage problems from the day he bought it! Once the warranty ran out... she mysteriously caught fire!
Sam I had a opportunity about a month ago to see a gyro-tech head run on a 333G deere down in south Georgia. I will say they make a pretty good grinding unit. Thanks for the videos and the time you invest in them.
I'm thinking of buying a dedicated forestry mulching machine. I do alot of mulching now. I am currently working on a project that is 21 acres that's so thick you can't walk through and also mulching some wet land areas we are basically talking out every tree 7in to 6in diameter and down on the entire 21 acres that they're going to be adding a new phase of a housing development. Wish I could share some pictures to show on here but it cannot post pictures
It is nice how the display changes to the back up camera every time you go in reverse ! So you and V- belt are trying to keep California’s Forest Maintenance Done all by yourself one acre at the time ?
I think a lot of people a freaking out since the Menciino National forest just about burnt all the way down last year. ome of these folks are near enough to have one of those wake up moments.....
A guy at work had an oopsie with a larger one. I sent you a message with some pics on Instagram but I’m not sure if you got it. But gyro didn’t put a large enough winch on that machine. Only a 15k winch on a 36k machine. Thanks gyro 🤷♂️
It would be nice to have a gyro track there it's thick Bay bushes pine oaks gum trees most of your wetland hardwoods. So I'm looking for something that's going to be affordable but also give me the best production cost for my money
Buddy has two Gyrotrac's and the only reason he still has them is because he can't get rid of them nobody else wants them. For $300,000 they better have stepped up their game a lot.
@@VBELTandSON $2500 an acre in Ocala, Fl is the amount I charge includes fuel seems on the low side onsidering wear and tear of machine etc.... Thanks.
hey Sam do you know if they use the QSB4.5l cummins in those type of machines? I have a donated QSB4.5 up at Tech and well i believe its a QSB judging off of pictures. but nobody knew what it came out of and the data plate is gone. but after looking into it further it had a ton of mud up on top on top of the bell housing and then found loads of really fine saw dust coming out of the intake... lol figured youd be the guy to ask. just dawned on me thats why it wouldve been packed with saw dust...
my bad man shouldve waited until the end but in the meantime i looked up gyrotrac and found they did use them. i forgot to mention that it had the shipping tag still on it and it came from south carolina.
Can you do a video or shoot me a pic of your dually loaded on your 20k bumper pull diamond c please? I have a 20’ of a different brand, and I’m looking to upgrade quite possibly to a diamond c, and I’m curious how a 4 door dually fits with the drive over fenders. And the stand up ramps. Thanks in advance!
@@VBELTandSON I saw the mic after I commented. Lol. That actually is a good idea. I hate having to take a hand off the controls especially halfway through a cut
Gyrotrac goes on a marketing road trip putting their product in the hands of the end user...well done💪🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

In a dream world where you could make your own machine, that weight class with another 100 hp, maybe even 200 hp would be a potent combination.
The old nodwell tracks never plug up and stress out a final drive and ride like a dream . GT25xp is by far the best mulched for the money

Sounds about right:/
Great machine..it seems it does the work quick and with high productivity

You should try a Rayco. They’re made here in Wooster, Ohio

Go Sam go👍
i love this machine compared to the skeed steer
Nice equipment 👌
I can see this help you out on the job 300,000 is a lot of money you and your dad have a lot to talk about. Say safe
300k for that for half the price you could have a 299d cat with mulched attachment and it wouldn’t be much slower plus can use other attachments
This thing will smoke 3 skid steers. Hah
Great, it might keep up to a Fecon machine of the same HP for once.
Maybe but still might not keep up with a primetech with less hp
Plz discuss rates for forestry, per acre etc for small business
To personal for me. Sorry

I need to test it on the farm for a week LOL kick butt machine
V-Belt could throw his chainsaw away. That is a mean machine. Take it to an Antifa protest. LOL
What’s the carrying capacity difference between the diamond c and Texas pride cuz one has 12ks the other is 15k was jw
Can you add a small cutting head to your excavator? You could cut and feed the chipper. One man operation.
They do have some grinding heads for the Xs
wow
If you need a extra operator that doesn't know how to run that mulcher 👍 I'm your guy lol
First wooo he’ll ya buddy
Looks like the rocking/bucking would be absolutely horrible to ride all day?
Yeah it wasn’t the smoothest

Thought when he bought it they loaded up a dually on it. At the trailer store when he bought it
@@tracechambers3078 I think it was just a single wheel, and I don’t think they stood the ramps up
What kind of helmet and Bluetooth system are you using
Do y’all burn pine out there for firewood?
Hummmm got me thinkin
300k and it still bogs
Did you know that you could buy a bobcat empiment it’s call forestry mulcher
What?
But you have to have the kit
Search up Bobcat forestry mulched if you can
I’m not sure what you want me to look up. A bobcat?
And write forestry mulcher
What’s your take on cmi mulchers? Older ones
Never ram one but they seem legit
Honestly how does it compare to the primetech175
I like 175 more. It’s a better built machine with more thought into it.
Thanks for the info, great channel for knowledge!keep it up
Should get one with 400 horsepower work alot better
What one do you own?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I commented on this video
Can the dodge 5500 haul it
Yeah no problem. Would be one of the lighter rigs i haul
I seen it on a big rig an I was wondering bro great job keep the videos coming stay safe
Goof ball hauled it on a tractor trailer.
Third the turd. Hehe.
Why you wearing your helmet inside the mulcher?
Communication with guys on the ground.
