I want to thank you SO MUCH. After being shamed as a 65 YO flip-phone slinger, and contemplating a smart phone for the last 3 years, I had finally took the plunge with a Samsung S10e. After the initial battle with Virgin Mobile to get it activated, I spent the next 20 hours being frustrated with Andriod's ... um ... quirks. One of my main goals was to transfer all my music from my PC to the phone, for Android Auto. Your straightforward and simple directions made it easy. And it was so simple, I'll remember it in the future.
I was looking for a deeper solution, but you're a genius. It was the cable all along. thanks

thanks. i realized i had to set my cable to transfer. Started with phone on. Then plugged in. Then something came up and I Change the settings on my phone to file transfer.
I want that desktop, were you make it? How do I make it?

If i use first option in popup menu i.e sync option is all my files copied ?
If copied in pc whether they will delete when i remove usb or remains permenantly in pc???

I used cables I bought from Amazon 3 for $5. They work great!
Fail. The screens and settings on my Android T3 6.0 are far different than yours.

just get a HDMI cable and hook it up to a TV. It worked for me
Just get a mouse and an adaptoe and unblock your phone with the mouse

Crashes when going to my phone's files.
I'm using the real cable & no folder pops up. Windows cannot see phone.
Try going into 'my computer' and see if your phone files are in there. If not then maybe get a new cable. If its not the cable it might be the USB port itself. If none of those things work, you could email the files you want to yourself, then download them from the email onto your PC. Hope this helps.

the title is "How To Transfer Files Between Android and PC Using USB Cable" but what is actually shown is " How To Transfer Files Between PC to Android Using USB Cable". most people searching for this are probably having some trouble doing the later, but this offers no help for their situation. and they just wasted time watching what obviously should be happening, captain.
I swear to God I've done this 1000 times and it's just not showing up on my PC...and now I think it's because my phone is locked lol. I hope that's all it is!
