Same! There are some species that aren't as common in my area and I can buy online but I don't usually get to see the plant first as well as shipping can be outrageous.
I am in 7th heaven watching your videos. I watch for hours. I wish I lived in UK also just so I could get your kits. I live in US and just moved where I can’t get water for my plants accept by rain or well water . Rain this year so far has been a lot less than last year which was my first year in this location. Therefore I’ve reduced my # of manageable trees. I’ve started a new, younger enthusiast with a lot my trees. I hope he enjoys them as much as I do.
So so. Cute ,I have a Maple Tree that drops a lot of seed and I see little trees growing all the time. This time I will let them grow to make a forest. I did let 3 grow last summer and grew 2 ft in a couple of months and I cut the tops off so they stop growing and left them in the ground to develop their roots and wired them .I finally pulled them and they had very thick and long roots. Now they are in a pot. I can't wait to see the leaves again Thank you for your video 💖💖💖
Waiting for February to turn my rubbish malpighia cocciGera into a forest bonsai. It has fallen damaging its central trunk & sprouted numerous shoots , your videos have helped plan its salvaged journey
Greetings, I was wondering if it is possible to make a kabudachi or clump style tree form this DIY forest kit? Thank you for that great vibe, we're getting from those videos!
Normally you don't, but Peter being Peter actually did it anyway some time ago. It turned out rather nice. I don't remember the name of the video, sorry.
People in the UK are lucky to have Heron Bonsai. Over here in Canada we dont. So I have to source everything Peter shows you from scratch. If we had a store like this? I would have bought Peter a whole new greenhouse by now. But I can quit any time I want.
This feels like a silly question but do they require more water than a single tree? Or, do they stress easily due to the amount of trees in the pot? Thank you.
Iam sad I can’t buy from you, Iam in the United States. Could you recommend a Bonsai person or shop in the states? Thanks so much, I adore all your Bonsai’s.
Hi, can I make forest with just 3 or 4 trees? I think it's quite rare to see less than 5 trees in a forest bonsai Anyway, thank you for sharing more forest video Peter!
@@peterchan3100 yeah i have found 2 places through social media bonsai groups. they are both in the southern US tho. not really great for hardy maple or conifer trees. great for tropical stuff tho. just wondered if in your bonsai years you maybe knew of any good bonsai shops you trust in the US. thanks tho peter happy holidays
That cute robin seems to be becoming a mascot for you. I'm loving seeing him around
I wish I lived in the UK. Would definitely purchase your kits... 👍👍
Just buy locally separately shouldn't come to more than 20 or 30 quid

I'm glad you mentioned the dawn redwood being deciduous. I'd have freaked out this fall if I hadn't realized it by then! Haha.
Classic. You Sir, are a Bonsai factory, and a beautiful one at that, just like your miniature forests!

Perfect timing! I just watched the videos with Peter's cryptomeria forest and thought I might give a forest a try in the spring, with dawn redwood 🙂
Beautiful, all of the creations! Thank you for this wonderful video and the closing piano music is lovely. Peace and Blessings To You All!

Yes - just tie the trees together at the base to form a clump.
can you make a mixed forest ? I would love to see that !
Normally you don't, but Peter being Peter actually did it anyway some time ago. It turned out rather nice. I don't remember the name of the video, sorry.
They’re so beautiful, but how do they not get root bound?
Very good tutorial.
Feeling spoilt with all your videos Peter. Thank you so much.

So interesting. Thank you
Theres no one to replace Peter.
After watching Peter, I notice most other bonsai youtubers and think they are doing alot of things wrong!
Thank you 🍃🍁
This feels like a silly question but do they require more water than a single tree? Or, do they stress easily due to the amount of trees in the pot?
Thank you.
The amount of water needed depends largely on the pot size. Just water as you would normally do.
Any update on the shipping situation in the US?

Anyway, thank you for sharing more forest video Peter!
You could make a group planting with 3 or 4, I dont know if I would call it a forrest though. Un even numbers usually look best. (1-3-5-7-ect)
Three can work. Even numbers are avoided, traditionally, as odd numbers look less... artificial. They actually sell three tree plantings at Heron's
is it better to wait until spring to make a forest? and thank you Peter for your videos
Yes
Do you still sell these forest kits? Cant see them on your website?
Can't get maple sample in India. Very sad. Thank you Peter
I don't think maples would grow well in India, they need to go dormant every winter.
@@mchlbk It did grow it northeast part of India. Some people own it. I have seen two varieties in Shillong. 4 to 5 m tall.
That t-shirt you wearing, where to order them?
They have a selection on their website.
Can i have some of your maple sir peter.
it stinks we can not buy trees from you here in the conus. peter do you know any good places to buy bonsai material in the US?
