Lol when you said it’s like an over saturated market that other narcissists are looking for grade A supply. I remember once hanging out with my friend that was a narcissist and it felt like she was showing me off as a pet to her other narcissist friends like I was some kind of rare exotic animal that she trained to do tricks and praise her on command. So disturbing.
“Showing me off as a pet”. “Rare exotic animal”. I’ve never heard it put that way but yes, I get what you’re saying. For me, It felt like a compliment for a red hot second and then you’re like… wth is happening here? One narc I was close to said to me “You think everyone is nice like you, you’re so f ing naive, gawd you’re so annoying”. I’m not friends w her anymore. Maybe I am or I was naive but one thing I know for sure is narcs actually hate me even though they pretend to love me.
@@mynewlife1911 they would love you if they were capable of love. But they can’t even love themselves, so there is no love to even start with to have some to give to others. Mirroring you is the closest they come to love, and then it just turns in to envy and hate because they can’t actually feel the way you do and authentically be likable the way you are. She was trying to make you bitter like her. No, not everyone is nice. But that doesn’t mean you have to not be nice, or become fake nice just to get people to like you, like she does. She was taking a dig at your authenticity. Narcissists love having other narcissists around them because they feel content that they aren’t happy deep down either and they are just playing the game like them. It’s one of the only things that makes them feel normal. But at the same time they need real people because real people supply real energy.
after 3 years with narc, I called off engagement and had her move out. I could no longer live in that horrific CHAOS. Blocked all email accts and every possible way for her to communicate with me. This is a sick cycle that we must love ourselves enough to leave them and move forward
Hi Joe, i love your videos! Im on my healing path grom 22 years of narcisstic abuse. Your videos are big help for all of us surviors ( not victims!!! anymore!!) Thank fir your knowledge, wisdom and precious help! Greetings from Germany!
My ex told me one day that she always (financially) supported all her exes and I was the first one to support her and it would take some getting used to for her, as if it were uncomfortable. That quote bewildered me but it makes more sense now that I heard this video. It was a power thing for her. Soon after she said this to me she said I was too practical, too careful with money. This was in addition to all the other ways she devalued me. She turned whatever strength I brought to the relationship into my weakness. It was very Rovian of her.
R U kidding you believed that?? She took care of her exes money wise. That's a user and abuser. She was taken care of $$$ and chose 2 abuse in the process
Yes you explain this so process well. Thank you. They are dependent but flip the dynamic making the other person dependent on them. They have a whole life experience of manipulating others to take care of them. Its an addictive feeling - that trauma bond - praise punish reward abuse. That cycle where you strangley cant let N go.
Thanks for your videos Joe 👍🏻 very informative and are helping many. Gratitude ✨ 🙂 what a relief to be back to my inner contentment again feels great. Just me and my black cat Nanook 🐾❤️🐾
I clicked to reply to your other comment, and accidentally deleted it - so sorry!! Was gonna say, seems Nanook only wants to hang out with Scampi cause of the sister. Just my observation 😌 😏
@@joebhouse Oh strange only just saw this didn't have a notification sorry about that. Yeah probably but Scamps Sister is shy and Nanook gets excited and would probably scare her even more especially if he squeeled at her 🤣 🤣 Cats you just got to love them and all their different personalities haha ☺ ✨
That makes sense becuz after a year after the accident I blocked him for 6 months he text my other phone and needed his tab paid and then a week later totaled a car. My brother said he was a tornado and I was just so confused, but now I get it.
It took 10 years of waiting for the corner to turn but naturally the chaos continued unabated. How does one recover a sense of self-worth when it has been ripped from you on a daily basis for so long? Your insight helps to understand but the existential pain lingers. Am looking into Emmett therapy. Any experience with this?
