I switched on my laptop in the morning, just to see this once more, absolutely breathtaking, beautifull, and Mia Michaels you are trully a gem of a person and choreographer.
Just saw this for the first time...totally inspired....so emotionally truthful....very powerful due to its' simplicity and honesty.....all dance makers, take note!!

I have heard this piece is symbolic of the movie 'The Ring'. The woman in the well, the hand over the ear, the sitting on the side of the well, the blue light (and static like staging) the pulling down of another victim, the hurting, sobbing, etc. Plus the long hard and the costume (image of the rings at the end).
This was truly an amazing combination of a talented choreographer and extraordinary dancers. I'm in awe at how beautiful yet eerie it is. I can't find a clip of Mia telling the story behind this choreography.. Does anyone know it?
This is just stunning. It's beautiful but sort of disturbing! It's like Picnic at Hanging Rock, Spring Awakening, the David Bowie Black Star video and the The Ring all in one. haha Seriously though, Mia Michaels is genius and the dancers were fantastic.
