I LOVE how cinematic the intro is when the jazzy rock song kicks in, that was incredibly RARE in those days. It still impresses me more than any modern HD games that try so hard to come off as movies. They really, really utilized the Sega CD hardware incredibly well for this port. If anyone ever needed a reason to own a Sega CD, THIS IS IT. I hope if Kojima ever revisits Snatcher for a new installment, he stays true to the gameplay structure. It's part of it's charm.
To me this is the greatest intro to any Sega CD game out there. Like my god, Snatcher has such a good opening in every way. The story, in-game graphics, World building/lore and overall soundtrack. Its perfection.
This was my first Kojima game. I remember being blown away by the stylish intro, the music, and the voice acting - which was so much better than you would hear in most games (pc or console) or dubbed anime at the time. I remember thinking the Working Designs games had great voice acting at the time and realizing many years later that it mostly doesn't hold up. I think the acting here holds up... even if it isn't nearly as special as it was in 1994.
Agreed. Its epic. It’s stylish, well written and also a bit creepy as well. It was my favourite intro for years until Oblivion came along. Nothing beats that imo. What do you think?

Yeah, I added Bond mainly for Snake Eater. Before that he was more Plisskin (can't believe I forgot him) and, I maintain, John Rambo. Snatcher also has a bit of Invasion of the Body Snatchers thrown in with the Blade Runner and Terminator. Cool user icon btw!
