The player character sliding across the ground while flailing their elbows around is one of the funniest visual bugs since dragons flying backwards and spitting flames out of their ass in Skyrim.
With regards to "this game doesn't hold your hand," I always think it's worth mentioning that famously cutthroat PVP sandbox MMO EVE Online has always had an exceptionally hand-holdy tutorial because you 100% need it.
Might be why that's like, the only super cut-throat always PVP sandbox whateverthehell MMO that isn't either dead, on the verge of death, or exists with like 10 people in it because it can actually attract new players.
Seeing as I know that Amazon is involved somehow; I'm not surprised at all that you'd have to pay to participate in the Beta. Why pay your own workers for actual work when you can charge players ? Clearly their main/only focus is earning money instead of providing players with a game that gives them what they need/want.
"Using a server that they found dumped in a canal somewhere" Which would be truly ironic if Amazon were to be one of the biggest server providers on the planet, right?
Yea, like, they could host web services. I would call it Amazon Web Services (short AWS). Hmm if only. They could make quite a lot of money with it. It could be their main source of income. If only they had some servers.
Yes let's pretend that hosting servers and developing a stable game server are the same things. Game servers run on top of server infrastructure. They are not one and the same.
@@nawdawg4300 Ashes of Creation was using AWS for servers and they handled plenty of 10k mobs mass spawned in an area, and 150v150 pvp sieges in the past on its A1 server. The fact is that New World's devs know it's not going to be profitable, which means they LITERALLY can not afford the costs of standard AWS others pay for. So it'll become P2W sooner than later, let's all have fun buying mounts, fast travel, and exp boosts!
"This doesn't feel like something made by a trillion dollar company" perfect description for Amazon Prime Video, on which I roughly based my expectations for this game.
@@n124ajdx ?? Fallout 76 was dead on arrival. Regardless of what this guy is saying, the game is nowhere near as broken as it's portrayed here. In fact, most people that have played it, like it tons! The only major problem is if they'll be able to keep expanding on content or not, but I've played about 40h thus far and i cannot report any major bugs at all. I will say, love a lot of MMOs, it can become tedious having to do constant fetch quests, but they reward you handsomely for it making it worth it
@@n124ajdx Stop overreating! New World is actually a very good game and it will only get better. The game is thin on content because the devs completely changed direction from a PvP centric game to a PvE centric game. In truth, the amount of content that AGS has added to the game in such a short time since the change of direction is actually very impressive.
Same.. im very skeptical about this game so far but I saw none of the issues he's having. I have even been playing on an Aussie server from NA west coast area.. *shrugs*
LOTRO has a couple of similar issues, but it's hardly a new game ;-) Sometimes when you summon a mount, it will spawn in around your character, and there's a delay before the "mount" animation fires, but you can still move, so this bizarre character/horse hybrid skates down the street for a bit until something pops and your character mounts up properly: this seems to always happen in well-populated towns and is most likely directly related to lag. There's one particular skill for Burglars which applies a Debuff to your target, and if you trigger it while running, your character adopts a casting pose and skates towards the target. This is simply an interesting clash between the skill and running animations, and might well happen for other skills that I either don't have or never noticed. As I said, that is on a game that started in about 2007, so it has at least some vague excuse: what is the excuse from "New World"?
I feel bad for the studio that created this. No matter how impressive the game is in relation to their actual budget they will always be held to the expectation of being a trillion dollar company. Once you see this as a child company that only gets an allowance from Amazon to make a profitable game rather than it being Amazon itself you view the flaws and features in a new light.
Let's not forget that they had to use their own inhouse engine called lumberyard which was them re-inventing the wheel. Pretty they could have saved a ton of resources by using UE and focused on the game content instead. Also, they did have a 500m budget per year according to Bloomberg so... that should do the trick.
@@vadeka well it was either use something they were familiar, and re work it for their needs, or learn an entirely new engine, systems and everything. Pretty sure this is why Bethesda sticks with their Creation Engine. Easy to work with and modulate vs time spent learning new engine. Not to mention, both have the access (more so Bethesda imo) to more money through their owners, they can allocate more resources to developing and iterating their own engines. Yeah UE is cool, but it doesn't meet every devs needs or wants.
@@vadeka I'm gonna need some citation on that.. I actually really love this game and am heavily invested in it's potential, but I do not see 500m budget, especially not 2.5billion budget since the game has been in development for at least 5 years now and you're 500m per year. Unless of course, in classic Amazon fashion, the 500 million budget had 470m going to Executive wages/bonuses, 20 million to regular employee wages and 10 million to actual game development. I don't know, I tend not to trust articles and news outlets these days, not because of some Fake News claims but rather because gaming articles tend to be opinionated rather than factual.

Lets see; infinte money exploit check, quest board and inventory bug giving infinte xp check, disabling others ability to engage in pvp check and also starting a war event in a territory a day early check. It will be a long video.
To anyone bummed at the map not showing specific nodes. Once you level up the corresponding gathering skill, you will see nodes on the compass as you walk around. It's not as nice as seeing nodes across the whole map, but it is better than nothing. This even works for things such as rabbits and turkeys.
About the starting zone...Me and me friend were going to play together, after carefully deciding on which server to play (massive queues everywhere), we picked a server, waited about 40min in queue to in the end, spawn on different locations far away from each other and not being able to play together (: Whoever thought random starting points in a game like this should rethink their life decisions...

Something about this game I just like. It may not do anything “different” but it just seems to do things well imo. It makes me feel like I’m playing RuneScape for the first time again, and I mean that in a super good way. think it has really good foundation also.
@@freemel8929 I haven't played BDO yet and have only recently started playing Runescape. In what way does paying in $100 make BDO the same as Runescape?
@@mechanomics2649 Eh, I just mean you need around $100 to buy the convenience items needed to play BDO as a primary game. Theres some items locked behind P2W that are necessary and beyond that its pretty non-p2w. The game itself is a lot like runescape, it has lifeskills and rank chasing that is very similar, and you can spend hundreds/thousands of hours grinding in pve or lifeskill to reach the top. The combat is 100% action and combo based and is far beyond any other mmo, but you can also choose to just do skills and pretty much make the same progress as someone who does pve. Huge sandbox, huge world, lots of locations and things to do.

the thing is people dont understand about game dev. It's probably not the servers but rather the optmiziation of the game. You can have as much servers you want, but if the game is flawded you will run into problems. A LOT OF THEM, and servers ARE NOT TO BLAME

No animation cancelling in a game trying to label himself " action " is a joke. During previous alpha it was way better since we had stagger and the SUPER SLOW animation would still be ok because of it, now it's a game of not pressing button and reacting to what others are doing, you're almost never reward for actually going first, even with rapier who has the lowest frames recovery. it's 2021, we have way enough good example to have good arpg. Not trying to be rude, but people saying "i like to use strategy and pressing button to have an impact more than being reward for reactivity "" aren't dedicate pvp'ers. They're muggers Albion ARCHling who enjoy 10vs1 ratio combat, hitting on lower level and less geared ppl and probably have a 700 ms reaction time. I get it, people dont want fair fights because losing would fall in their hands and ruin their ego, but for the love of god, dont market a game as " Heavy focus on PVP " when your core gameplay is so bad, and when leveling in pvp is legit 10 times slower than crafting and gathering (level 37 atm in beta). I was hoping for instanced PVP where we could have some decent fights but having to reach 60 is a no go for me. Why cant we have low level instanced pvp ? Since the revamp from full loot hardcore pvp, i guess AGS choose the path of least effort, trying to appeal as much as possible to a wide variety of people without actually putting effort into anything. As someone who've been doing PVP in almost every mmorpg since early DAOC, i'm sad and disapointed.
im hearing this isn't really mmorpg its ARPG trying pass as one, why I'm not sure about this game, plus its Amazon they don't really have a track record, if you want count everything they had failure and cancellations
@@kyotheman69 To be fair the gathering/crafting/trading aspect of the game ie decent. having paid voice actor for quest is good too. 15:50 the PvP actually looks really fun. PvE aspect seems really grindy, but PvP seems so have a pretty high skill cap. The dodge aspect makes it possible for a fairly high level difference to be made up by skill alone.
1v1 wear light armor for rolling dodges; pvp raids/battles wear heavy since you'll never know where all the headshots are coming from and thus cannot dodge them.
Yeah tbh now I can more easily forget about this lackluster MMO. Would be a lot more upsetting if they'd disrespected LOTR that way. Maybe that's the real reason they didn't do it 😂 maybe they knew it was going to be forgettable and didn't want LOTR fan base wrath. This game just feels like mayo alone slapped on a plate. Look at FFXIV, when it released it was so bad it almost Bankrupted the studio, now it's the most successful MMO out there.
Honestly, assuming animation glitches and lag are the ONLY major issues. That's fucking fine, they can iron that out real quick. I've never seen an MMO where I thought the fighting was good without being a cluster fuck of colors or a slogfest of hitting
i'm not defending new world but holy shit josh is that one unlucky dude in the server that got all that problem, because i have over 30 guys that i play with not a single person have problem like josh have...
It doesn't feel like a trillion dollar game because its budget is not a trillion dollars. I wouldn't expect Amazon to spend even half of a percent of their total budget on games.
I've narrowed my issues with the flow and feel of combat inputs down to one thing: You cannot overlap or "pre-load" the next action you plan on performing, and this leads to awkward situations like pressing down the left mouse button to wind up a heavy attack too early, making the input not register. You could easily solve this with some sort of action queue, and it would probably (if done right) make combat feel buttery smooth. I never had any of the server lag issues mentioned (in fact, it was probably one of the smoothest experiences I've had considering I could easily time blocks and whatnot), but I might just be lucky (EU player). All in all, aside from my issues with the flow and feel of combat I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
True, this is actually my main problem with how the combat feels. I find it especially annoying with the bow. Firing off multiple shots in quick succession is highly annoying and inconsistent.
@@cyan_2169 Thanks, I suspected there was a better name for it than a skill queue (since that sort of implies that you can let it maybe queue 4 skills or something).
That pvp looked pretty tense yo. And what I've seen of high lvl pve looks decent, at least. I think you underestimate the value of 1) Newness and 2) Amazon. People will check it out in mass. Whether they stay is a different stoy.
I think it will pull a Rift: start off with a strong but not overly big community, have 80% of those people leave within 2-3 months because they realise how average the game is, then have the game limp on with a niche and small playerbase until it either gets ruined by a cash shop or gets sold off to Gamigo. It will never be big, and when it's mentioned a couple years from now people will go "never heard of the game".
As someone who's been playing the beta and is around level 17, I feel like your assessment is pretty fair. I would say that the game's skilling/crafting system might be worth playing for, because it treads the line between being overly-complicated and overly-simplistic pretty well, advancing in it would take a long time and could have some unexpected rewards. The combat is a bit janky, but not bad, and I hope they'll keep iterating on it because I really don't like tab target games and this has been a breath of fresh air. I can definitely see myself getting at least $40 of enjoyment out of it, and that's without even having touched the pvp and territory control aspect yet.
Looks like a whole lot of pop-in on the draw distance, don't understand how he didn't notice that and comment on it in the video. The gameplay itself looks like something really dated. Doesn't honestly seem like anything better than unleashed online outside of the better graphics and better hit boxes during combat. Not something I'd actually pay money for when there's not much more going for it than alot of F2P MMOs.
Giving characters their own pair of Heelys really improves their quality of life. They can just pop those heels and roll for a while if running is too much!
Out of all things this game does well. It has created a huge social construct for a community to engage in. Already upon my server, the Sydacite is working together as a unified faction. It's neat, when you start seeing a positive community come together, over fighting each other. Additionally as an EvE, Albion player; this game provides a casual approach to hardcore territorial gameplay. It's just fun. It has issues yeah, but for once in an mmo, I don't feel isolated from everyone. It's nice to see continuous people and build relations and rivalries. The game, and world feel very alive.
spears are best medieval weapon. in the immortal words of Shad, "BIG STICK ENERGY!" Edit: also you just jinxed yourself there with the hope that Spiff won't get you to do something dumb as repayment.
Honestly, i think above average for the launch is fine. What matters is what happens after that. How fast they can churn out content and the quality of it. Also lets not forget this is the first MAJOR western MMO release since what, ESO i think? Players are starved enough that many will be fine with above average for a few months and hope the first large content patch will make the game amazing (I sure am). On the topic of the lag and animation bugs, i have never seen any of the movement bugs, and only experienced lag when the beta launched and the starting zone was a mosh pit of 500 players trying to all do the same thing simultaneously. However there was a hillarious bug that they already patched out, but for a time the ground was littered with invisible dead trees that you would get stuck on every 2 seconds.
Yeah I don't know what this guy is bitching about. He keeps mentioning "trillion dollar company" as if that means they are a trillion dollar game company. Their first big time game failed. How likely is it that they would pump hundreds of millions into another online game? They need to see if it will make money first, like any other company. He also mentions that it's riding off of the Amazon name alone. Contradictory to his point of this being a "trillion dollar company"; if this were a smaller company making this MMO he'd be absolutely praising it. He's mad because it's only "good enough" instead of absolutely amazing. Extremely pretentious attitude in my opinion. Also the entitlement of wondering why he never received a beta key rubbed me the wrong way.

@@112523 i was talking about destiny 1. But really, it doesn't matter. An MMO has a lot to deal with, most MMOs need to make compromises for budgeting reasons, but this is coming from AMAZON. One of the richest companies in the world have pleged full support behind the game and is willing to sink tons of money into it. It's likely it had the same budget as wow, or ff, which makes this even worse. It's mediocre at best, and for a company with as much cash as Amazon, it should be great with everything it does. But i can find everything it does, done better in other games. dodge roll matters in this game. Fat rolling gets you past the pve, but not the pvp. However, it's super high risk, super high reward. Mistakes cost you. I haven't tried being chunky boi, though. But I imagine you'd want something with a bit of range, since the opponent will have so much more movement potential. Heavy may just be pve only concept.
I have been so completely uninterested in New World ever since I first saw it. I don't know what everyone else sees in it, it feels so generic to me. It's all so... inoffensive, so infuriatingly average. It almost feels like a bit cleaner version of Conan Exiles.
it feels generic because this is the end product of applying the most corporate work style from the most corporate-like corporation. Polished and checks off a lot of feature lists....but ultimately lacks life. Basically make a product that is proven and "safe" and doesn't take any kind of risk, just throw a lot of money at it, and it should be a return on investment. That's the corporate motto.
Why so much hate for Airport Mania? I have great nostalgia on that game. I remember developing my dps warrior, the first time with two weapons, then when I learned Execute. I jumped on Onyxia's back and road her like a Harley. Would play Airport Mania again.
okay so, I played this back during the alpha testing and that running bug was not there. What little I can say bc of the NDA was that the phase I tested in was fun. Heavy in grinding a bit as far as resource gathering and leveling, and I definitely wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if I hadn't found a group that scored land and invited me to join them. There was an entire player class made for solo survivalists that could with a bit more work manage completely without needing the crafting stations or crafting classes used by Companies (Guilds), and people seemed to do really well in it, but there were a LOT of griefers that liked to run around naked in groups. They used a criminal status item loss on death system to punish murder, but if you just ran around naked with a wooden spear you had nothing to lose. We didn't suffer from server fragility or lag, BUT we had a smaller server cap size and the worlds themselves were smaller. Gathering was funny but if you joined at server start but not immediately as they opened, you got fucked on starting quests because all the resources you needed to gather for starting items was completely stripped down. Any bush that respawned would get stripped fast and some of them like trees would take a while to respawn so the environment completely changed one day when it was full of foliage and trees and made me super lost. The game was INCREDIBLY impressive to many of us, but people who got invited back to later phases of the alpha testing, even the one right after mine, said the game changed. A lot. And most of them were not going to buy the game if that was what it was going to be like.
one thing i'd like to say is the game may not have the best pvp or pve but one thing that attracted me was the faction/territory war that changed the settlements and added some structured political aspect, i havent seen it in too many other games and the combination of it all gave me a unique experience. I enjoy games like rust, conan exiles, ark etc but hated the "meta building/bases" i also disliked how if i logged off for a bit im going to lose everything i built up, new world provided a similar vibe with not full loot, structured war with set times, purpose to your settlements, and when u do fight for settlements its not this honeycombed mess of a building that has nobody defending it. Good review overall I think it was quite spot on, also funny animation for running i havent seen that before
Yeah extremely stupid. Supposed to be talking about an MMO and the dumb sh*t is just talking about some guy and a company that doesn’t holistically have anything to do with the gaming side of things. Terrible video.
people who are interested in this MMO (because they might like the setting or the combat looks interesting) should wait at least half a year before they buy the game because we all know that game will come out horribly broken
Normally I would agree with that but if you are interested in an mmo, then you play it from launch. Reason being there are more players, more activity and you may get to experience the game as it improves.
This video was just brilliant. I cracked up irl when you said "imagine ordering darksouls from wish." Surprised though, i played up to level 14 ( dont want to spoil myself for launch ) and experienced pretty much 0 lag or bugs. Suppose I'm lucky to have played early or on a better server?
Nah you just dont own a youtube channel dedicated to hating on games. Think about it if this guy couldn't make a video about hating on a bad game he wouldn't have content.
At the end of the beta, the only visual bug I found was inside Starstone Barrows. The lasers need to be fixed. The only things we need are bugs to be fixed. All of the crafting systems feel great.
yeah, i barely could see the lasers. i also think they should make it so that when revived in a pve setting you should get some invincibility time. as if you die to those lasers youll die again when revived by another player
I'm right at the end of the beta and there's a few concerns I'll add. 1. Getting to max level seems to easy. Yeah, there were people cramming because of the time limit, but there are too many who are in the 50s and 60. 2. The PvE content kinda drops off. There are places to mini-raid and that's it. 3. The world is worth exploring because of the visuals, but that's it. There's nothing hidden away. Just there's a rock with a ? on it. Is it a mini-raid or an empty landmark. It just.... feels a bit empty TBH. Now I haven't head north to the real PvE raids. And I haven't gotten far in the crafting, so maybe that's a bit chunkier content, but I've seen about 80% of what the landmass has to offer, because of the nature of starting in so many possible locations, everything is a duplicate.
Correct me if im wrong, but theyve already said the xp will be lowered and was this fast because of the beta time limit. Also there is content hidden behind quests/objects not put in the beta (thorpe in shattered plains etc). Also there is about as much lvl 60 content as there is 1-59 imo.

On the lag issue, not just a trillion dollar company but still the biggest cloud computing provider in the world ahead of both Google and Microsoft; no excuse whatsoever. There is probably an infrastructure/solution architecture somewhere in Amazon pulling their hair out because they estimated the capacity needs for this project, and then their seniors wouldn't provide sufficient resourcing from their own platform for the beta to run well enough. Cool vid Josh - thanks as always :)

Warframe could use it. It hold your hand for two seconds then plunges you into the void
Might be why that's like, the only super cut-throat always PVP sandbox whateverthehell MMO that isn't either dead, on the verge of death, or exists with like 10 people in it because it can actually attract new players.
@@youtube-kit9450 and space is cool as hell!
Seeing as I know that Amazon is involved somehow; I'm not surprised at all that you'd have to pay to participate in the Beta. Why pay your own workers for actual work when you can charge players ? Clearly their main/only focus is earning money instead of providing players with a game that gives them what they need/want.
"Using a server that they found dumped in a canal somewhere"
Which would be truly ironic if Amazon were to be one of the biggest server providers on the planet, right?
Yea, like, they could host web services. I would call it Amazon Web Services (short AWS). Hmm if only.
They could make quite a lot of money with it. It could be their main source of income.
If only they had some servers.
only if the company that i work for in London is worth like 300-400mil£ and is using amazon wek services that are not cheap .... only if
Yes let's pretend that hosting servers and developing a stable game server are the same things.

Wow, I've never seen or heard of that running issue xD

Same, or the lag. Hyperbole is in, I guess.
Same.. im very skeptical about this game so far but I saw none of the issues he's having. I have even been playing on an Aussie server from NA west coast area..
*shrugs*
Never had that running issue yet lol considering how laggy the quality of the video is, pretty sure that issues on Josh
LOTRO has a couple of similar issues, but it's hardly a new game ;-)
Sometimes when you summon a mount, it will spawn in around your character, and there's a delay before the "mount" animation fires, but you can still move, so this bizarre character/horse hybrid skates down the street for a bit until something pops and your character mounts up properly: this seems to always happen in well-populated towns and is most likely directly related to lag.
*Thank you gif!*
Yep.

All in all, aside from my issues with the flow and feel of combat I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
the action queue duration probably doesn't even have to be long, something like half a second should already make the combat feel much smoother

@@maxb2244 Any investment is a risk, but without the risk, there is no reward. If Amazon is only going to support it if it is an explosive success, then you might as well quit now.
@@Skyblade12 It doesn't need to be an explosive success, it just needs to bring in more money than it costs to run. It's no surprise Amazon would be hesitant to to attempt to make another big time game when their last one was a complete failure.
Thanks Lindybeige! I laughed so hard, I might have scared the neighbors
A trillion dollar company didn't make it. A small well funded new game studio made it.
My favorite part of this video is how, in like half of the footage, you can see in the chat portion of the UI the same dude spamming advertisement asking people to join his russian-only-speaking guild.
The true MMO experience (...and why i don't play on EU servers...)
I always imagined mexicans be the Russians of NA.
@@prankfazza Make is Central America as a whole and you've got it.
Huh, not where I would have expected to see a Lindybeige shout-out.
Don't sweat the haters. I know how much work each video is for a content creator. I appreciate all the effort and videos. Top notch! Interested in your views on this one.
Yeah so much work hating on game after game with no creativity.
You know what would actually be work? Creating an original video idea and entertaining your audience.
Instead he jumps from game to game to spread hatred and his loser fanbase eat it up like the losers they are.
@@xXSinForLifeXx
Exactly. Losers watching a loser content creator.
the best thing about this game is that they managed to make an interesting way of using quick time that doesnt make feel like gouging my eye out
JSH: “New world has no specific feature that is particularly exceptional.”
Also JSH: “Environmental design has been knocked out of the park and into outer space.”
I've seen similar environmental design in games that accomplish more.
He's saying this game doesn't do anything better.
That's still true, even with the environment.
@@XaadeTheBlade no you havent. i cant think of any mmo that does the open world like this visuals and soundscape included.
and yeah, ive played ALOT of mmo's
@@112523 maybe not MMOs, but I've played RPGs better than this for combat and world design for the same aesthetic. It's good ig, but it's not exceptional in anything but crafting. Reminds me most of destiny tbh, but at least destiny has amazing gunplay
@@narrowstone5363 i have to disagree on destiny 2. the gunplay feels very mediocre to me. plenty of games did it far better imo. but still, cant really compare a single player rpg with an mmo as an mmo has way more to keep in mind. not even talking about the amount of players connecting to the same server. games like destiny and warframe have an easier time at this since theyre mainly instance based
@@112523 i was talking about destiny 1. So why would people spend $30 on a mediocre game, that'll likely get shit canned within 3 years, and requires tons of time investment, when I could get FF, or WOW, or play Warframe or genshin for free. Or pay $60 for a game like the Witcher or Skyrim and automatically get more content for longer. It being an MMO doesn't save it from being middling at best
I haven't had any animation problems, or much lag at all. Apart from the servers going down now and again this game is in a better state than most mmorpgs that have been out for years. It does feel a bit like a crafting survival game with mmorpg tacked onto it. But that's ok I guess.
Is it the best game ever? No. But it does have the right mix of pvp and pve that keepss me coming back for more. Time will tell if it has staying power though.
7 and a half Josh's outa 10.
Oh if youve seen what they have planned for this game youd shit your pants. Pretty sure the current map is only half of the final intended map. You get sucked into the pvp builds with different weapons. Pleased with the game and excited the play it!
I wonder if Jeffy boy Bezos EVEN knows about this game.
Apparently he really wants to make a successful game that draws more people into Amazon Prime so he can sell more stuff like Amazon Luna. So I guess he at least roughly knows what his game department is working on.. maybe.
@@Stunex He probably knows his studio is making one of those games what are multiplayer. I doubt he knows any of the specifics.
Been watching a few hours of streaming on twitch and I still dont understand where the hype is coming from.
One word "Amazon"
This is how i feel about FF14 and this game. Im intrigued by this game tho, because it kinda reminds me of osrc mixed with DS
@@wesx1787.Might not be your cup of tea but there's plenty of stuff in FF to justify hype, there's a game there, New World seems just... barren. A scuffed mash up of Rust, Runescape and Dark Souls. Tho to be fair even if NW was more complete it wouldn't be my thing.
@@wesx1787 what i find intriguing is people who refuse to respect the amount of time and effort put into 14 by the devs to make it a good game because "muh anime". we get it. you don't like jrpgs. that doesn't mean 14 is somehow now comparable to this alleged mmo that amazon has kindly horked out into the mmo market so we all can see what a terrible bootleg DS game would look like if produced by a soulless multi-trillion dollar corporation that doesn't give even half a turd about what makes video games enjoyable.
@@wesx1787 its not for everyone but if you enjoy good storytelling, good worldbuilding and good fantasy characters ff14 is amazing. The story legitimately reminds me of game of thrones. Its sooo good
I love the invisible scooter mount!
You absolutely decimated that warhammer-wielding opponent. Finally, a PVP MMO where skill has the possibility of determining victory. Well fought and well reviewed, Mr Strife-Hayes.
dodge roll matters in this game.
@@XaadeTheBlade i-frames?
Don't play it then, simple.
Seems like the programmers need to grab empty piss bottles and get to underpaid, non-unionized work before their space overlord is angered.
well and truly said!
Why so much hate for Airport Mania? I have great nostalgia on that game. I remember developing my dps warrior, the first time with two weapons, then when I learned Execute. I jumped on Onyxia's back and road her like a Harley. Would play Airport Mania again.
09:48 - "we silently skate up to this unsuspectig boar like the ninja we are" 🤣🤣🤣🤣. That is freakin' funny dude!!!
okay so, I played this back during the alpha testing and that running bug was not there.
02:13 made me spill my beer.

Does 100%
look like a game, that i will not spend a singular cent on.
Free Access to Prime members is the way to go IMO.
@@handler8838 wait is there??
@@MarisCorner15 no just wishful thinking, but they should do like Xbox who gives you access to games with a monthly pass
Just saying im sure someone has pirated the game already
Cool, your loss brah
one thing i'd like to say is the game may not have the best pvp or pve but one thing that attracted me was the faction/territory war that changed the settlements and added some structured political aspect, i havent seen it in too many other games and the combination of it all gave me a unique experience. Good review overall I think it was quite spot on, also funny animation for running i havent seen that before
That lindeybaige shoutout took me by surprise. Nice!
I love how the whole video is just a random rant about Jeff Bezos going to space and Amazon being a trillion dollar company 😂
Yeah extremely stupid. Supposed to be talking about an MMO and the dumb sh*t is just talking about some guy and a company that doesn’t holistically have anything to do with the gaming side of things. Terrible video.
@@johnhill762 damn looks like someone has selective hearing
people who are interested in this MMO (because they might like the setting or the combat looks interesting) should wait at least half a year before they buy the game because we all know that game will come out horribly broken
Normally I would agree with that but if you are interested in an mmo, then you play it from launch. Reason being there are more players, more activity and you may get to experience the game as it improves.
@@burstlight7
why should I pay for being the beta tester?
Many MMOs also lack content when it comes out so you pay for less quality
The running animation is obviously from a skate-boarding game.
This video was just brilliant. I cracked up irl when you said "imagine ordering darksouls from wish."
Surprised though, i played up to level 14 ( dont want to spoil myself for launch ) and experienced pretty much 0 lag or bugs.
Definitely needs some more work. Still, one of the best I have played in a long time. Looking forward to your thoughts.
That’s some low standards
Gotta say the game is actually really fucking enjoyable
its trash and bland... like there is no content... overall design is trash as well
FF14 set the standard way Hight ... these mmo looks cheap and trash as hell to play
@@Userdoesnotexit FF14 also expects 10 euro a month and a purchase of dlc which personally I do not enjoy, there is actually alot of content and combat yeah it aint perfect but it is good and more fun than tab targeting. I can see where your pov comes from though
@@Userdoesnotexit if there is any game that "looks" trash it's FF14 looks like something I would play on my phone and with the most shit UI and full of weebs. Also new world is not really made for someone that likes WOW or FF14 because those are story and PVE focused games and this is pretty much only PVP focused with a new combat system that's nothing like the traditional MMO style systems.
Tried both WOW and FF14 but I actually fall asleep after 10 quests those two are actually the worsts MMOs on the market and I don't understand why ppl love them.
The servers must be hosted in Idaho. Only the best potatoes. Probably a potato-pi
I'm not part of the MMO crowd, I'm just here to watch you roast Bezos on occasion. Very enjoyable video either way
