Hey I work at a Ford dealer and that click from reverse to forward from the rear wheel is the axle nut not torqued to spec from the factory. That happens on alot of explorers too. Just torque that axle nut up and clicking should be gone. Thanks. good luck
Looking at upgrading from my starter car I got a 2022 Elentra when I was 16 and get into a gt premium I know I’m gonna take a mpg cut about how much are you getting ?
I bought mine a month ago. 2024 Mustang fastback GT 5.0. Only 260 miles so far. It's at the dealer right now for a loose panel on the side, a paint chip by passenger door, and the worse was a knocking sound when you break, on the front driver side. Also it's getting leather seat upgrades. I'll edit my comment when I get it back and put some more miles on it
I have a 21 Mach 1 with the “BBQ Tick” I use Ceratec , two bottles and it takes it right away, make sure you use two bottles though. It takes 1 bottle for every 5 quarts of oil . 🇺🇸💪🏼🐎
Question just bought my base GT in Manuel I’ve had a 2022 mustang GT as well in Manuel and other Manuel’s but for some odd reason sometimes even with the clutch full engaged and I put it in reverse and when I start to let off the clutch it pushes the shifter out and starts grinding and shaking… like is it not going into gear or are the pathways not clean…scared the sh%t out of me…
Mine had a CEL at 1k miles, it was the new throttle body, they fixed it under warranty and now at 6k its all great! The car is amazing, only that one “little” problem
You may have already addressed this is an earlier video, but when your screen freezes up, what are the two buttons you hit on the steering wheel? That’s the only issue I’ve had so far with mine, I try to go into the MyMustang screen to set my exhaust to Track mode, and it just sits there and freezes. Thanks!
If there is an issue, I’m hoping they’ve got mine in the pipeline to not have those issues. My build starts in April so hopefully they’ve addressed any problems as far as you’re ticking sound. This was an issue on the 2011 six-cylinder version of the mustang and it was the, you’re looking at the motor from the front the right rear lifter needed to be drilled out the oil run through a hole. Apparently that needed to be opened a little more as it was taking longer for the oil to reach that rear and that’s why you only hear it’s like the first two minutes you start to car up if that helps you so possibly just taking a little bit longer for that oil to get back to that rear lifter that’s my two cents I said they’ll address any issues they’ve had mine actually is the performance GT with the California special package and all the other options I think it came to $15,000 and options
Since this post I switched gears canceled my order and I bought an electric Mustang and I’m gonna tell you right now. I thought I was gonna be regretting it, but I absolutely love it. This thing is quicker. I’m not saying faster. I’m saying quicker than any of the other Mustang I have owned
YES, I have that same coyote tick from the engine, I noticed once it warms up to standard op temperature it calms down, is this something I should get looked at?
Without completing the video- My guesses- 1st issue- brake light switch is sticking, 2nd- your rubber driveshaft bushings are loose, or axle bolts are loose. 3rd- I would change the oil because of the break-in oil that is used from manufacturing.
@daily_driven have you noticed any whining noise? I think I can hear something around 4:40 min in your video. Got mine last week and I can hear that noise. Ppl say its normal and is due to the automatic transmission.
I’ve had my S650 for almost 2 months now. My brakes don’t make that click but they are a little squeaky, searched up my vin number for recalls and also shows I’m not affected. Never thought of it as an issue nor does it bug me but I did notice it. One thing that is annoying though is the pre collision not available will pop up when I remote start it sometimes
I have the 2024 EcoBoost and I have problems with the auto start stop, after the engine stops and restarts there is a fairly strong jerk in the transmission that I can feel it in the steering wheel. I have not taken it to the dealer because it is not always and it is difficult to reproduce the problem. I am waiting to see what makes it happen more often to take action with this problem. It's disappointing because my Mustang only has 700 miles on it and it's been doing this since I took it from the dealer.
I had the same issue with the clicking sound when going forward and reverse, I took it to Ford and it turns out the axels and the hubs were the root cause of the problem. Ford replaced them both and I got the car back and so far I haven't heard the sound once.
Dang really on a dark horse? I was looking at them as well as the Gt premium performance pack. I just worry it’s the first year of the s650 and usually that’s where all the TSBs and recalls start
Well on my 2024 mustang my driver screen got a little crack on the bottom left and I didn’t even hit it do you know if I will be covered on warranty or how much is it ?
I’m looking at getting one a premium performance pack but I still don’t know just yet because of the price but at least it will be under warranty which is why I’m going new but what’s that ticking?
Thanks! I have the Steeda progressive lowering springs. Unfortunately the dealer is blaming the spring install. Thankfully I replaced the axle nut and the sound went away!
My 24 GT got the tick after it's first oil change at 1900 miles. It is nowhere near as bad as my 2018 GT was. I do not have the brake pedal issue. I do not have the real axle click. Our 21 Eco Boost did. My work issued 2020 Explorer does it.
I’m leaving my previous comment but I’m due for my first oil change soon so I’m hoping I don’t have the bbq tick now I know what it is. I did see that video that you built and got delivered your car and the same happened for the one I bought.
My issue with the infotainment is, my phone does not connect to it. I rather use my android phone for GPS maps and such. When that happens, I press the bottom two buttons on the right side of the steering wheel and it restarts and most of the time my phone will connect. It's really annoying when this happens.
3500 miles on my 2024 GT. I haven’t had any of the issues you’ve mentioned (besides the infotainment screen freezing occasionally). The only issue I’ve had is that my trunk won’t close. I’ll have to try multiple times before it latches on correctly. I’m going to take it to ford soon. Hope everything works out man!
When buying any ford car make sure its made in America and you can do that by checking the vin number if the vin number starts with 1 4 or 5 then its made in America.
That's a half shaft problem or the speed ring thing. I have it on my 2016. Mine is the half shaft. It's not a bolt problem. There is this metal ring between the wheel hub and where it seats into the housing that it sits in. If it's that ring, you just need a new ring, and a new Axle nut. All Axle nuts are one time use. Finally found the name of it, it's a thrust washer or it's the half shaft itself. The thrust washer can be easily bent, did so when replacing my wheel hubs because I didn't even know it was there at first. Put the hub back together without it on the car and the dash lit up saying my abs system wasn't functioning properly. Replaced it with a new one and everything was gtg.
Ive been having the same problem with my brake assembly since day 1 and my vin also says unaffected but it also drives me nuts especially for a brand new 40k car...Let me know what the end result as I've been to busy to get back into the dealership.
I’m hoping to get a Mustang GT in the near future. This sound like a poor quality control issues. I have a 2006 IS and never have hear or experience issues like that. I hope Ford can resolve these things soon. Please keep us updated and good job 👏🏾
My 2024 mustang gt makes a whistling sound and gets louder when I step on it, do you guys know if this is normal, I got the car new currently has 157 miles
My 2024 gt has no A/c.. and squishy brake pedal I have it on video BTW.. but that’s okay they have been working on them for about 2 weeks now and probably another week more for parts to arrive.. Im Patiently waiting that’s all I can really do right now.. currently sitting only on 322 miles
Hi, i have gotten the same issue recently on my mustang 2024 gt with the clicking sound when pushing the breakpadel. Did you ever find out what it was?
my 2024 ecoboost performance has had some issues as well. mostly electronic. random warnings, i even got a misfire engine light that stayed for 3 days and went away. it says my collision sensor is malfunctioning all the time, the “start/stop” feature sometimes decided it doesn’t want to work so i’ll have to turn the car off and turn it back on. Also, every now and then when i turn the car, the speakers simply will not work with my carplay so i’ll have to turn it off and back on again. i’ve also had the instrument cluster stuck on “mechanic mode” where it’ll just show me all the dash lights on and a bunch of different codes as well as vin number all in the instrument cluster. My car also clicks when i turn the wheel and load the trans. but that’s about it. i can live with it honestly🤷🏽♂️
I’ve had the issue with the music and audio not working for CarPlay. Try going back to setting and click Android mode and let us go on for 2- seconds and then switch back to CarPlay. Of course it won’t let you while the car is moving so maybe at a red light or pull over but that should troubleshoot it super fast.
Sounds like a few things weren't torqued correctly and slowly came loose. Hopefully nothing major and a quick tightening is all that is needed👍 Ordered mine late.. won't be here until May😮💨
That is why they always say to never buy the first year version of something because they come with problems better to buy it the second year when they fix things
Neither clicks would be clicks I’m okay with. I hope they sort that out for you…. Been thinking over picking up one for myself hopefully I don’t run in to that
Yup, ford says the brake pedal sound is normal, the dealer said the sound in the rear is most likely a wheel bearing but don’t want to submit to warranty since I have aftermarket springs installed. If I take it back to stock they said they would warranty it.
OH yeah it's ticking, You can hear it. I try not to even listen for things anymore.. Oh and everything about these cars is more expensive right down to needing 10 quarts of oil now.. Mine takes 8 but I'm still buying 2, 5 quart jugs'.. It is what it is but please don't think these are cheap to daily at all..
I have about 1.3K miles on my 2024 GT w PP and 6MT. Im not experiencing any of these issues. The brakes are amazing w the Brembos...definitely not squishy feeling. I also did my first oil change at 1K miles...no tick as of now. I hope the dealer took care of you bud and you enjoy the car! Good luck!
The second issue with your car is the differential gearing he Fireway Jules Texaco back and let them have a look at it. Also try and test drive another similar car that will answer your question good luck insuring
lol then dont use the breaks dont move the car and dont start it that should fix the clicks in the breaks the tick in the engine and the tick in the axes.
Both those sounds can not be standard. No mfg. would have a part that makes those noises as standard or the way it should be. If that’s the way the car is supposed to sound I would never buy one. Good luck .
I think your video is being quite nit picky on all the different sounds you're experiencing on a brand new 2024 Mustang. I bought a 2023 Mach 1 6-Speed manual last May, and I absolutely love my Mach 1. It's my 2nd S550 and 3rd Mustang 🐎 and has approximately 6,500 miles on the odometer. It's a Mustang 🐎🐎 drive the wheels off and just enjoy it!!! American Muscle 💪💪🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲
@@daily_driven i hope so , are you having any mechanical issues? i guess there’s a thing going on with the new fords where the radio makes a loud “ Errrr “ sounds i hate it lol mine happens when i switch into reverse or open up all 4 gauges or turn on Ac it’s random with each one and not every time either
People are just stupid ...you keep buying Mustangs when the defects get worse and worse. You hope a tsb will be released to fix the problems but that does not happen till your warranty is up then its on you. The tic is not going away because the blocks from Mexico sux in quality. The additive they use is heavy break in oil, when you change it the tic shows up. Then you put in youre additive and the noise stops ,but it just masks the the problem doesn't fix it. JUST DONT BUY THEM AND FORD WILL HAVE TO FIX PROBLEMS RATHER THAN YOU !!! ,
I wouldn't do anything myself. They have to fix these problems. This is a brand new car, don't be a bitch. It's under warranty and they have to fix these issues. The clicking noises sound horrible.
Lol the only thing they could come back at me for is springs. But I agree they need to fix the issues. Ford has it right now, I’m hoping to hear something soon here
Hey I work at a Ford dealer and that click from reverse to forward from the rear wheel is the axle nut not torqued to spec from the factory. That happens on alot of explorers too. Just torque that axle nut up and clicking should be gone. Thanks. good luck
Hey Brian .. which axel nut is it ? And what is the torque spec?
Thankfully, there are no problems with my 2024 GT Performance. I hope the dealer gets you all squared away.
That’s good to hear! Thank you!
Looking at upgrading from my starter car I got a 2022 Elentra when I was 16 and get into a gt premium I know I’m gonna take a mpg cut about how much are you getting ?
Mechanic Professional answer
- THATS WHY I NEVER BUY THE FIRST YEAR NEW MODEL VEHICLES EVER!
Bro the ticking noise is NORMAL. The dual overhead cam has VVT, therefore it’s NORMAL.

Torque your sway bar links to spec, top and bottom for the noise.
Yeah i thought maybe the Guide pins on the Calipers ( Caliper bolts ), the Sway bar or Trailing or A-Arm, Control Arm 👨🏻👍🏻🏎️🏁🚩
Thankfully, my mustang has not been an issue at all. It only has 4000kms up to this date and time.
*that noise at **4:38** is from lowering your car mine did this it was the rear seat bar links loose*
My Flex started making a clicking sound when I brake as well. It never did it before, so I don’t think it’s normal at all.
I have a 21 Mach 1 with the “BBQ Tick” I use Ceratec , two bottles and it takes it right away, make sure you use two bottles though. It takes 1 bottle for every 5 quarts of oil . 🇺🇸💪🏼🐎

I’m looking at getting one a premium performance pack but I still don’t know just yet because of the price but at least it will be under warranty which is why I’m going new but what’s that ticking?
What two buttons do you press on the steering wheel to reset the infotainment?

Had that same clicking on my old s550. I took to dealer and they fixed it in a day.
Thought i had a tic in my 2023. It turned out to just be the fuel injecter working hard. After i hit 7000 miles it faded away.
3500 miles on my 2024 GT. I haven’t had any of the issues you’ve mentioned (besides the infotainment screen freezing occasionally).

Having brake issues as well!
@@barberdrama damn really, base or Peformance pack and what issues exactly?
I’m about to buy a 24 GT Premium. Watching for the end result of these issues.
Almost sounded like the brake pads shifted when you when forward or backward. Where they hit the caliper depending on what direction the car went in.
Has anyone had any light tapping/rattling noises coming from the rear passenger while driving on their 24?
The brake thing is a GPS tracker from the FBI
Nah, he’s a Democrat as I saw a Harris/Walz sticker on his mustang. He should be OK….
The Rear Click could be the Brake Caliper Guide Pins ( Bolts ) 👨🏻👍🏻🏎️🏁🚩 Might have them Torque to Spec.
My 2023 doesn't have any of that just the barbecue tick but comes and goes and it's not that loud on the 23s don't know about other year models

Hi, i have gotten the same issue recently on my mustang 2024 gt with the clicking sound when pushing the breakpadel. Did you ever find out what it was?
Hi pure, i have the same issue on the brake pedal clicking noise, did you already fix yours?
my 2024 ecoboost performance has had some issues as well. mostly electronic.
random warnings, i even got a misfire engine light that stayed for 3 days and went away.
it says my collision sensor is malfunctioning all the time, the “start/stop” feature sometimes decided it doesn’t want to work so i’ll have to turn the car off and turn it back on.

Of course it won’t let you while the car is moving so maybe at a red light or pull over but that should troubleshoot it super fast.
I had a similar clicking in my 19 Camaro SS and it ended up being my 5mm wheel spacers lol
For the 2024 GT how is the automatic transmission? I prefer a manual transmission but I was wondering if they have a good automatic.
The 10 speed auto is really nice in the 2024. Feels better then the s550 10

Just get Royal Purple Engine Oil. I used that in my 2013. Great oil.
That oil sucks for newer gens
Dang, you got rid of the eco for a GT? Grats bud, happy for you. Hoping to get one soon too!

I guess I’ll have to call Ford before April to make sure it don’t lol
Ford is the recalls champions,Quality control at level 0.
Sorry to hear that 🚗😩
Thanks man, I hope to have it back soon!
@@daily_driven I sold my Ecoboost last year I now have a 330e🚗
Add ceratec and the tick will be gone ..promise
take it back to ford my man, i haven’t experience any of these, i’m almost at 6k miles and i’ve pushed this car
Yeah it’s at ford now being looked at. I hope to have an update soon!
@@daily_driven my remote start stopped working too 🤦♂️
People are just stupid ...you keep buying Mustangs when the defects get worse and worse. JUST DONT BUY THEM AND FORD WILL HAVE TO FIX PROBLEMS RATHER THAN YOU !!!
,
One issue is its to fast
That’s right! Haha
Maybe all the issues are because you got a automatic 😊
I wouldn't do anything myself. They have to fix these problems. This is a brand new car, don't be a bitch. It's under warranty and they have to fix these issues. The clicking noises sound horrible.
Lol the only thing they could come back at me for is springs. But I agree they need to fix the issues. Ford has it right now, I’m hoping to hear something soon here
That clicking is annoying...
Ok ill just buy the 2025 GT instead 😅
Welcome to ford
