Tbh might as well have been a quartz with no second hand. Could have been slimmer and more accurate. With no display case back it's a bit of a bizarre choice to have an auto.
Rolex, Omega and Tudor often don't display movement and it is not perceive as a bizarre choice. I think in this case scenario it makes perfectly sense.
Agree. I need to know how many seconds there are left before midnight. I go to sleep exactly at midnight and if I am off by 60 seconds, my body goes out of rhythm.
Well, everyone has a opinion and i see many people wanting or missing the second hand and asking for quartz. However, as a watch collector and enthusiast i have seen many watches and this one is (near) perfect as is in my eyes. Quartz would make it less desirable, but it wouldn't be wrong if they would have that option for the customer. Yet, the second hand missing is a stroke of genius. It goes perfectly well into the minimalistic design. Just the brand logo and 2 hands. i love it. Think about it, does it matter if the time is 15:40,12 or 15:40, 38 ? Without distractions its clean and simple easy legible telling the 15:40 time. This is style and elegance. The bracelet all brushed, superb this way. I ordered it and it will be immediately within my 3 top picks. I prefer this over a Rolex, no joke! Who wants to come across a snob wearing a € 20k watch ? Especially considering the way Rolex deals with their customers shows red flags all over. The Arsenale is not cheap, but certainly affordable for a enthusiast. Easy to maintain / service the Miyota movement. This watch to me is spot on! My 3rd Venezianico watch and it will not be my last with offerings like these.
no doubt its quality, but looks like something a pimp in the 70's would wear or perhaps a catholic priest to an exorcism. I do like it, but couldn't wear it even though I love purple.
I have a few vens and they are beautiful. This is the minimalist which looks so classy but is priced 500 above true value. They fumbled on the 5 yard line.
I have many Venezianico pieces in my collection and enjoy a good relationship with them as a brand and business. Whilst I would love to support this new model, and believe it is a gorgeous watch; unfortunately I think I’ll have to wait until some iterative changes are considered: - Seconds hand, (high-beat movement deserves some sweep on the dial). - Lume. - Water resistance, (only 50m despite screw-down crown, and same screwed-in caseback as the Nereide).
This is weird! They should reconsider their decision not to include half links. You only know whether you need half links or not after you've tried on the watch. Do they expect their customers to make an extra purchase after they've received their watches and tried them on? Or to order them with the watch just to find out I actually don't need them? 🤔
@@ilikewatches as good as this looks, it's still a stretch to pay $800 for a middling Myota movement, thin or not. I'd much prefer a Swiss movement for that price range. And I need a seconds hand for this style of watch. But kudos for the well done video. Captured the colors very nicely.
You’re not wrong it’s stunning. It’s just ever so slightly expensive. I think you would already have to be a fan of the brand. Thanks for showing it to us!
Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Agreed with many of the comments, utterly bizarre decision to to use an automatic movement without a seconds hand. Should make a version with a high quality quartz movement.
Drop the auto movement and make it a quartz, because why pay for an auto if you don't get any of the benefits? It's pretty in a "I-own-a-stripclub-in-essex" kind of way.
That movement is already well decorated, I think they missed the opportunity for a display caseback, even keeping the engraving on a customized rotor. With 5atm wr, I don't even think this would sacrifice that much in thickness. And at least the "make one in quartz" tribe would have nothing to say.
Selling half-links separately is awful. I won't know if I need one until I try it on, so potentially the doubles the time and cost of shipping. If I don't buy one, and then sell the watch in ten years, the new owner might struggle to get hold of one if they need it. That's the kind of selfishness that turns me off a brand forever.
Venezianico interesting brand. A lot of their watches scream flashiness, which sometimes works...sometimes doesn't. In this style of dressy sports watch I would say yes it works. Not having a seconds hand though is a bit of an odd choice because it's an automatic. Still feels a bit much for the overall package too. Kinda wish they would have gone with the current trend of downsizing and gone with maybe a 38mm for the size. But it is a good looking watch TBH.
Yeah at this price there are a few inflated price Seikos i'd be looking at or lower end Swiss/ German. I appreciate the quality movement but too many other compromises (no half links, butterfly clasp, no seconds hand) and brands needs to know what they are up against at certain price ranges. I think this is $100-$300 too high. Should be in Tissot and Hamilton price range.
Your excellent videography makes this watch a thirst trap. That dial in that color is ridiculous, but is $200-$300 overpriced. What camera are you using for such vivid colors?!
what looks like a blanking plug in the minute hand where it fits on the shaft (have fun with that comment fake AI reviews) is unusual and so well integrated it looks great
closed hole because no 3rd hand is not unusual or even uncommon, that being said taking 2 microbrand watches and making them into one is for AliExpress, venezianico should not make a miyota homage for 1k, disappointing release
I like almost everything they have done here apart from not having a seconds hand. I get them choosing to not have a large seconds hand but this design is crying out for a small seconds to my eyes. I guess its the choice of movement / thickness limitations. It will divide opinion I feel...purple rain
Love everything about it, except for the diameter. The thin profile, small and plain indices, and small bezel make the dial look massive. I guess that was intentional, but there a lot of empty space
-bad bracelet articulation -no micro adjust or half links -no lume -no seconds hand w/mechanical movement -50m WR Sorry, but for the price they are asking, this is crazy town prices. Easy pass.
Gorgeous dial, but I hate having no seconds hand - drives me crazy always having to wonder "is it really running?". (I also hate integrated bracelets, but that's just me. I wish that trend would go away.)
Ugliest color of all the ones they offer. The hour hand is too short the minute hand is too long this thing is a hot mess. So many other options out there in micro brand world. Ditto to all the comments about the no second hand and quartz being a better match etc
Remember when you didnt have to re mortgage you're house to buy micro brands...Yeah me too its nice but id rather grab a second hand or new longines or breitling or tag etc O do think its beautiful but they punching above their weight and bit of a wasted movement no caseback to show it off or a seconds hand im impressed but im also not if you get me 😅😅
@giusepperocchi2979 still, it's nice to see. It's well decorated enough too. For many, this might be their choice of luxury watch and they would want to have the movement on display
Their catalogue is full of rolex inspired watches. and this is nautilus inspired. Man j dont buy any of their bs "story". This reminds me of philipo loretti. Overpriced "italian design" but made in gyna
I know it's all funny and whatever but I feel like reviewers have a responsibility to correctly say the brand name if they're presenting a product someone wants me to spend $800+ on. Now it's like Republicans intentionally mispronouncing Kamala's name solely to be disrespectful and rude.

Quartz is unfortunately seen as undesirable by many.
@@zetachaox And also, not every auto has a display case back, and they do just fine.
Indeed, display casebacks are overused, entirely unecessary and an unfortunate fixture of the past decade+ of mid-lowend Swiss watch making, IMHO

i prefer this subtle fluting around the case/bezel to the Rolex version
I think that would be a coin-edge bezel
Agreed with many of the comments, utterly bizarre decision to to use an automatic movement without a seconds hand. Should make a version with a high quality quartz movement.
Agreed as per comment below re. the coin edge on the bezel - really helps set this watch off - they really know how to design watches!
Stunning watch it really is. I’m looking for a watch in this price bracket but just not sure it’s this one. Fantastic review as always Gary!
Outstanding video.I have to go with the AMZWATCH, especially with that green dial as my favorite
Beautiful finishing, great looking dial and I love the coin edge around the bezel
Love the watch, superb design and right up my alley, but couldn't hack that colour at all. The dark blue is lovely though 👍👍
IMHO it’s a great looking watch and even more classy without the second hand.

They arent a Microbrand!
They have dozen of retailers around the world that sell their watches.
Beautiful mechanical dress watch with 9mm thick miyota movement. The bezel is unique, plain polished & tapered down with “fluted” or “coin edge” 🎉
@@MokChweeSeah-v9v nothing unique its Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda heavily "inspired"

nice new PARMIGIANI FLEURIER
ahh yes, the tomato and cheese chicken schnitzel flour watch for $27,000 AUD (used).... makes Tandorio sound great!
I will say. It is beautiful
Great case and bracelet, but the branding reminds me of something I'd find on a mystery shirt in TK Maxx

I’ll take a look, thanks

Grimace too
What a waste of an auto movement. Just go Swiss quartz or any quartz for that matter.
👊
Exactly
When I saw how thin it was and only 2 hands, I assumed it was quartz.
Batteries pollute, mechanical has soul
Agree. Super pointless and inaccurate
Silk Cut!
Not having a cross as the prominent thing on my watch. This is a message watch. This isn't the age of the crusades.

Not for me personally. It looks rather bland, but then again, I prefer busy dials.
It’s not busy but I thinks it’s beautiful…some will say bland 😂
@@ilikewatches 😂 For a bland dial, I confess it's more attractive than a lot that I've seen.

Good looking watch. Problem with European made micro brand watches is that they have to price them to keep up with European labor.
Gorgeous dial, but I hate having no seconds hand - drives me crazy always having to wonder "is it really running?". (I also hate integrated bracelets, but that's just me. I wish that trend would go away.)
Needs 2 more colors to capture the imagination: blood red, and brushed yellow gold.
No second hand would drive me nuts. I like to know at a glance that my watch is still running.

" Only built 4 Cuban links" vibes , amazing dial
to say that if it doesn't have a second hand it might as well be a quartz is absurd. Piaget and Patek also make watches with two hands. well?
Excellent homage (but not "clomage") of the Tonda.
