I am already trying to learn the full arrangement you posted before, now am able to play up for great fairy fountain, this arrangement is my favorite and you did an amazing job! I hope to someday be able to play this!
I began practicing the chorus section at 0:57 - 1:17 a month ago and I can play it at a slow speed. This song is above my level but I am confident I can learn it all before the end of the year
So well composed for piano!! A lot of people try to play gerudo valley on piano the way it was originally composed and it doesn’t sound as good because it’s meant to be played on guitar. This was MADE to be played on piano and it still fits the gerudo vibe. So grand an epic!!!
Erik, my 1-year-old son loves your videos so much I've started a playlist for him, titled "Songs for Bubbins" (his nickname). There's something about the melodies plus the animation/hand movements which are just fascinating to him. When I showed this one in particular to him, he pinched his fingers together and started tapping the screen, imitating your hands!! Maybe one day he will play like you, as well 😉 Please keep up the videos! We love your work ❤
Wow, that's really nice. Considering how early he started being interested in the piano, he might actually play it one day and be really good! I hope it. :)
you call it simple but... i’ve been playing piano for five years and am struggling to get past the third page of the sheet music... spent $11 on it on Music Notes .com so I’m not going to give up but OH MY GOD this piece is difficult
Confettischeet it is! It’s part of a series called VERSUS where Jonathan, Zebeldarebel and I all try to make the best arrangement on the same theme. Playlist linked in the description.
You will never stop surprising me! You're a legend! The interpretation of the piece and the way the arrangement was created is genius. You're so damn creative!! Like the slow begining and then the melody. And then bam! The theme comes in with a really nice bass, repeated chords with also (and of course) arpeggios. Also can we talk about the left hand and the repeated notes for a second? Like what the..??? And the end, (lmao) the Gerudo Valley theme becoming more an more powerful with this magnificent conclusion with the Main Zelda theme! I can only say yes!!!!Amazing!!! We can also talk about the choice of the orange and red colors for synthesia which can remind us of a certain cayon but that's just a little detail at this point... :p Just Bravo! :D
Craftmarne love the in depth feedback. Glad you like the color choice. That’s always something I try to make apropos for the source material. Lately I’ve been thinking about spicing up the visuals in some way. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
I... I have no words to describe this masterpiece properly. I would fucking KILL to see and hear this in a proper amphitheater. You can almost see the story behind this. A hero driven to a forbidden land to save the world from a great darkness and through it all succeeds in what he needs to do through guile and might. Bravo! Bravo! Encore!
I think this would work really well in an animated short from Ganondorf's point of view. It could start with him, the only male, made de facto king, ruling over a despairing, dying people. It could show him amassing both magical and physical power, stealing and fighting various desert beasts to earn his place as a heroic king for the Gerudo, and then the ending part where the main overworld theme comes in could be where it catches up with Ocarina of Time and we see Link about to fight Ganon. I really like when I hear a cover and I can almost visualize a story to go with it. Amazing job!
I’ve been playing the piano for 4 years now, this and the song of storms arrangement is exactly what I need to level up, and they’re absolutely beautiful.
I swear, every single one of your arrangements keeps getting better and better! I've wanted this since I heard it in your OOT medley, and now it's a reality! I love how much emotion you put into your playing, it really expresses how amazing the piano itself as an instrument is, and you mastered it. Gerudo Valley is one of my favorite zelda tracks, and you made it better. I'll look up to you for the future beyond as an idol. Amazing work!
Oh dude this brings back memories on when I used to wake up at 12 AM and just grind the spirit temple (for those of you who don't know, gerudo Valley leads to the spirit temple)

You’re the virtuoso I aim to be, especially with how well you compose your own versions of songs now. I love you so much! Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication.
I will be following this video with great interest😊 great work buddy! Love the Liszt-like bass pattern at 1:17. You know me, toccata’s are my favorite!!!
This song sounds like something at the end of a big fight in an anime where the main cast finally gets the upper hand and starts working together, talking down to the bad guy as he's getting the shit kicked out of him through the good guys using classic combos they've used throughout the show, flashbacks scattered throughout, getting put in in the slower parts. The flashbacks could be the villain doing terrible things to the cast's loved ones or fallen comrades. Or thats what I hear when I hear this song, I never played zelda as a kid, just as a teen
This song has the Ganondorf Seal of Approval™. Ah, reminds me of better times. I remember when I was a boy, I had a Hydromelon plant in my backyard. I tended to it every day since I turned... 4? Ah... me and that Hydromelon grew up together. When it was sick, I would water it constantly, and provide it with shade from a leaf from one of the palm leaves. When I was sick, I would go out there and cuddle with it till I felt better. I imagined it doing magic to make me feel better. When I became King of Hyrule, I enchanted it to never die. I wanted it to outlast me, as a symbol of my gratitude for the hard times it got me through. When I was defeated by the Hero in Ocarina of Time, I attempted to collapse my castle on him. But another part of my magic was used to enchant the Hydromelon to hide behind the throne of whoever the leader of the Gerudo was at that time, to symbolize how the Gerudo lived in Hyrule shadow. That's why you can find that Hydromelon behind Riju's throne. If I recall, some have picked it's Hydromelon and some have cut the vines. But, like my desire to rule Hyrule, it always comes back. Always...

2:08 though less power instrumentally, nostalgically or whatever you want to call it delivers a stronger blow to the feels that is my musical receptor. Way too drunk to comment on a UA-cam comment section, bit what the hell, right?
After ten seconds I had goose bumps all over my back: what an amazing arrangement!!! This should be brought to the attention of the Zelda staff!! Wonderful!!
B+ The improvisations are fantastic, but much of the spirit of the original is lost. Also, some parts should have been more aggressive. Ultimately, sounds like an expert pianist playing a piece to a game they never played.
I'm going to "borrow" a lot of what you've done here as practice for all the things I cannot do. My version of this is so hollow in comparison... Good god this arrangement though
What you do with your left hand at about 1:16 is so smooth it reminds me slightly of a drummer keeping a rhythm with unorthodox strokes, and I'm genuinely fascinated.
Lost for words n emojis but wow that arrangement had so much feeling, it told a story in itself...just pure mastery and epicness on levels unattainable by a mere mortal like me. I eternally bow down to my lord. 🔥🔥🔥🤴
literally me, i purchased the sheet music for this a MONTH ago and i still only have the first page memorized because i’m only on my fourth year of piano and do NOT have this technique or skill. i didn’t even know this key existed!! F-sharp minor?? also reading sheet music gives me a headache so i’ll definitely have to wait a few years before playing this
I love how one guy in live chat said: can’t wait to play this myself Good luck practicing buddie No for real if you practice this a lot eventually you will be able to play it and it will make you better at piano for sure.
@jebi ga It is worth it for sure piano is a really good way to release stress and also it's fun. You need to start easy and with songs you like. work your way up to harder songs and impress people with your skills. You don't have to be perfect or anything as long as you have fun
@jebi ga Of course it's still worth it. I'm 30 and started a few months ago and can already play a couple of the simpler songs that I really like (road to zanarkand + nuvole bianche) Imagine if you start now, you'll have 11 years of piano by the time you reach my age! Just be consistent with it and you'll see very rapid improvement
Imagine how long it must take to play this song good. At my current level, I'd say it would take me about a month practicing everyday to at least know what to play. Then another month or so to get accuracy. My hands would probably fall off.
why did you delete the sheets from the site? does that mean we will never get the sheets for gusty garden galaxy and all your zelda arrangements? i cant say it often enough how much i appreciate your work...

literally me, i purchased the sheet music for this a MONTH ago and i still only have the first page memorized because i’m only on my fourth year of piano and do NOT have this technique or skill. i didn’t even know this key existed!! F-sharp minor?? also reading sheet music gives me a headache so i’ll definitely have to wait a few years before playing this
Rediscovering the wonders of video game music on piano is truly a great feeling
I love how one guy in live chat said: can’t wait to play this myself
Good luck practicing buddie
No for real if you practice this a lot eventually you will be able to play it and it will make you better at piano for sure.
The Zelda music is so magical and amazing and makes the gameplay 5x better
Imagine how long it must take to play this song good. At my current level, I'd say it would take me about a month practicing everyday to at least know what to play. Then another month or so to get accuracy. My hands would probably fall off.
true
all 787 dislikes are just jealous of his piano skills thx for the vid Erik enjoyed it
Damn that 00:28 second run
i love how it has a custom intro then when it get to the actual normal intro u drop the notes real quick its tight
good work
why did you delete the sheets from the site? does that mean we will never get the sheets for gusty garden galaxy and all your zelda arrangements? i cant say it often enough how much i appreciate your work...
Takes an absolute genius to take such a simple melody from a video game and turn it into a complete fucking masterpiece. Well. Done.
My face after hearing the gerudo valley cover of yours just like my avatar
So beautiful, it sounds as if it could be a waltz. Outstanding.
HI everyone. I'm wondering what the melody at 1:56 is? It sounds really familiar. Please help me out!!
