I hadn't really paid attention to it before that because I was focused on listening to how close he still sounded to when the song first came out. He got sent to a Christian school where he was bullied for liking rock and metal music during the American satanic panic. That girl voice he uses was a defense/coping mechanism he used on jerks that were bullying him.
