Lamar being “made” by the pro bowlers around him is a double edged sword. Would Derrick have the numbers without defenses having to keep a man on Jackson? Would Zay flowers? Would Likely, Bateman, or Andrews? Would the Ravens be in the position they are now without Jackson? Would they have had that same success with Allen? I would be curious to see the difference between the teams numbers if you swap Allen’s stats with Jackson’s. Would Allen’s season be overlooked in that situation? No one player is every aspect of their stats. The players of this Bills team all stepped up in a way that was necessary for this seasons outcome and the same for the Ravens.
Lamar had the fourth best single season passer rating ever, his TD's outnumbered int's 10-1 (I thought 2019 was great), he outrushed Allen by 384 yards, highest qbr and passer rating in the league and most yards per attempt (8.8) over every other QB including those who had less than 40 passes. He led the league in rushing yards per attempt with 6.6, first QB to throw for more than 4,000 yards and rush for over 900. His 4,100+ yards passing was on a team that had the most yards rushing in the league and the second most of any NFL team in a season ever. He tied Roethlesberger with the number of perfect passer rating games, broke Vick's record of career rushing yards by a QB and climbed up to third all time in career passer rating. Imo, if one of the others in the running had those numbers last season they should have won the MVP but this year Lamar was the best. If someone responds with 'well what has he done in the playoffs?' we all know and Ravens fans know there was plenty of blame to go around. If I wasn't a Ravens fan I'd like to see Lamar get a ring just as many, including myself, we're happy to see Elway and Peyton get their rings.
If you give Alan a bump because of the talent around him, then you need to give Lamar a bump for the schedule he played. Eight and three against teams with the winning record versus two and three against teams with their winning record. It’s not even close.
if you looking at numbers its not even close tbh but because he won it 2 times this so stupid to say but they have to give it to Josh because of his situation
This man said 106 fewer snaps like it meant something. Lets not act like Lamar didn't sit time out. Trubusky has 26 attempts and 17 carries and their third string had 11 attempts. We can assume they ran the ball as well but cmon man, what an empty stat to try and boost Allens numbers. Allen 585 attempts/runs, Lamar 613 attempts/runs. He had 28 more snaps where the ball was in his hands, say that next time.
Alotta times the ravens practically ran the ball the entire 4ty quarter with Henry but would still keep Lamar in just case becuz the defense was so bad. An basically the reason Lamar had to stay in the whole game was cuz the defense was horrific. So if anything that is more of a supporting argument for Lamar
SNAPSS!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!??? They are getting so desperate with these crazy arguments when Lamar has made history multiple ways!!! Where is Josh Allen historic stats.?
@Bigvulcha Well they don't want to use stats as a factor, So they can make a better argument by not using record as a factor. That's my point slow man.
I am a 73 yo female Whois not a fanatic about football and enjoy watching. I wish they didnot have an MVP every year because there is so many great players, but watching a lot of film of Lamar Jackson I realized there is no body out there in the history of football like him. I do not know the football vocabulary to describe him, but when watching him you can see he is special.
Jackson beat Allen in passing yards, passing touchdowns, interceptions, rushing yards, and QBR. The only personal stat where Allen had the upper hand was rushing touchdowns. Usually, having a good running back lowers your passing yards. Yet Jackson still outperformed Allen. Jackson also had fewer games with a passer rating under 75. I live in the Buffalo area. Josh Allen is a great Quarterback. He's just up against a guy on a Peyton Manning-type run. Josh will win at some point. He just came up short this year.
Honestly, neither Lamar or Josh are wrong choices as the MVP. Both made very solid cases and it’s just about how much one person values one thing over another, like strength of schedule, talent around them including skill positions and lineman, individual statistics, head to head, and whatever else you want to consider. As a ravens fan, I don’t have a problem with Josh winning it. I’d just rather see Lamar win it because Bills fans are hilariously delusional. They’re lobbying harder for Josh Allen than big companies do in DC.
No debate. First ever to throw over 40 TDs with less than 5 ints. Fourth highest passer rating ever and 900 rushing yards on top of that. One of the greatest seasons in NFL history. Josh was great this yr but not historically great.
@@freemarley639 I have Lamar as my MVP too but if you’re going bring up rushing yards, you also bring up fumbles. Can’t only mention INTs. Up until Week 18 where Allen sat, the TD:Turnover ratio is basically the same. Saying there’s no debate is just being naive and skewing the award’s criteria to mean exactly what you want it to be. There’s clearly a debate and thinking otherwise is intentionally naive. Strength of schedule is a much better argument for Lamar imo than anything statistical. Highlighting Josh Allen has an elite O-line and a very good RB as well also is a better argument than simply saying “oh look at these total stats”. Point stands, there’s a debate to be had if you’re not being biased.
not really when Lamar sat out at least 5 4th as well & is putting up historical 1st stats that are video game lvl. I'm curious, how many of those fumbles were from sacks in the pocket vs. from a run? (I judge em different) Also can Josh fans, for once, acknowledge having 4 bad gms this season hurts your chances? Lamar doesn't have a 9-30 passing gm, multi pick no TD gm & mid gms vs. bottom tier teams like NE.
This guy with the old narrative if you watch Lamar Jackson from day one he never just took off and ran. He also had the ideal “ stand tall, like a statue” presence
Sorry, but should't the opponents they played in the regular season and their record against them matter? I'm saying this to remind people that Lamar played 10 games vs playoff teams and had 7:3 record while Josh played just five games vs playoff teams and he had 2 wins and 3 losses. Based on that I'd say that Lamar had tougher opponents than Josh and he had a better record. Oh, and BTW, at least one of these losses could have been avoided had Ravens' kicker made pretty doable field-goals. If my memory serves me well, he missed two field-goals in Pittsburgh where they lost by two points, which means that had that game had different outcome it would leave The Steelers at home and allow The Bengals to advance to the post-season. And what Josh's previous 40+ touchdown seasons have to do with this season's voting?
Pete. Cooks has 1k rushing and is tied for league lead with 16 tds. Stop the more with less when Josh has 6 games in his division against bottom feeders.
Pete’s mad because usually the aps that vote for all pro vote for mvp. And Lamar had 31 to joshes 18 and the mvp odds flipped over night Pete’s mad and the rest of the media is cuz their guy is going to lose the mvp and lose in the playoffs.
What people don't realize is that they give the MVP to winners, and the Ravens couldn't even beat the Raiders or the Browns to secure the 2 seed, Lamar is All Pro and Allen is MVP and it's not even close.
I see your true color shining through "Pete". How can you have Josh winning it over 3 weeks ago, when all the games weren't finished being played? You just don't like LJ. We see it!!
These reporters "Wishing" the MVP vote was after the post season for a regular season MVP tells you they don't understand the scope of the award. Regular season MVP
It's so ignorant to say what Lamar has done to keep the Ravens in the playoffs is not the most valuable to an organization. You mean to tell me doing less than what he did has more value??? He nearly threw 0 ints, that came by 3 drops and a WR stoping on a route, on top of doing multiple things no player has ever done in history. Having pro bowlers on your roster doesn't guarantee the team is better, most let the team record decide what teams are better. They never put in context the difference in scheduling and division strengths. It's not equal at all. The AFC North has always been one of the hardest divisions and even in the beginning of the season they were all saying the Ravens were not going to be as good as they were last year and they weren't. Lamar had to do more to make the playoffs and it was historically good. Allen didn't. That's what makes Lamar more valuable.
Lamar has d henry in backfield and gotten alot of help to get stats this year, josh allen doesn't have that and still has great stats that's my reasoning for him to be mvp
Lamar is making plays by extending the play well beyond the first route runs. If you look at the tapes, clearly Lamarkable is just that. The newly established records back up the replay analysis, as well.
Lamar won mvp by playing late in a games stat padding against the tanking giants then played average against a bunch of teams playing their worst football of season , allen earned mvp by putting up 40 4 games in row against 3 playoff teams and a healthier 49ers team in a snow storm, he lost mvp bc he played so good in games he sat out in drives in 11 games , lamar been putting up mediocre stats untill 4 quarters in games were hes getting garbage timevyards against prevent like the first steelers games or hes staying late in games they have in the bag to stat pad, we all watchef that Cleveland game, they were trying so hard to stat pad he stayed in game so late

Okay make it 6😂😂 yall doing everything in yall power to give a stat/team award to a man who doesnt have the stats and the narrative yall placed on this man 😂😂😂😂 Allen isn’t the MVP now go cry in the corner. A number one seed win still counts as 1 point dude in the win column. Y’all delusional and it’s hilarious this shit isn’t close and has never been lolol.
What’s funny also. The last 3 years he haven’t had over 30 passing tds. They started the tush push with Josh when they started to take diggs out of the offense in late 2022. Diggs knew that those short yard goal line tds purpose was for that why he wanted out. Those last 2 years in each of the last 8 games. Diggs had 2 tds combined and Josh had 15 rushing tds combined. That’s all you need to know there
Sounds like a career accomplishment and not a reason to win mvp in a singular season. Bills fans are delusional 😂😂
@@RavensTheNextDynastyDo we really want to start comparing lifetime stats? BILLS fans won't like that either. Lamar has the most total perfect passer rating games in history now, the most rushing yards for a qb in a season, tied with the most perfect passer rating games in a season, and most rushing yards ever for a qb and he did it 7 years. Now let the real stat gurus pull out more but these stats show how dangerous of a dual threat qb he is and if he hadn't sat out 4th quarters he would have over 1000 yards rushing and easily over 50 TDs total.
@@drchrisheidelberg yea they are nuts

Well Josh, maybe next season
Nope mv4 for Lamar 😂
Looks like Pete was about to pee in his pants😂😂😂

@@KingLee444lol fuk wrong with em that’s why I love the nfl the best is the best period
No Josh has to earn it!! It shouldn't be gifted because the deserving player already has multiple. They lost as soon as they used that as an argument out loud.
He talking bout snap count like lamar hasn't sat out some 4th quarters lololol
MV3 on the way! Told you Josh glazing clowns 🤡 🤣
Lamar has the craziest Glazers in the history of the NFL

Lamar choked in the big game AGAIN, told you Lamar glazing fools, He's not on Josh's level. Had the better team and LOST. Sit TF down.

Pete mad as hell
First... lol i know yall mad lamar got that 1st team all pro

MVP is a reg season award.
Good thing too, because Lamar is the James Harden of the NFL. A playoff CHOKER
lol he had less snaps but more pass attempts. Makes sense.
Pete is so hurt that he probably was crying because he keeps blinking his eyes...🥺🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
Look at the disappointment on Pete Pissco's face... poor fool voted for Allen and is sorely disappointed.
So, just so I'm clear, we need to count the stuff that Allen could have done.
Now they trying push offensive payer of the year on lamar😂😂😂
Using snaps is the wildest stretch in stat history lol
If you give Alan a bump because of the talent around him, then you need to give Lamar a bump for the schedule he played. Eight and three against teams with the winning record versus two and three against teams with their winning record. It’s not even close.
Mv3
Maybe apply the criteria consistently. Allen would have the 2023 trophy and Jackson the 2024 trophy.
if you looking at numbers its not even close tbh but because he won it 2 times this so stupid to say but they have to give it to Josh because of his situation
I know right? its not a team award
LaMV3🎱🎱🎱
A wrong Pete Pricsco Pick as usual.
SNAPSS!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!??? They are getting so desperate with these crazy arguments when Lamar has made history multiple ways!!! Where is Josh Allen historic stats.?
They could make A.
Better argument with joe barrow. Against Lamar.
If record wasn’t a factor but it is
@Bigvulcha Well they don't want to use stats as a factor, So they can make a better argument by not using record as a factor. That's my point slow man.
Vegas knew what they were doing by not changing the odds before the All Pro teams were announced.
Prisco and his "snap count" bit reminded me of the old Allen Iverson "practice" bit. "Practice...you talkin about PRACTICE". Snap counts. tff
He also has more throws than Lamar jack ass and teammates have never been an issue for an MVP UNTIL THIS YEAR
Plus Ravens smacked the Bills 35-10
Derrick Henry
AND STILL REIGNING NFL MVP LAMAR JACKSONNNNNN
Josh Allen is the mvp.
AFC east week division though
@ if you notice in my comment, there’s this phrase “strength of schedule”. That encompasses having a weak division.
I'm curious, how many of those fumbles were from sacks in the pocket vs. from a run? (I judge em different)
Also can Josh fans, for once, acknowledge having 4 bad gms this season hurts your chances?
Lamar doesn't have a 9-30 passing gm, multi pick no TD gm & mid gms vs. bottom tier teams like NE.
When Allen had prime Diggs, a stacked defense, and a great o-line.... he still didnt have Lamars season this year
This stuff is not postseason awards!
Allen had way better stats than lamar last year and lost
Buddy Mad AF!!! 😂😂😂
Take Josh of the bills and take Lamar of the ravens
Which team still makes the playoffs
Neither 😂😂.... ravens defense was bottom of the league the first ten weeks. That and no Lamar equals top 5 pick
Pete is admitting that he is using projected numbers that Allen did not actually achieve lol
This guy with the old narrative if you watch Lamar Jackson from day one he never just took off and ran. He also had the ideal “ stand tall, like a statue” presence
MV3 Lamar they hate on him because he's just the greatest 😂😂😂❤❤
Like LJ8 Is MVP & Shaqon offensive player of the year simple
That tells you all you need to know about Lamar Winning his 3rd MVP this season. Of not its a obvious robbery
It's not hard at all MV3 💯
People talking about playoff wins and scoring! Allen had davis and diggs
Pete’s mad because usually the aps that vote for all pro vote for mvp. And Lamar had 31 to joshes 18 and the mvp odds flipped over night Pete’s mad and the rest of the media is cuz their guy is going to lose the mvp and lose in the playoffs.
I don't care about the MVP I just Lamar to win the championship
Lamar season is historical for a QB!!!!!!!!
This Pete character and his bullshit arguments 😂
😂😂😂😂 there face says it all Lamar Jackson will win offensive player of the year and mvp watch
i make an argument for why Jared Goff nor Jayden Daniels aren't considered for MVP if the V is what's more important
Don’t forget that the ravens beat the hell out of the bills😊
saquon rushed for 2k yards the fact they didnt mention him at all makes it clear the mvp is a qb award
Lamar has d henry in backfield and gotten alot of help to get stats this year, josh allen doesn't have that and still has great stats that's my reasoning for him to be mvp
No way should lamar get mvp... everyone said they would be sb contenders, and everyone said bills would miss playoffs
Lamar Jackson, Not bad for a wide receiver
Yeah Pete is sick lol 100% voting for Allen
Lamar Jackson is the MVP
Lamar is making plays by extending the play well beyond the first route runs. If you look at the tapes, clearly Lamarkable is just that.
The newly established records back up the replay analysis, as well.
The 1st TEAM AP QB SHOULD B THE MVP 😂
How could not vote for him as All PRO when he broke all these records
Snaps 😂😂😂. If he’s played less snaps he probably has a pretty good roster
Strength of schedules wasnt really mentioned..or the hEAD to hEAD game results..Bottomline: Josh had weaker opponents on his schedule. Ravens had a much tougher schedule! bECAUSE of Lamar, King Henry had the easiest 1800+ yrd season he's seen! Too much for a defense to account for..The LJ passes the EYE TEST..period.
What does 5 seasons of achievement, have to do with this seasons mvp?
Josh’s case they have to add in past seasons, and talk about PROJECTED STATS that he didnt achieve. Super ass pull all respect to josh but the time for coulda shoulda woulda was DURING THE SEASON. Stop it yall. Lamar gettin it
We are supposed to be men who are logical and dont act off
emotion. Im a bills. Let's be logical ... last year we all admit Stats wise allen was better lamar won mvp with the lamest numbers we have seen ... fine .... if josh had ravens offense and lamar had bills offense, you all would be saying he has a 2,000 yard rusher he has all the pros and looks who lamar has mat freaking hollins lol come on now
