OnePlus did what they set out to do, disrupt the Android market. It was about $600 cheaper for the OnePlus 12 than the S24 Ultra. Is S24 Ultra worth that much more than the 12? I personally don’t think so.
Daylight: - s24 better HDR in front cam and Better skin tone - s24 has slightly better stabilization using telephoto other then that it's pretty much the same. Lowlight : - both struggling using the Front cam but OnePlus is controlling the noise better - main cam is looking good on both, highlights slightly better on s24 Mic is overall better on s24 ultra Conclusion: minor differences OnePlus is really killing it! You cannot justify the price gap.
I agree with all accounts except for the skin tone...he looked reddish in most of the s24 ultra day shots and there was excessive saturation almost with a red hue to environment
Front cam on the Samsung and stabilisation is clear but the back cam is almost the same pic quality wise, goes back and forth. Samsung use too much software instead of hardware making the photos look typical phone photos, for example making the sky so fake looking while One plus uses more of its hardware making pic look more natural. And must say night time looked better on the one plus but not in the wide lens. 3X telephoto lens on th one One plus is just better straight up, maybe the best 3x telephoto lens of them all and that needs to be said. Many UA-camrs are so afraid knocking Samsung And Iphone, no balls to say the truth when something else is better, it becomes almost silly.
3x and 6x is important because I think the 6x is a physical crop of the Pixels. 5x is a digital zoom on the onplus. If you chose 6x on both it might have given an advantage to OnePlus cuz the 6x would have been digital zoom on the Samsung.
What's the purpose of watching your review, when you're asking on and on which camera looks better? We are not there in those locations and you are there, so you have to tell us which one is better 😂
It's kind of, pretty much the same overall, if anything, your skin tone was slightly lighter on oneplus compared to s24u, but i guess that could be adjusted in the settings.
Just recently picked up the OnePlus 12 along with the OnePlus watch 2!! Both amazing devices. As a fellow OnePlus owner keep the videos coming for OnePlus 12!!!! Great video.
What really annoys me is the constant comparison between these two phones. One is cheaper by almost $500, OBVIOUSLY it won't be as good, you don't need a rocket scientist to figure that out. THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS, IS WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD AND WHAT MEETS YOUR NEEDS!!
True, but it's still considered a flagship and lots of people like to know what they're paying for and how it compares to the more pricier competition. For the price, I think it does a pretty good job even when compared to the competition.👍
One plus 3x tele lens is just better. Handle night shots with lot of noice better. Day time when it comes to pure pic quality is almost the same, Samsung use more software making the pic looking more fake looking, over contrasty while One plus use more hardware like it should be. So no, it's not clear that the Samsung is better bc of its price. When it comes to the phone itself. It's cheaper but has the same chip, it's cheaper but has a 10 bit screen while Samsung still uses 8bit, It's cheaper but has a brighter screen, its cheaper but has a better pixel density, it's cheaper but has a bigger screen, it's cheaper but has better resolution, its cheaper but has a bigger battery that also charge way faster, it's cheaper but it's smoother, it's cheaper but play games better......One plus just made a overall great phone and almost a perfect phone.
@Josh_Quinonez absolutely, I picked up a OP12 a couple of months back after doing my research and love everything about it. It ticks every single box according to my personal needs. Would I have taken an S24 or 15pro max if I could have afforded one? probably. My point being, there is a $500 difference. Therefore, there will be some tradeoffs... IP65 VS 68 being the biggest one for me. That being said tho , not a deal breaker worth 500 bucks. IMHO It would make sense to compare similarly priced devices to assist in the consumers' decision-making process. The "David VS Goliath" comparisons just stroke users' egos in both camps one way or the other. This is by no means an attack on you, Josh. I enjoyed the review. It is just my cents 😉.
Look, I'm an engineer, so I don't really get what you guys are saying. That One plus stabilization is terrible. The camera on that thing is ugly. I paid $299 for a 512gb version of the S24 Ultra by trading in my 4-year-old NOTE 20 Ultra. Battery size doesn't matter if the software optimization sucks. Some other UA-camrs have done tests, and it doesn't compare well. The only good thing is that they give you a charger. As for 100-watt charging, if you know anything about batteries, the high currents needed to charge them quickly can reduce energy efficiency and cause the battery to lose capacity and power faster. Fast charging is a complex issue, and you need to understand everything from the atomic level to the system level to really get it. Just think about why the two biggest phone companies, Samsung and Apple, both limit the charging capacity on their phones. These batteries don't like being charged quickly and getting hot.
Definitely the S24 Ultra here. Image clarity, contrast, colors, stabilization, audio clarity - all were stronger for the S24 Ultra. When it comes to just taking pictures, the OP12 can compete much more closely to the S24 Ultra. But it seems they still have a ways to go when it comes to video. But then again, it is $500 cheaper. Is that gap worth $500 dollars? Could be a "no" for a lot of people. Regardless, I'm excited to see how they improve and am looking forward to the OP13 next year.
So which Smartphone do you think did it better? Let me know! Thanks for watching! Don't forget to like and subscribe 👍

Oneplus 👍
Oneplus for sure. Hardware, battery, display completely the same. And of course fast charging on oneplus.
S24 ultra is better overall but oneplus 12 is so much cheaper that you kind of can't fault it
S24 ultra artificial sharpening is too much I think 🤮 OnePlus is more natural and pleasing to my eye.
i could pick the oneplus 12 anytime just bcz its so good !
It really is a great device especially for the price
S24 Ultra is definitely better but it's also double the price. I'm happy with my OnePlus 12
overall dark and color dynamic is Samsung for sure, OnePlus is sure a flagship killer with the Hasselbald lenses endorsement at this price point
Great review! I'm just so impressed with how the OnePlus 12 holds its own, especially at night!

Oneplus 12 colors seem more natural, while the galaxy seems to have saturated it.
Like the sky is never that blue.
The OnePlus seems to take a better picture. Samsung had better video but I'm starting to see an improvement in one plus this video as well
Oneplus 12 lens switching like Samsung? Was it changed on update? Before it was a slider
You can still slide if you press and hold
The indigestible truth for the Samsung users is OnePlus ditched the s24 ultra
OnePlus good
One plus 12 is beast

Who films in 30 FPS , what’s the point
A lot of people do. That's the point 👍
Just recently picked up the OnePlus 12 along with the OnePlus watch 2!! Both amazing devices. As a fellow OnePlus owner keep the videos coming for OnePlus 12!!!! Great video.
Yes! I definitely have lots more content coming for the OnePlus 👍 I have a full playlist of videos on the channel as well. Link in the description.
Pause the video at 5 : 18 and check how saturated the sky is
The Oneplus is so damn close to the S24 Ultra for like $600 less is crazy, some shots were even better
Very true
Oneplus 12 video and picture colors are much more natural looking.
Well according to price tag - one plus nailed it.❤
It would be the S24 Ultra for me. It look slightly better in most situation
Agreed
S24u has better stabilization and telephoto range. But not $600 better
yeah... but it's not worth 600€ more for that "slightly better "

Let me answer. Should I buy a used S24 Ultra or get a New OnePlus 12. These videos are for consumers like us.
if only s24u had IR BLASTER i would choose it in a heartbeat
you can buy a dslr with the price difference they have
Why you keep changing where the phones are confused me
I kept them as they were when I recorded each clip. That is why I put the names at the bottom so you would know which is which without confusion 👍
