Fine Art Photography A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE!

- In this video, I capture unique Fine Art Images from Lindisfarne, The Holy Island.
This video was a challenge and a half to make. In fact, when I started to create this video, I had no idea if I could complete it. It was either bordering on stupidity or bravery, I'm still not entirely sure :)
Having said that, I'm a great believer in no pain no gain!
MORE INFO ON MY POST-PROCESSING: tinyurl.com/ykhcm7yr
My intention was to photograph a safety structure that sits between the Island of Lindisfarne and the mainland. Its location is on a really nice pathway called Pilgrims Way. It has been created as a safe haven for anyone that gets cut off by the rising tide.
As you can see in the thumbnail, it's a really interesting structure and one that I believe is conducive to my style of Fine Art Landscape Photography.
The question is, did I manage to complete the task I set out to do? Furthermore, did I actually take an original composition of a well-photographed subject? I believe I did but if you know differently, please let me know in the comments section below.
I hope you enjoy the video. Feel free to leave a comment

The last one, looking back out to sea is my favourite.

Definitely a dodgy walk out in the mud Gary.
The tide certainly came in very fast and thank goodness you didn't get cut off.
Absolutely stunning image's.

Nice one Gary. I liked the reference to Vera's house on the map!
The end results are just amazing .
At 14 min - Love the reflection adds a bunch to the shot.
Cheers James 👍👍
Last image for me, something completely different, hell of an image 👍
Gary, I like the way you said “I’m excited by that “ when you pointed at the structure. It looks like an alien structure to me. I’d like to see it at night, with stars reflected in the water, yea 😂
Now that’s an idea 👍👍
Talk about Risk & Reward! I've often heard you mention risk & reward in your videos but this proves the point. Great video Gary and the end result speaks for it's self.

Sunning! The simplicity of the composition is amazing. I can see what attracted you to this spot and the fact you had to go to so much trouble to get there makes it so much more interesting.
Cheers 👍👍
What a great channel, what a great effort. I really enjoy your videos. 2 thumbs up….

Excellent images, been there a few times but never ventured out to that one, hubby would have a hissy fit, but he's my tide watcher
Those sensor spots didn't bug me at all ;)
Amazing shots Gary! That foam coming onto the beach looked crazy! I’m enjoying your photography very much👍🤩
Thanks 👍
Been there across that causeway as most other photographers have and just about made it back in a terrible storm, I thought it was very risky doing what you did there will bound to be others trying the same thing, but such is life, your finished picture looked great so I am pleased that you got what you wanted. Thanks for taking us with you.....
Cheers Des 👍👍
Love this style of Photography. Your shots are great. Love the channel
Thanks a ton! 👍👍
Thanks Gary,,,For taking me along and showing how a Photographic Artist makes his ART :) :) :)
Cheers John 👍👍
What a cool video. Great idea and beautiful results on your final image. Good stuff, Gary.
Thank you! Cheers!
I live in the north east and have never seen any images that use the structure, but iv got a feeling im about to see alot more, if anyone is brave enough lol. I absolutely love all of them, great work Gary.
Thanks Doreen 👍👍
Fantastic shot. Love the fine art effect.
Cheers 👍👍
Well done.. awesome!!! The lengths you go to "to get the image that you can forsee" +++
They’re all amazing. It’s a little scary to see just how fast the tide came in. I’m glad it didn’t force you to retreat and you were able to get several images. Your fine art images are truly worthy to be displayed on any wall for many people to enjoy. Nice video. I think you may be a little bit of a risk taker, which adds more interest to the video.
Cheers Clark 👍👍
Some people would look at that structure and just walk on by, but when you add an eye and talent to it, the results are superb! And how weird was that foam rolling in?! Great video, thank you.
Cheers Dave 👍👍
Excellent video, Gary! My favorite image is the one @20:00 with the poles leading off to the right. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers Darren 👍👍
I love that location and I’ve been there hundreds of times to shoot. I have never ever considered shooting that refuge. Great thinking out of the box. Great video and images. Nice one 👍👍
Cheers 👍👍
Great images and a story well told. 👍
Cheers 👍👍
Woww another fantastic video but wowww talk abt an awesome structure 👌👌👌👌 your very brave venturing out there, omg i was white knuckled when I saw you stumble and sink. Amazing image Gary and thanks soooo much for sharing yr adventures with us. From this photographer down under ( in Australia) 😃👌👏👏
I panicked a little too :) Thank you xx
welcome to my neck of the woods 👍
Well, that was quite an adventure, though I wasn't worried about you getting stuck in the mud or drowning - or you wouldn't have posted the video! I wasn't so keen on the structure at first but then loved it with the reflection that grounded it more. Always interesting to see your process and your creative foresight. Sweet success!
Cheers 👍👍
Great set of images Gary really do like this type of photography.
Cheers Paul 👍👍
How the chuff did I miss this 😮
Those refuges are fascinating structures ,perfect for minimal work as you've ably shown 👌
Dangerous ? Daft ? Didn't stop you though ( nutter 😅)
A master at work!! I so wanted to be with you here!! Seriously class! CLASS! I can’t say it enough. The images world class.
Very kind, what did we agree? a tenner? It's in the post 😁
definitely unique Gary as I can't recall seeing any images of this particular refuge before and look forward to hopefully seeing more about the processing in the members section as the final images were fantastic
Cheers Scotty. I'll make a video on this post-production 👍👍
Looking forward to that video Gary! Loved all of your images at that wonderful location! Cheers, susan
You live on a Great Island. I‘m a Little Bit jealous because i live in the middle Office Germany. 😢 live you Videos , for me as a Hobby fotograph so inspiring. Thanks Allot and Jeep going.
I live not far from Holy Island and I am planning to go there again soon while the tide is in. I doubt whether I would risk doing what you did (she who must be obeyed would not allow it!!). Very good photos and I prefer the photo with just the structure.
Cool final image but I must admit I got very nervous for you when I saw how fast that tide was moving
This was a well planned adventue, expertly executed, imho.
They say art is subjective whether fine or not. I say you nailed this subject, and the final image is indeed fine!
Cheers Steven 👍👍
Outstanding photographer and images! Your creative mind is superb. I love the composition with you on the right hand side of subject ! ❤️
Many thanks as always xx
@@GaryGough Seriously need to meet you in person just to thank you. For sharing your experience/knowledge and work!
Inspirational for those wishing to develop their 'fine art' skills!
Cheers Steve 👍👍
Never been to Lindisfarne - I was planning on going with my friend who sadly died of cancer before we made it.
And, that route looks really scary...
Lovely images Gary. Thank you for sharing ❣️. Great to see the cameos.
Lindisfarne is a lovely place Heather - I recently attended one of Gary's workshops held on the Island and it is a super place to be for photography.
Amazing images, thank you
Cheers xx
I tell my wife if I die during a photo shoot, mostly by doing something risky, make sure to check my memory card to see if it was worth it! Love your work. I’m working on long exposures now to get the basics time before I subscribe.
Cheers 👍👍
Love the pictures really excellent!
Cheers Clive 👍👍
Excellent images, I'm always nervous going out on the mud when you don't know the area, hopefully you let someone know you were heading out. Always like your videos, they are helpful and inspirational.
I was pretty nervous too 👍👍
Great location Gary, but scary to say the least. Loving the fine art style
Many thanks 👍👍
Great video, and I see you're still using the 5D mk.3..? if so, what a workhorse.
Awesome!!
Thank you 👍👍
It is interesting but risk getting stuck on it, I would think twice about. It is an excellent image
Cheers James 👍👍
Fantastic as usual Gary 👍📷. Was there in 2020 after lockdown but not as brave as you, I just jumped out the car on the way back to the mainland and grabbed some shots 😂🤣. Thanks again for this.
Cheers Chris 👍👍
