So many great songs by the Guess Who, No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature, No Time, Undun, American Woman, Hand Me Down World, Share the Land, Rain Dance, Laughing, Bus Rider, Orly, Clap For the Wolfman, Albert Flasher, Star Baby to name a few

When I was in high school my friend and I took a road trip 4 hour drive into upstate New York. His car had to go into the shop right before we were supposed to leave so we took his grandfather 64 Mercury Montego. It had no radio only an 8-track and they were only a couple of 8-track cassettes in the car. One of which was The Guess Who. You have just heard one of the FINEST songs ever written. You should give a listen to NO TIME also by The Guess Who, which is a much more rockin' song, but definitely the STUDIO version first. I may be alone in this, but I am not someone who recommends live versions of anything first, especially to someone who never heard from a particular band before. The studio version of this song (These Eyes) is much better, with orchestration that is missing here, even though this live version is not bad. Thanks for doing this India. Their first performance of American Women was down the road from where I am. The building is still there. Burton was in the back, Randy was playing the rifts, Burton came out and sang. Lucky a person was there with a cassette recorder.
Burton Cummings has an amazing voice. I'd love to see you react to 'Break it to Them Gently' from his later solo album 'Up Close and Alone' (literally just him playing his piano live).

A very popular 🇨🇦 band 🔥🔥 Burton Cummings has such a great voice & he plays piano, flute, organ, as well he write most songs along with Randy Bachman (renowned guitarist). They played at CanaFest in my town Grand Forks, BC Aug 2022 !! Still going strong since mid 60’s !
This was written after he broke ties to his fiance .. Burton Cummings the vocalist has perfect pitch.. one of the few vocalists on the planet that can sing like this .. and just like Celine Dion he could go into a recording studio and do a song in one take .. again a rarity in the music world .. he has a beautiful voice . .. fun watching .. this song holds records for the length of time he can hold the lyric.. amazing
American Woman, These Eyes......all AM radio stuff from the 70's....I graduated HS in 1973. People today have virtually nothing like we did back then. Those of my age were SO lucky to have all THE bands producing great music. Everyone listened to AM radio....FM was just beginning as alternative music stations usually at a college.
I'm Canadian so I've listened to this music most of my life. The Guess Who have many good songs, "No sugar tonight/ New Mother Nature", "No time". Burton Cummings had a solo career, some of Burton's you'd like is "I will play a rhapsody" "Break it to them Gently".
The Guess Who should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They had numerous hits! Their most famous tune is American Woman. Other tunes include No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature, Undun, Laughing, Bus Rider, Hand Me Down World, Share the Land, No Time, Albert Flasher, Star Baby, Hang on to Your Life, and more. Great group. Burton Cummings has a great voice.
The Guess Who is one of the best bands/artists to come out of Canada. Listen to some of their other top songs like American Woman, Laughing, No Sugar Tonight and Share the Land. Great, great band.
Love this song but the album cut is better. The Guess Who- Clap For The Wolfman it's a song about Wolfman Jack who was "the" DJ back in the sixties and seventies
Thank you to my American brothers and sisters for playing a Canadian group, Love & blessings thank you so much we also look up to America keep it strong and keep it real thank you
India...this song changed my life over 30 years ago. It's one of the BEST ever written. Writing songs is not an easy thing to do and these guys wrote a lot of em! Pure talent. Look into a song called Laughing and No Sugar Tonight by this band. They're wonderful to listen to...
My wife of almost 21 years of marriage passed away in June of 2021 just a few days after the funeral this song come to my mind as I sat in the living room by myself I begin to cry and sing this song. Even now trying to make this comment I still break down. I cried every day for months and my doctor finally put me on some medicine to help with depression and it has helped some but there will never be a replacement for the person that you love so very much and hold dear to your heart. So much I want to say so much I need to say but I can only get it out when I'm by myself thinking of her.
Proud to say they're Canadian, coming out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. After some of their earlier success, one of their members, Randy Bachman, left to form his own group, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, or BTO for short. If you can, you should react to their most successful song they did, "Taking Care of Business". It's definitely worth a listen.
My hometown (Winnipeg) boys! And now, in retirement (well, sorta: he still performs occasionally), Burton Cummings is living back in Canada in my OTHER hometown (where I went to high school): Moose Jaw. I've been listenin' to 'em, and lovin' it, since their heyday back in the late '60s / early '70s. Enjoy! 🇨🇦
55 years ago I met the love of my life and she slipped away. Took a while but made peace with my past and she sits gentle on my mind. A warm place to go to in my soul. When I grow to old to dream by Vera Lynn best describes it. Peace and Love
i love love the younger generation diggin these tunes...
This song was on Shrek. Donkey was singing lol. I knew this song way before that though
You should hear the original when his voice was in top shape - his screaming riffs added so much.
Ken Otwell I’ve been playing this on my I-pod while riding my bicycle on the back roads for decades, never gets old!!
I really do like this mature version too though, what a voice.
This live version is ok but the studio version is so much better☺
Stephen Ulmer, agreed!
I agree!
You should hear Jimmy's brother sing it.
That's often the case. They can go over it several times, be precise and refine details in a studio. Live you've got one shot.
Some Guy idk if anyone would understand that reference, I’m not even sure if I’m correct lmfao

The Guess Who was a Canadian band. Just listen to American Woman by them. One of their best songs.
Which was actually about America the country~ Vietnam~ Alot of our boys were escaping the draft by going 2 Canada~
Yeah, I hate that friggin' song.

Absolutely!

I grew up on this music. Thanks for a tour down memory lane.
I remember when this came out, these eyes have cried to it many times! Glad you like this!!
INDIA...I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MUCH EMOTION BY A SISTER..YOU ROCK, LADY...AND YOUR WHOEVER IS SOOOOO LUCKY..WOW
Love this song but the album cut is better. The Guess Who- Clap For The Wolfman it's a song about Wolfman Jack who was "the" DJ back in the sixties and seventies
Girl you are so adorable to watch when you are reacting...you are a sweet person
We had some dynamite songs back in the 60's and 70's, explore them you'll be glad you did.
Love your reaction videos! Plus you are the first person I have ever known that talks faster than my daughter! Keep your videos coming please!
Virtually everyone can relate. For me, it's been 50 yrs and it still brings a tear....
I really enjoy her reactions. She really likes the song.
The music from the 60's 70's 80's is the best. In that time everyone played the instrument. They did not use machines to make the beat. I love it.
Great classic tune! I used to listen to CKLW AM back when I lived in Detroit in the late 60s and early 70s. I still remember the call sign jingle.
Canadian Burton Cummings (on piano) was always been a fav of mine back in the day.
The Guess Who from my home town...Winnipeg, Canada.... :-)
I love your reaction.Makes my heart feel good.I grew up with this music!😄😄😄😄😄
My hometown (Winnipeg) boys! And now, in retirement (well, sorta: he still performs occasionally), Burton Cummings is living back in Canada in my OTHER hometown (where I went to high school): Moose Jaw. I've been listenin' to 'em, and lovin' it, since their heyday back in the late '60s / early '70s. Enjoy! 🇨🇦
One of my Favorites! Thanks India!! 💘You and Your reactions!!!
55 years ago I met the love of my life and she slipped away. Took a while but made peace with my past and she sits gentle on my mind. A warm place to go to in my soul. When I grow to old to dream by Vera Lynn best describes it. Peace and Love
This was cool. One of my favorite songs ever ! They have soul and good jazz in their music. You need to hear the record version also.
