Unless you like the live version better there’s another version with better sound quality that was put in the 25th anniversary soundtrack. The video I listen to is by MarquisOfElmdoor.
This sounds amazing! I showed this to one of my friends who has never played Zelda ocarina of time before, and he was Absolutely astonished by the way it sounded. He said I knew video games had great music behind them, but never in his lifetime has he heard such a piece such as this one. It made me feel pretty good to show him.
I think this is the second time I comment about a video, but I need to do it... It's a so incredible version... Probably my orchestra's director uses this video to make a own version for us, I REALLY LOVE THIS VERSION, you have my like!!! :DDDDD
”Is that Urho Kekkonen?” That viola-man looks like Urho Kekkonen when you scroll down really quick and then you went back to look that 😂😂 also I noticed that “John Williams- looking man in the center of the group 😂👏🏻☺️ THis is really the best “Gerudo Walley”-cover! Thanks for making my day better!
Zelda player since the beginning. So much great music over the years, in so many forms. This is, hands down, the most visually and auditorily pleasing piece I've ever come across. And that's saying something because I've seen them all! Great song by Koji, great arrangement, great pace, highly expressive performance by seven very talented people. Favorite moment: when the cellist finger plucks at 2:04.
Just a shot in the dark if anyone knows the name of the guy violinist 2nd from left. I believe he may have also played in the front of the orchestra for Kylie’s Christmas at the Royal Albert Hall. Just like what I see and hear, so therefore just wondering🤔
Wow. The creator of this tune is amazing. It's all worldbuilding from start to finish. 0:00 - 0:24: Opening the book to reveal the world. 0:25-0:54: The music of elves[playing]. 0:54-1:08: Link is revealed(possibly on a horse). 1:09-1:21: Field/Open world 1:22-1:50: Plot/Request/Task is revealed 1:51-2:19: Hero's choice 2:20-2:33: Peril 2:34-3:10: More Peril 3:11-3:24: Hero's resolve 3:25-3:47: Final duel 3:48: It's all over... I wish i could do this with music. But alas, my epics, tales and worlds shall remain in my manga(s).
It's all based on a very narrow amount of notes too, because of the Ocarina's limited range. All the melodies in the game can be played with it the 5 notes you're given in the game.
3 years late, but I'm here to say: It's like a hero's ballad, but gerudo valley version. Full of emotion, danger, uknown situations to come and hope. Makes me wonder... what if link was adopted into the gerudo while young? This would definitely suit him as his theme
That harpist has the most badass mustache ever. Play on, sir. Play on.
That's Tarin
Malon's father From LonLon Ranch...
I had to look more closely, but you're right!
6 years later but I agree
I literally thought that was Ron Swanson. He even made a harp on the show before
I've heard a dozen different versions of Gerudo Valley and every time it's a treat for my ears.
I know how you feel

Same. Maybe they can do a side movie called gerudo valley. Before link.An orgin story
No one agrees?
Same here. Goose bump. After all these years
I love how the violin doesn't automatically have the melody for this arrangement. That's so beautiful and underrated
oops I'm a cellist
Agreed!
Oops former violist
ME TOO THO QUEEN 😂
totally agree
oops im also a cellist
I never knew a grown man with a rockin' mustache could play the harp so gracefully.
But good job everyone! Beautiful stuff.
The fellow on the far left is so bloody expressive.
I was staring at the man in the mustache playing the harp he reminds me of Talon with hair, from Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
a great musician enjoys and lives his music. thats why this is so good.
It is a testimony to the Zelda series that they could give rise to such a wonderful piece of music.

2:26 THE GUY WITH THE STACHE IS FEELING IT! 2:40

Whoa no way this ends with Ganondorf being born. What an awesome arrangement.
I think this is the second time I comment about a video, but I need to do it... It's a so incredible version... Probably my orchestra's director uses this video to make a own version for us, I REALLY LOVE THIS VERSION, you have my like!!! :DDDDD

That was BRILLIANT!

Up until 26 seconds I forget this is gerudo valley and find myself going "This is Christmas" NBC style
That harpist's stache, though...
That's tarin from lon lon ranch
@@thomassalas5191 From Koholint definitely, I mean Marin sings so why wouldn't Tarin play harp?
Awesome! ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing
Love it!
LOVE IT
the middle guy is similar to Steve Jobs but older!
why? because I'm saying the right fucking thing?
No, because you're saying an opinion but using the word "is" instead of "seems"
Yes!

I'm not sure who's more into it, the guy on the harp or the guy on the cello XD.

I'm not crying .... I'm not crying ...i'm not ... cryi- Q____Q T_T *cries like a baby
Beautiful ♥
It doesn't seem to capture the essence of the original but should be considered its own piece. It is slower and carrying much more gravitas.
3 years late, but I'm here to say: It's like a hero's ballad, but gerudo valley version. Full of emotion, danger, uknown situations to come and hope. Makes me wonder... what if link was adopted into the gerudo while young? This would definitely suit him as his theme
