Lacroix and Scottish design firm Timourous Beasties have done very famous toile de jouy patterns the last 20 years that have win the spotlight too. Timourous Beasties won severak awards for theirs with Glasgow street scenes (one is a mugging). Lacroix made a cheeky erotic themed toile. Persmhaos these aren't well known in the US? It's a wonderful tradition that's open to any new design intepretation. I personally love that they are all similarly pretty at first glance an at a distance, but up close they cause reactions, reflection, conversation and as was always the idea, amusement. Very cool interview and work, thank you for uploading!

There is some premonition of the series Bridgerton (Tom Verica, the native Philadelphian and Netflix Director) coincidentally.
