      Bit late but... you cannot seem to get the S12 Plus in the UK. So the UK get the Dyson Soft Roller (Absolute) and the US get the S12 Soft Roller (Plus). Totally dumb how these companies sell these! Seems like they are totally in collusion right :-/

    Both units could use some upgrades really. The old school trigger mechanics for giving both of these units power is, well, very outdated and cumbersome. This should be a soft-touch feature built into the control panel. On=on, Off=off, what a concept! Also, when it comes to these stick style vacuums, it's more about head performance over suction. Hardwood floors need a good soft roller, carpets need a good hard roller that resists pet hair tangling. Some other companies like Shark are getting these things right, now they just need to make a premium model like these 2 units. Once you try Shark's DuoClean heads, you'll never go back to these units in which you have to switch heads when going from carpet to hardwood. I guess that's not an issue if you have all hardwood or all carpet floors. But if you have a mix of them, I'd personally skip past both of these units. Of the 2 here, Tineco for the win, for sure.

    I had both of them and decided in the end for the dyson - just because of more power for carpets with pet hair on it also because emtying the dust bin is easier, no need for dirty hands afterwards. Needed to pull out the stucked hair on the filter of Tineco - was annoying for me.

    Good comparison.
    Here in Australia, the Tineco retails for 1099 AUD while the Dyson v11 Complete pro retails for 1050 AUD.. also comes with the soft roller head and 8 other accessories. Pretty much everything they offer.
    Given Dyson's insanely good support here in Australia, the Tineco just doesn't have enough to sway customers their way,
    Also I have the V11 and I've used the LG at my neighbours, and that point and shoot bin mechanism is a godsend.
    Conventional stick vacuums like the LG, Tineco etc also have a "flipper" which keeps the dirt from coming back out and it can be a PITA to keep that mechanism clean after heavy use in my experience.
    On the other hand I find myself emtpying the Dyson even when I don't have to .. it's just so much fun 🤣

    The Dyson has far superior filtration and dust separation using multiple cyclones. According to what I have heard from channel Beko1987, who also has a Pure one S12, the filter in the bin gets dusty and clogged very much quicker then his V11, and this is what I would expect, simply put, the Pure one uses crude and basic dust separation so much more ends up in the filter, which is why they supply a filter cleaning tool, as you will need it, and need it a lot, as you clean one filter, the machine sucks the dust in and straight back onto the clean one.
    It also depends on price, if when this is launched in the UK, it is priced higher than £400, I personally would not feel it was worth the money, due to the more basic filtration and the more basic floorhead that does not have the large debris gates the Dyson has.
    The Tineco I feel looks more like a clone of the Dyson V8 style of cordless vacuum, and if you can handle having to keep cleaning that pre-motor filter,, ie, more maintenance on the Tineco, if it sells for a sub £400 price point, it may be worth a go, but if as I suspect it will be in excess of £400, possibly over £500, when it comes to the UK, I would go for the Dyson V11, as Dyson are the market leaders in cordless vacuum technology, and their filtration and V11 digital motor technology is light years ahead of that on the Tineco.

    • @Detroitblue
      @Detroitblue 5 років тому +5

      Your comment caught my attention so lets get into it. I watched both of Beko1987 video and it helped me in making my buying choice but he did not say anything to suggest dislike for the filter system as you suggest. You said " Tineco has a crude and basic dust separation so much more ends up in the filter." Consequently the Tineco gets clogged much quicker then theV11. Humm. The very reason for the filter is to catch the dust. And therefore you want the dust to end up in the filter not the air. The Tinco has a intake and an exhaust filter. This means double filtration and that is better. And as evident in Beko1987's tests the exhaust filter of the Tineco seldom gets dirty which means your air is staying clean as well. So in real world practical usage how much of a negative is it to have a filter that catches all the dust? So in order not to slow you down they provide a filter swap and a automatic cleaner humm? Is that cruder or more advanced? I don't see this as a problem. They both have hepa filters so that is the industry standard for high quality air filtration. I just don't see what the fuss is about. All I want to do is clean my messes well. Now I will admit that getting my hand dirty dumping the filter is a little more crude then the auto dump on dyson but it is no biggie.

    • @AverageReviewsYT
      @AverageReviewsYT 5 років тому +1

      @@Detroitblue with my comment. I'm referring to sucking dirt off one filter directly to another one.. lol.. if it's to fine for the cyclone what makes u think it isn't to fine the 2nd time around..

      @Detroitblue 5 років тому +1

      @@AverageReviewsYT I can agree that there is something counter intuitive about that process of using a filter to clean the filter however for the most part you are dumping the big stuff. So I guess that is why it is not totally dumb.

    I have the Dyson V11 and just ordered the Tineco S12 Plus yesterday. The V11 has alot going for it performance-wise, but I'm not sold on it. I noticed 2 days in that the connection between the main unit and the wand is a little flimsy. It doesn't seat fully which allows the wand to move slightly. This makes the vac feel cheap to me ($500 kindofcheap). Also I think it's terrible that the floor head does not have LED lights. There are moments when it does not pick up simple pieces of debris as well even in turbo boost mode. I am hoping the tineco will give me all the features I'm looking for along with tight, secure connections between the head and attachments.

    After 3 months of Tinco ownership and very frequent use I have drawn some conclusions to answers I could not have known before I made the investment. And I think this would also apply to the Dyson Is it a good vacuum and is it worth all that money? I would say no not really. It very satisfactory however I would not claim it is a good vacuum when compared to the performance of an old plug in vacuum which really suck and pick up lots of stuff. That might be said about every power tool. However where these vacuums shine is in their usefulness as a quick grab and go. Maybe that is what you are also paying for. It is for sure my goto Vacuum over my ole Hoover. So they do work well and I do like my Tinco but it struggles with a lot of debris I encounter. It simply does not roll over and consume many things my hoover can. I am also noticing a tendency for it to spill its cookies back on the floor after I have vacuumed a collection of debris. Meaning when I lift the head off the floor it will deposit a small pile of dust that did not make it up into the bin. So in the end I would not say they are worth $500 bucks. $500 is more expensive then every tool I own thus far. I would say they are really worth about $180,00. Knowing what I know now I think I would just get that Ryobi stick vac for the convenience of portability and battery life and I would be as content at that price point of this form factor. To be clear, I do Iike the vacuum but they are way overpriced for the performance.

    If you look at over all customer satisfaction the Dyson actually does not rate well. The same goes for reliability..it actually rates poorly in that regard. If you run the Dyson in actual use the battery does not even come close to this posted comparison. Am I a Dyson hater? No far from it I just want real world comparisons. I would give Dyson a thumbs up but I can not do to the poor reliability issues. Do not take my word for it. Go to consumer reports and get all the facts. Just so you know, the extra money you over pay for Dyson products is do to their
    very expensive advertising on T.V. the internet and print media.

  • @Detroitblue
    @Detroitblue 5 років тому +3

    The Tineco is a much better value. Whatever slight edge the Dyson has with maneuverability and suction power is lost because Tineco can do everything the Dyson can do equally as well. However Tineco trumps Dyson with their big box of accessories which comes standard. . I count 10 supplied with my S12 plus and it sells at the same price as the Dyson V11. The kiiler blow is delivered with the fact Tineco gives you swappable batteries which will permit you to vacuum indefinitely. What difference does it make that the one Dyson battery last longer then one Tineco battery?. Tineco made it possible to swap batteries . In reality you can purchase as many batteries as you desire and work professionally with this baby. When the Dyson dies you are dead in the water. And Tineco has an app with wifi connectivity to your phone . Lets be real is Dyson paying you to support their machine? To me the choice is clearly in favor of the Tineco. News Flash! Consumer Reports has just down graded Dyson's best in class score because of numerous reports of mechanical failures after the 5 years of usage. They are being reported to breaking down excessively after 5 years. Now they have fallen below the Shark unit which shows less problems in the long haul. Go Figure.

      My apology if I offended you for asking are you paid by Dyson. Allow me to show my appreciation for taking your time and energy to even post your review it is very helpful. In this review you tend to be slanted toward Dyson for illogical reasons in my opinion. It is your right to like what you like but you did not support it with good reasoning. Clearly Tineco offers a much better value overall. Minute points like Dyson runs better on low power? I almost never am content to run on low power. I ramp up to high and get it done with power. Only reason to run low power is to conserve battery life but with swappable batteries that concern is eliminated. A mainstay of most portable devices is the ability to swap out the batteries. Just take a stroll through your local home depot. It sucks that cell phones have stopped making the batteries swappable. In addition the Tinco offers nearly a dozen useful attachments for the same price or lessor then the Dyson costs. Tineco features innovations that are cutting edge over Dyson like the trigger lock. The pre-filter cleaner. The dust sensor. Quieter operation. App control. Slider Control. Led headlights. Extra filter. What smart consumer or reviewer says this one does everything just as well and gives more value at a cheaper price but I just would prefer to pay a little more and get that other one without a logical justification? On the cleaning side. Cheerios for example If I spilled Cheerios I would not choose to run it through my roller head I would use a hollow straight suction attachment.
