    He should give it to a charity that supports vulnerable children (morally). Legally, I doubt that the BBC will get the money back.

    Not sure how you can legally ask him or why he would, they paid him his contractually signed salary and at the time they didn't ask.
    As for him he's already hated by everyone including family the only thing he has left is money, if I was him I'd go live on a remote island.

    His pension at 200k a year for 26 years at lets say 6% return average (likely to much much higher) is a pension pot of around £12m. The average market rate of return is actually around 9% so his pension pot is likely to be worth around £19.8m which a hell of a lot of money.

    He should be jailed the pervert. And answer to your question is Yes he should repay the salary he got while suspended. Or to save any problems later if he or others are found guilty from the day of suspension the company employers to hold payment until the verdict day after trial. If guilty the person loses that monies, if innocent the employer pays the person what he is entitled to.

    Speedo c should be defunded... Edwards should be in jail along with anyone else who have been found guilty of this CRIME !!
    because its sick system that let him walk free, those VICTIMS yes VICTIMS still have to live with this, unlike Edwards who will no doubtable be sitting in his den searching the net as we speak...

    Let's take a back seat, it's the tax payer who is paying for the rest of his living life.... He's loaded, and he STILL gets his pension and he getting a free house card to live his life outside of prison, all paid for by taxpayers....... The only punishment is on the actual victims.

    He, H.E. has apparently offered to work for charity free of charge ( I think that must have been advice given to him and not his conscience) How about him giving a few of his millions to what would be the millions of abused kids which have had their lives ruined because of the likes of him and those like him.

    A judge would make us pay our council tax or tv license in instalments. He would have the same. It’s not as if her needs it. He needs to be bought to his knees. He needs to be in prison and have his assets seized. The mental health stuff is rubbish. He has played on it. Two tier system in place here I am afraid

  • @cathcartlepick
    @cathcartlepick Місяць тому +1

    No he should not, and my reason behind this is that the bbc chiefs should hand back their wages,bonuses and any ill gotten gains they have earned through this discussing debacle that once again has shown its ugly head under the leadership of the bbc bosses who as far as I can see are complicit once more in mismanagement and downright incompetence in this and other matters and me for one is now withdrawing my licence 😡

    I think people need to realise that bbc will need to pay him his salary. It'd be illegal not to do so unless he wasn't employed by them. This is a police matter not a BBC matter.. That's also my views in this, otherwise we are letting bbc be the judge here.
    A person can be suspended with pay pending investigation or judgement. You can't ask for that money back after. You can ask for the payment made for one's after he was sacked.

  • @deadsoulrob
    @deadsoulrob Місяць тому

    if you were him why would or should he? its clearly alright for him to keep his salary so he has every right to keep it. Everyone can whine and moan about weither he should be in prison or not but he has been sentenced and theres nothing else to be done. time to move on.

  • @Transform108

    He def should not be handing his salary back. You are like saying anyone who breaks the law has no value to their labor. That is not what free societies should expect. Everyone has the right to contract. And if that contract does not have clauses about conduct etc, then contract terms have been met.

  • @darrencartledge6530

    Wow,another stupid talking point on this programme. When you are suspended from work you are suspended with pay,and if you are fired you don't pay the money back,and this is no different,

      Yes but this is taxpayers money. The BBC have been extremely generous in paying these extortionate inflated salaries to their presenters with our money. Surely we should have a say in this.

    • @darrencartledge6530
      @darrencartledge6530 Місяць тому

      @1Thedairy doesn't matter,he had a contract and a salary to be paid.what happens if he was found to have done nothing wrong?,months without pay?.the same applies to him and everyone else.suspended with pay,pending investigation.
