    They ARE SOOOOO GOOD!!!! I was talking to my dad on the phone while I made them, while I was licking my fingers from all the coconut condensed milk yumminess!!! OMG! I can’t believe I never tried coconut condensed milk. I bought mine from Sprouts. I did two batches, one for 12 minutes, super delicious, but stuck to the bottom of the silicon mat. I let them rest before eating them too. The second batch I baked for 14 min and they came off sooo easily! Definitely making these again and again!!! Thank you sooooooo much for sharing!!! I also tried your donuts (I’m in Sacramento) my dad brought them here from Vegas. They were amazing!!! So especially after trying your donuts, I knew you had good taste so HAD to try your recipe!!!

    I had been wanting to try this recipe for some time now and i finally made it today. It’s the easiest dessert recipe when you are looking for something quick and somewhat healthy. They are absolutely delicious and my 4 yr old and husband loved them.
    I added oatmeal and used regular condensed milk just because it’s what I had in my pantry. I can imagine condensed coconut tastes better.
    Prompted me to make a cup of coffee to go with it. Thanks for the recipe !!

    I get so flustered with people getting overly judgmental of others trying to find joy in food who also deal with severe with allergies. Would I love to take a bite into a gluten filled, warm chocolate chip cookie??? OF COURSE!!!!!!! Are you kidding me??? But for whatever reason, my body doesn’t like many foods so I’ve got to be creative. These cookies are wonderful and beautiful and delicious and deserve to be told that everyday. Thank yew.

    I had these in the oven and went to drink my coffee and watch some you tube and this video popped up!! Hope they turn out good! I added apricots from what I saw people say in the comments of your shorts. Also, with the leftover condensed milk I pull two espresso shots and pour it over condensed milk and pour the drink back and forth between two cups for a minute until it’s well mixed and creamy texture. It’s called a pulled coffee and it’s so good! Let me know if you try it!!

    I looked up this recipe because i tried it based on your shorts but the long form content was superior in this instance, at least for me for tips on how to make it!! Loved how you talked about the texture of the "dough" and how much sweetener to add, also about how to scoop the cookies cuz that's where i was struggling!! I basically made delicious granola because i was so worried my cookies weren't sticking together. Well now I'll be ready next time!!

    Regular condensed milk holds better but both regular and coconut condensed milk work best if put into glass container in frig and grab as want a great sweet treat! I use 1/2c semi sweet and 1/2 c 70% choc chips. Easy to use a 1/4 cup to scoop and place on silpat. Cooling is key and Best cold in frig! Yum and in ❤ Thank you SO much for my new obsession🥰

    To make these fit my goals and budget, I did a cup of GF oats, a cup of pecan flour, a cup of walnut halves that I broke up with my fingers, a cup of coconut flakes, a cup of dark chocolate chips, and a whole can of condensed milk (coconut wasn't available). So yummy! This will be my breakfast for the week along with a hot ginger fire chai and a couple of cuties. Thank you so much for sharing this technique!

    -Dictionary definition of cookies: "a sweet *biscuit* having a fairly soft, chewy texture and typically containing pieces of chocolate or fruit."
    -Dictionary definition of biscuits: "a small baked unleavened ([of bread] made without yeast or other raising agent.) *cake* , typically crisp, flat, and sweet."
    -Dictionary definition of cakes: "an item of soft sweet food made from a mixture of *flour, fat, eggs, sugar* , and other ingredients, baked and sometimes iced or decorated."
    Your recipe contains no flour or eggs, which basically means your recipe is not considered as a cookie. But if you want to name it that way then it's up to you. It's your recipe, after all. The word "cookie" might stay in it's name but it is not considered as a cookie in general.
    But not gonna lie, this is an amazing recipe and I will definitely try it one day!

    Oh my goodness - those look absolutely delicious! My husband will LOVE these. He's not a fan of shredded coconut, but I don't think he'll mind the FLAKES. Not the lowest calorie cookie on the block. But hey, it's a cookie, right? LOL. To bake, I think I'll portion mine out into my silicone cupcake pan so they stay together, and no loose pieces go taking off (or if I make the fateful error of putting in too much condensed coconut milk). Thank you for doing the demo on how to make these. Plus I'll put in dried tart cherries, as I know he's not a fan of apricots. Now - you have to name these decadent goodies.

  • @tlvance3973
    @tlvance3973 6 місяців тому

    You can use most any dried fruits that you like, just as you say you can experiment with the nuts, or type of chocolate. You might try a Hawaiian style with macadamia nuts and pineapple, or Brazil nuts and candied papaya, or walnuts and figs, brandied cherries and almonds, the combos are endless. I hadn't heard of "coconut condensed milk". I'll keep an eye out. I think it's great for those who are lactose intolerant, or just love the added punch of coconut. Ignore the haters. This Florentine style is a classic that's been popular for centuries! But it's definitely akin to a small granola bar snack in cookie format (round palm sized treat).
