For some reason, I felt that option 1 sounded way better.
Shoot, get the Snowball iCE then 🤷🏼♂️😂

Quick and to the point. Proved the yeti was better right away. I wish more comparison videos were like this.
Sidenote, i thought the snowball was the yeti at first. Its really good.
But when the yeti comes on, its obviously a jump in quality.
I really need your mic settings for the Yeti. You sound excellent, like a podcast voice with no background air or noise.
All the settings I use are in this video: ua-cam.com/video/RfWOOahu2xU/v-deo.html 👍
If you put your mic in a box with sound foam in it the snowball does pretty good for the price
Yeti sucks ass, don't buy it. Sure the audio quality is good, but the build quality is very poor. Mine broke after 1 month of normal gaming usage.
@@meppo6781 I think the Blue Yeti I bought was defective out of the box. I had to have the thing an inch from my face to be heard regardless of the fiddly settings I used and regardless of how high I turned up the mic input on my PC. I ended up relying on the built-in mic from my Logitech web cam. Sure, the audio quality was crap, but I didn't have to be an inch away from it to be heard.
My Blue Yeti was a useless paper-weight. Maybe it was defective right out of the box?
For me the blue yeti is 100% the way to go. You could hear in option 1 (snowball) it gave the echo effect with and/or without the editing involved. Yeti has much more precision in picking up vocals. Thats just my thoughts and hearing anyways
Exactly. I honestly think the Raw snowball is better, but the YETI has much more potential once you get in the edit
damn im so early that the quality is still 360p XD
Yeah it's crazy it does that lol
Oh my god! the way you sing .....you should be a famous singer ....bro
yea youre right he does use autotune correctly
@@marcusevonblade2804 he use no autotune bro....its a true voice
(Just a joke)
@@kek2045 is that ironic ? cause he definetly is using autotune and i hate it
So much auto tune
Way too much auto tune. He sounded like Travis Scott when he was cursing out those security guards.
This guys voice is beautiful. He should be in a musical!
😏😏😂
Auto tune
DFatts Beatz yes.
Good for voiceovers too
Rhombus Slacks auto tune?
Love it that you started the video without telling which sound is from which mic! Gave already there a like
Thanks man :)
How to get rid of the hissing... its still audible in ur voice ....especially more on Yeti
Lower the gain and up it through windows
Bhai Bhai Bhai your subscriber here
Put it in a USB 2.0 port. The black one not the blue one.
Hissing?
My friend had the issue. he bought a audio hub and it fixed it
Thank you for not having an 30 minute to hour long video about something as simple as the sound. I honestly can hear the Yeti makes a difference, but when you were singing, I wasn't looking at how the mics were switching for sound and couldn't really tell the difference. Definitely would go for the ICE.
bruh the vocal test had so much heavy auto-tune that I couldn't even focus on the quality between the two mics, smh
That doesn't at all make the difference unnoticeable, it makes it even more noticeable
@@contentcreter114 im not saying that the difference is unnoticable, im just saying that I cant focus on the quality between the two mics because its full of such heavy auto-tune. like cant he just learn how to sing well so that he doesnt have to use this much auto tune for his music. Like i see in the comments of this video and in his music video "your voice is so amazing" like no his voice isnt impressive, his skill of using auto tune is impressive
@@le_drumster I agree, and with current music trends, the slight robotic sound that the snowball had seemed to add to it and sounded pretty good, but I have no idea if that was the intentional editing or just how the mic is. It makes it impossible to tell how that would affect a more traditional style of singing like a ballad or something.
With all due respect, this is a pretty uneducated thing to say. There were four different sections that didn’t include any Auto-Tune, so you had all the opportunity you could need to gauge the audio quality, even if pitch correction did affect mic quality.
But it doesn’t anyway. Pitch is independent of tonal quality, so regardless of what the melody is or how its sung, the quality of the mic will be reflected. Kinda like saying it doesn’t matter what mic Travis Scott uses because of the stylistic Auto-Tune he uses in songs. Additionally, I wouldn’t try to make the argument that Auto-Tune replaces talent or proves you can’t sing. I’d encourage you to first actually mix a song start-to-finish using it. It’s a tool, just as much as an EQ, compressor, delay, or reverb.
Hey man, excellent video, great job singing too - I was surprised and impressed. I just bought the snowball and i'm happy with my decision. I used to spend thousands on music gear, Shure SM 57's on all my drums, etc... but this USB mic has been really impressive so far and i think if youre going to go for a USB/vlogging type of setup, the snowball with a pop filter is about as good as it gets for balanced budget and quality.
Lol thought option one was the yeti for sure 🤣
The yeti seems to be bassier while the snowball seems to sound slightly more tinny/muffled. Overall, I'm going to get the snowball, the difference is too small to double the price for me, and I think the snowball just looks better anyway.
Thanks for the help, I was a little torn between these and this helped me out.
I really like how simple and to the point this video is
Aye bro no 🧢 you kinda look like markiplier 🔥 good review!
🙏🏼😂
He does lol
anybody gonna bypass the fact that my man spat FIREEEEEEE
feat. Autotune
It’s melly
The Blue Yeti sounds a lot more base heavy while the Snowball almost sounds like you are farther away or like it almost has more reverb. I have the the Snowball and I'm happy with it but I have to say that the Yeti sounds better.
you can fix that using apo equalizer plugins and it'll sound just like a blue yeti.
2:08 to 3:06 , It's hard to hear a difference when there is autotune. or maybe just me?
I agree with other comments, I like your voice, and I'd listen to more than just this. Both narrative and singing!
Thank you! :)
awesome idea with the blind test, really liked it. have to go with option 1 tbh
Glad you liked it!
I thought option one was the Yeti at first but then as option 2 started to play I just knew it was actually the yeti
يوسف أحمد he heard better quality
They both sound good but for people wanting the best audio, the Yeti seems the most reasonable one. Though i don't know if it's a worthy investment to pay twice for the Yeti, i'm still perplexed :L
producer: how much autotune would you like?
Jason: Yes
Yeah, I am a live-streamer for both Twitch and UA-cam so I think you helped me reach a decision. I am probably gonna go with the Snowball cause I am on a budget and they both sound pretty similar to me.
Yeah i have a snowball, it was in my budget range and it works great! (Its a snowball iCE)
@@andrewisvrycool I’ve had mine for over a year. Lol it’s done great so far. 🙂
They basically sound the same but I'mma cop the snowball (update) the snowball is AMAZING! (Update) got voted of the snowball getting blue yeti 😂
Imma get it
@@ziad1030 it's great
Now I'm gnna get one I wanna start rapping and if they sound similar it doesn't matter
i’m getting the snowball this friday i’m so excited
Real.J • would bot recommend the snowball for recording music, especially with the tripod. its reverb-ey as fuck unless you have acoustic treatment in ur room. The yeti handles that better
2:06 the voice is so good!! I didn't see any difference so I'm buying the snowball,
So much quality in this video and good singing. Amazing! Keep the good job!
Thank you! Will do!

I want one but I can’t aford one
😭
S Fire hey don’t say that. You can save up your money
I love the snowball ice!
Hi Person I can’t
The Snowball has a lot more warmth, but slightly less clarity, so its ultimately up to preference
dawg... you ain’t have to snap in that song 😂 shit was 🔥
I appreciate that man 😭🙏
I guess its just kind of preference. I'm seeing alot of comments saying the snowball sounds alot better, personally I thought the Blue Yeti sounded way better. But I also agree with his first point for $50 bucks its worth it way more but if I had the money I would buy the Blue Yeti.
I'm considering a Yeti cause Snowball ice is so soft. Judging by the distance of the mics by itself should have a huge difference in terms of volume. I'm sure you had to bump up the Snowball ice volume more.
In computer speakers the Snowball sounded better, but with good headphones you can notice the Snowball has some ambient static noise while the Yeti seems to have almost none of that. The Yeti also sounds better in general when wearing headphones.
Bro the snow ball sounds so good 😂 I’m buying it
have you gotten any buzzing/feedback on the blue yeti? I'm struggling to get rid of feedback with mine. Thanks!
Thank you! Do you have any tips on the editing for the Yeti on a mac in Garageband? I have Tal reverb but couldn't download the fish or you wa shock plug ins on a mac
Ugh so many people with Macs ask for alternative plugins but I've never had/used a Mac so I really don't know... Sorry :/
The mic comparison with the music example was really good.
Ive been trying to find a good reasonably priced mic to stream with and also possibly record some songs/covers on and it looks like, thanks to you, I finally made up my mind. 😁
Sounds good & enjoy!
I think the snowball should be a little closer to your face at the start, maybe similar to the distance from your face to the mic on the yeti
Yeti sounds a bit better but not a large enough difference to drop twice as much cash. Thanks for showing the difference between the two!
Of course :)
without any doubt, the yeti is clearly better. Anyway, the Snowball make a pretty good job, specially with that incredible vocals dude. Thanks!
Jason, I really wanted to know how to get rid of ads man!
Vegas rendered the video wrong and I didn't realize til after I uploaded it! Tomorrow morning man, I promise 🤞😂
😫
get ad block
Cool World when we respond 3 months later 🍪
You can immediately the Yeti captures the voice better. You can hear his voice become clearer and more prominent. Once he started singing you couldnt tell the difference. Definitively purchasing the Snowball. Thanks for the comparison
Blue yeti just makes him sound a bit more deep
Didn’t expect the singing👀
I like the first mic better. It has a more open, even sounding response. The Yeti sounds more muffled. Still sounds good, just not as even across the frequencies.
thanks man! i found that the yeti was the better one right away. subscribed.
1 sounded way better to me lol
I don't like the option 2 one when you say words with the letter S. It sounds bad.
yeah lol
2 is definitely better tho
@justanothergamer 101 nah 2 sounds more natural
This is what I wanted to hear. I hope one day I can watch Yeti x vs. Yeti vs. Rode
The Yeti definitely has a wider soundstage and more depth.
Great audio comparison. Thanks!
I liked the Snowball better. The Yeti is way too sensitive and you have filter to get it to sound right without excess stuff.
Bro we need a cover!Your singing is amazing!!👏 👏 👏
Thank you man 🙏🏼
Thanks, this was super helpful! I can DEFINITELY tell the difference!
Hey man, weird question but my blue snow ball's leg came off bc I leaned on it and I can't find a way to put it back in without it falling out
3 years late but you could get a boom arm
Hey man! I actually was guiding by your video when I bought my snowball mic. Which program do you use for voice processing? I tryed vb-cabel with voicemeter software, but it's not perfect. Can you recommend something? The main problem is the electronic noise (it look like it's not grounded) when you are speaking.
I’ve used the snowball it’s good for streaming and gaming but if u want to make songs with the snowbal it’s too boxy sounding and captures too much of the low end
Getting my blue yeti tomorrow really excited
The yeti just sounds so much richer
Thanks for this I’m thinking of picking up the snowball for another setup. I have the regular blue yeti and I really like it. Well done!
wanted to say thx you really helped me! and saved my money
The yeti is far better, but for most people's casual uses, like for at a desk and so on, the snowball is more than suitable enough.
I'd agree with that.
bruh those both sound the same i was gonna cop the yeti but now im going to cop the snowball great video
just got the snowball, its totally worth the money bro you'll be happy.
wow! i have a blue snowball, but I didn't think the sound will be OK untill I saw you VDO.Ahh Could you advice me between Voice meeter and Plugin(shock, tal, fish), Should i use for vocal? Thank You.😊
If you want to/are able to edit after recording, use the plugins. But otherwise, use realtime edits 👍🏼
@@jasonrtech I will give it a try,Thank you so much 😊😊😊😊
love how you did this video man, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it :)
I bought the snowball yesterday from a lady on Facebook for £10 its great. A little hiss as the pickups really good. But mixed into a gaming stream you don't notice it and the voice still cuts through crystal.
Hey, this video is really useful, just what i was looking for, thanks! (P.S - The blue yeti sounds better) :)
Glad it helped! :)
Ay appreciate the review man. I just ordered one using your link. Keep up the good work 💪
Option 2 had a very high dropoff, as if the audio pickup was highly localised.
Small shifts of the head had a huge impact on how sound was picked up
Option 1 (the cheaper one) was better.
BUT: the yeti should have a switch to make to enable surround pickup of audio (forgot the term they use for it)
Nice video. Straight to the point in no time.
Appreciate it man!
Although I could tell option 2 was better I'm thinking to get the snow ball, since my primary use is just burry conferences and don't gaming. Both doing better than my laptop mic, and don't require my headset to be on.
Great to the point review. The "Jam" was pretty good as well.
What program do you use for vocal editing?
Audacity!
@@jasonrtech audacity is very easy to use, I use it with my shure sm7b and focusrite scarlett 8i6 3rd gen interface.
Dose the mic have like voice back in you’re headset? So u can here loud you get?
Pffff noobs...
Once he started talking, I already knew it was the blue one
I think the yeti is significantly better but I’m also listening thru a prosumer setup
Even though there was a lot of autotune when u sung, ur a good singer
Appreciate that 🙏🏼
I'm looking to get one as a gift that would capture sounds for SoundBaths. Do you feel the Snowball would work or is Yeti best for that??
found markipliers son. subbed
Thank ya.
Earned a thumbs up for the singing. Thanks for this comparison!
I like the blue yeti a little more better. And your singing is really good! :)
an amazing video great thankyou and amazing vocal work at the end
Honestly, the difference is so small, it’s hardly even worth it to get the yeti
I agree
I don’t really agree with that- yeti sounded fuller. It’s noticeable.
came here for bronze and i found gold
as in the singing. as in i came here for mic info and ur singing is good.
you sing good.
Haha, thanks so much!
Jason I subscribed, I like you're channel. But i don't understand why you have only 12.3 thousand, you're videos are really good.
wow are you the one singing, if you are, NICE.
Me neither 🤷♂️😂
Actually I'm thankful for every single subscriber I have now and I appreciate your support 🙏
And I am indeed the one singing so thanks lol
Option 2 sounds much better for me.
Dang his singing is better than the mic itself
Haha thanks :)
great video, clear, precise and straight to the point
Good vid bro nice voice too 🔥🔥
I appreciate that 💯
What product do you use on your hair? Whatever it is I need it.
Great video by the way!
Thanks & back when I had the curls I used Cantu 👍🏼
Blue Yeti has a way better tone.
Agreed, a bit fuller imo.
You need to be clear on your title. The title says Snowball vs Yeti, but the description says Snowball iCE vs Yeti. The iCE is cheaper than the regular Snowball.
Dude what sounds are you using when you sing? I love your voice
I'm doing a vocal editing walkthrough in the next few weeks 👍🏼
Ight so which should we get if we’re on a budget though sounds kinda stupid but heard the snowball was rlly bad and just a honest meme of a mic idk tho pls respond.
Jason I think you uploaded it it 360 p
Haha when you upload 4K videos they take a while to process. So if you come back in an hour or so all the resolutions will be available 👍
@@jasonrtech oh thought so cuz your camera is hell good
I already watched the whole awsome video
Appreciate that man :)
It can’t be more different blue yeti for life
this guy makes high quality videos with only 19.2k subs smh.
Singing sounds about the same from both mic, but I like the speaking sound from Yeti more
