This thing has been kickin' around as long as I have, I bet it's in better shape too! 😂 Honda built these ATC's pretty rugged and they will be around for a lot longer if people who own them just show them a little love.

Im struggling with the Same issue on an old BW350 I picked up for cheap. Whole bike sat outside for decades, carb was off and header was broken, so the valves and ports have some water troubles. Have tried over and over to get it unlocked but it just wont budge. Just gonna break her down and beat it free with a piece of wood. Love the hoard, Harvey! and PS I have the same 81 185s but I think mines got a faulty CDI, sometimes runs strong and other times wont run right at all.
Hey DOn Johnson!!! I was lucky, it was a partial seize, if one is rock solid seized, U R right, the only way to loosen it up is a hammer and a block of hard wood! The old Honda ATCs had weak stator coils and CDIs.... The China quad CDI boxes plug right in and it will run with the timing a little advanced.... For $8 U can give it a try.... Hey Harvey, you know it makes great videos when you work on your Honda ! I have seen on other of your videos that you have pallet rack materials ( aka the orange steel ). With the power of your tractor and the rack put together you could probably go three high and how ever long you have it , then you could tarp it nice and tight and have great storage. Have you thought about putting the car port in front of the garage or you called it your glorified shed ? Just a thought. Before we moved I had 4 of the pallet racks with 3 high of my three wheelers , motorcycles or what ever my neighbor could put up on them. just an Idea

That left footpeg got smacked pretty hard to bend it back like that. It may be time to make the rounds and check the rest of the hoard for stuck engines. Glad you got that one unstuck easy enough.

Hi Harvey Love your videos iv been watching them for a few years now. I REALLY need some advice from you. Today I pick up a 1978 Honda xl250s it has a seemingly stuck engine it wont kick over and there's no oil in the engine LOL would you recommend this same method for dirt bikes as well for unsticking the engine????? PLEASE LET ME KNOW thank you sir.
Lucky with that carb tho. Must have been rebuilt before you put it away. It is in very good shape. Not often here they still have the little rubber bits like on the cam chain tensioner and chain guard
Hey Ashley!!! U have a good eye to notice that the engine still has the cap over the timing chain adjuster, I think this is a relatively low mileage machine for its 37years old.... Thanks for U thoughts, observations, watching, and commenting!!!
My 1983 Honda atc 185s will start and run for a little bit, (like 15-20 minutes) but then it does off.. I put a new carb on and tuned it. Im thinking it's the ignition coil?
This gives me hope that I can get my 200s running right now it has like a caring stop at the top end turn so right at fire & I can break it free to turn another revolution but it does the stop again I can’t seem to figure out what it is that’s causing it? I am going to try to free it up completely any suggestions

Yeah thats a ATC200 tank, the 185S has the small chrome cap like the 110's and 90's
