Great review! Just started collecting 'budget' watches about a year ago and amazed at all of the small, passionately crafted and designed yet accessible watches around the globe - new to Namica - it's on the list now! Subscribed!
Most microbrands really offer genuine value for specs and often, like in the case here, bold design choices. And I love that it's not likely you'll run into anyone wearing the same watch...makes it feel custom for you!
@@WatchWitt Case will definitely be the brushed. I'm leaning towards the Neo Tokyo, but do really like both the Kiriyami and Turbo blue. Voted for the Kanji dial for the additional stretch goal so hopefully that wins and that will be the one
Yeah, I didn't mention the similarities to G-Shock, other than the "80's digital watches and TVs," but I think G-Shock lovers AND haters can dig this one.
@@WatchWitt I think this watch would look great with either casual clothing or a full suit of samurai armour. Nice to see Namica building an original identity. I recently built a watch using a black pvd case and had a similar paranoid condensation episode to you. It took me ages to figure out that light from above was reflecting off the rehaut and dispersing around the chamfered edge of the sapphire crystal. I was temporarily gutted and thought I was going to have to take the watch apart to wipe off the crystal. But then I realized it was all an illusion. Funny how the mind plays tricks.
Haha! Yeah, it happened to me a few times! So I figured I might as well mention it. I like to point out good/bad things that I come across while wearing watches...little nuances.
Ahhhh! I didn't even know...new upload process and apparently it defaults to "off!" Thanks for pointing it out, I fixed it...and thanks for the compliment!
I really, really, really love the neon tokyo variant. From a distance I feel like I'm looking at toy watch with sticker dial and hands. Kinda reminds me of such toy watch when I was a kid. But the price even if its at U$4xx is hard for the poor me if I change it to my country's currency. 😂 Guess I can only window shopping at it. 😅
Window shopping is still fun! That's what most of us do on UA-cam anyway. But maybe you can find this used in a couple of years and still enjoy at a lower price!
Haha yea... How does a kickstarter actually works? Do they immediately deduct the amount in bank after pledge, or after the deadline? If it is on the deadline, then I think I will manage this.
@rubina6327 Once you pledge to back the project (at whatever reward you choose) the money is not charged until the end of the campaign, if the minimum goal is reached.
I forgot to mention the water resistance! Even with the revised screw down crown these will be rated at 100 meters.
That Neo Toyko is something else 😮
It really is! That color way is definitely a part of their legacy.
Good reviews, I enjoy your review style and coverage of features
Thanks for your kind words...I hope you continue to enjoy my videos!
Pretty cool. I like that Neo Tokyo version.
The Neo Tokyo is going to be their flagship variant...they can't NOT make a watch with that color/design flair in the future!

Gaon 1 was a aa àààpq1ppapqàà
This watch is amazing. The purple is just beautiful 😍
The purple is fantastic. 2024 is shaping up to be the year of the purple dial, but this isn't NAMICA's first go at it!
Wonderful looking design
Definitely making a name for themselves in the microbrand world!
Got in on the early bird and just added the Ti bracelet. Cannot wait for this watch
Going to be cool! Which color dial and case are you going to get?

@davidmcspadyen7810 Awesome! I'm thinking the Kanji dial will win, but who knows.
Great looking watch!
A little different, yet very familiar!
Very cool 😎 😎 👍🏽👍🏽
NAMICA has another winner on their hands....or, uh....on our wrists!
They look awesome!
Seek out the turbo blue color too...very vivid!
Outstanding as well! Arigato!
It's a beauty for sure! And Dōitashimashite!
Beautiful looking watches!
They did a great job designing this one!
@@WatchWitt And you did a great job with the review, as always!
@@JoeBananas3Ahhh, thanks Joe!
Cool! An analogue G-Shock 5600E.

Amazing
They've done it again...! These will go quick. Wears so well!

Nei Tokyo is so cool looking
The combination is fantastic! I can't wait to see the minute track appear a little more green, too.
Why do you hide like count? BTW your videos are great!

I missed the early bird but contemplating the ks deal
Have to consider if all those stretch goals will come to fruition, too. Lots of extras!
They've opened up more Early Bird slots. :)
@@shamanprime 😱
...and stretch goals for extra dial color and now a bracelet have been unlocked too!
Gosh darn, these are attractive.
It wears so well, too. This case shape is a dream.
Just found you on Watch Crunch
Yeah...I followed you there...hadn't seen you on WC before, but I'm in and out pretty randomly.
Wow
23 hours left to the Kickstarter. They've unlocked all kinds of extras. Pretty slick watch!
if this was a bit smaller... damn my tiny wrist
Oooh, too bad! It does wear similar to a G-Shock square as far as the sizing "look," though.
