- What a great day!
We had a fantastic time on the "west side garage crawl" today. I was amazed at how many bikes came over from the club meeting. It sounds like it was a very enjoyable club meeting with over 15 bikes at the horse brass pub. The guys that arrived at my place for an impromptu bike show where we hung out for a while before heading over to Ron's and then Allan's afterwards to look at their bikes and projects

I wanted to let you know that my neighbors are really cool with the bikes in the cul-de-sac. One neighbor came out and took photos of this event. Another couple brought their kids out to show them. They hadn’t event heard the bikes arrive and were surprised by the display. I do personally thank my neighbors for their understanding and patience whenever I see them and they are all perfectly fine with the bikes. These visits are pretty infrequent and while most working neighbors are at work for the day. This was certainly a bigger event, but all the guys were really respectful and didn’t make a lot of noise either riding up the street or while hanging out. I think most of my neighbors find it very curious to see a bunch of old bikes in the neighborhood. It’s a nice change from the lawnmowers and leaf blowers ;)
What a magic turnout of motorcycling majesty. Lump to the throat, tear to the eye. Fantastic stuff. GREEN with envy!!!
Ron came to the cul-de-sac in STYLE. Not only does he have the cool Harleys, but a very cool ski boat. The Panhead was stunning..... Well done, Mike, thanks for inviting us.

@@TheMightyGarage Thanks for the reply, Mike. Barber was fantastic this year, the weather could not have been more perfect..... except for the first and last nights when the temperature fell to 42F. It was kind of a sudden change for us natives. We had great participation at our spots, the usual suspects from Louisiana were there (to deliver boudin) and this year they brought some authentic cajuns with them..... you are going to really enjoy meeting them. My opinion of BVMF 2022 may be a little biased, but you can get an independent review from Michael (who won his trials event, in case you haven't heard).
Isn't it great when everything comes together and the motorcycling gods smile while looking down upon you.
Wow....Brings me back to the 70's when I was a teenager and the Britt bikes I had and miss...67' Triumph Daytona 500, 71' Norton 850 Commando, 65' BSA 650 Lightning and other treasures....What a great video....Thanks!

Hi Mike, the cul-de-sac videos, for my taste, are the crème de la crème of your fantastic channel. On the ocasions your mates go to visit you we, your audience, may apreciate the bikes in detail, but also, listen to the stories of the steeds and their knights. Stories of passion.
Despite the fact that, for obvious reasons, on this video such details and stories were impossible to be depicted, as a celebration of everything that is represented by cul-de-sac meetings and the best spirit of motorcycling, this video is perfect!
That being said, if I could, I would hit the "like" button several times.
You guys seem to be true gentlemen.

Love how all of the Commandos look different. I put 100 mile on my ‘74 Commando yesterday. She ran great and I arrived home without her kick start lever! At least it happened on the return leg! ❤

When I was stationed at NAS North Island 1975-78, my roommate had a 73 Norton Commando. He let my drive it to my work on Base. Because of him , I bought a 78 Yamaha XS650 Special. I really like seeing those vintage motorcycles. I currently ride a 1983 FXWG. It went to Forest Grove, many times from NAS Whidbey Island.

I really wish you were my next door neighbor, Mike. I can't imagine stepping outside to get the morning paper and seeing this gathering of beautiful machines. Let me know if any houses on the cul-de-sac come up for sale. It would be a 3000+ mile move for me, but totally worth it.
"The Cul-de-Cac Classic Cycle Show" -- great bikes! Love the old Harley's, and always love that BMW R100! (edit after two hours) As I watched this video of everyone riding and sat in my chair by the window looking at a perfect Fall afternoon, I asked myself, "What's wrong with this picture?" -- so off for a loop around the mountain on my BMW I went!

I always have a secret fear, when turning into events such as this, that I am going to hit some chat, grab some brake or put a foot wrong and bust my but in front of everyone.

@@TheMightyGarage I was slowly inching my way across the grass in my front yard on my Norton 750. It was the only way to the garage. I grabbed a handful of brake (as you do) and in an instant I was down and looking at the grass close up through my helmet visor. The first thing I did was pop up and se if anyone saw me!
