I remember my first playthrough, making it to Colgera, and thinking:

I love that bosses actually have life bars in this game and BOTW, whereas in the older games you had to just keep wailing on bosses until they finally died.
That’s not true…. They had a three rotation attack pattern. It changed its pattern on the second and the third was the final.
@@taraspikeyhelton Yeah most of the bosses had that attack pattern, but that doesn't count as a life bar. Unless you were experienced fighting the boss in question, you still didn't know how much longer the fight would last even with that pattern. My point was that now the bosses and enemies have regular health bars to give you an idea of where you are in the fight.
Lol Zelda games have always been 3 hit bosses, some in stages but for the most part it's sequences of 3's. Ocarina of time is a perfect example
@@dalex2014 Yeah, the tradition back then was to use the item found in that dungeon to stun the boss and then the sword to inflict damage, usually about 2-3 rounds before changing its pattern. The formula hasn't changed that much, except now you're using sages' abilities instead of items. Come to think of it, Z2 TAoL had visible life bars for bosses. For some reason they didn't use them again until BOTW.

They really decided to turn Yunobo into a drug lord as a boss fight.
This is why I love the game.

I like to think all of the Titles of the bosses are from Link's perspective, so that one is Link saying "That's not Yunobo."

Im serious colgeras soundtrack is so amazing i forgot to use the glider and dyed from fall damage cause to much vibing

Isn’t it crazy to know that some people like me think the exact opposite? I thought Colgera’s soundtrack was so bad that I was determined to do whatever it took to get through the fight quickly.
As for the reason I think Colgera soundtrack is bad, when I hear boss music, I want my energy to flow, my adrenaline to rush, and my blood to pump, and Colgera’s theme missed the mark very badly.
I'm truly sorry for anybody who got spoiled by the thumbnail, I'm lucky I beat the game before seeing this.
Interesting thing that happened during the Phantom Ganon fight. When the phantom died at 39:29, it dropped a gloom club. Even though it was wielding a gloom sword. I would assume this is because the game told all of the phantoms to start using gloom clubs, which changed their drop table while the specific one I mentioned was dying.
Edit: This also happened at 40:17, although it was with the gloom spear instead.
The ones in the throne room drop whatever weapon they are currently using at that time. You were right. The game had swapped the loot tables, and that specific one died before it could swap
For me, it was Possessed Yunobo; Moragia; and Marbled Gohma, Sludge Like and Mucktorok, Colgera, the two Gibdo tower defense minigames and Queen Gibdo, Seized Construct, Phantom Ganon, and the Demon King’s Army in that order.
56:47 In my school vr game, normal health bars are safer because Goalius has the ability to use those types of health bars like a weapon and each hit doubles the damage
You know I nice detail I noticed about the seized construct its head actually somewhat resembles the fused shadow that midna wore in twilight princess its even faded on one side to match the color too
I really liked how Ganondorf's final form bears a striking resemblance to Demise, since the game has such a strong connection to Skyward Sword.
You can actually use the recall ability and slow down time and you can actually do more damage to marbled gohma

Well, I feel that it makes lighting more special. I loved all of the temples...apart from water because it felt a bit stale, and queen gibdo was what made lightning so memorable.
After beating the fire temple I got a container heart and I got the fire element as well as my first guardian

Most of the temple bosses are pretty easy......except for Queen Gibdo. It could be a skill issue but I died to Queen Gibdo more than all of the other temple bosses combined times 2.

Colgera’s fight and music theme are a joke. Then we have Queen Gibdo, whose music is decent and whose fight is genuinely difficult.
However, I have a tip for said fight. Once the gibdo hives start spawning gibdos, you can actually use Bomb flowers to destroy them instead of just relying on Riju’s lightning.
Me personally, Ganondorf made me want to jump of a 10 story building

Yunobo is a pretty easy boss I beat him on my first try and I beat moragia on my first try and I also beat marbled gohma in the fire temple on my first try
Yunobo is more of a playable cutscene that you can't really fail unless you go to him first. Moragia is a similar story but has some AWESOME cinematics.
I discovered that chu chu jelly does the same thing as splash fruit
when i saw colgera in the trailer i thought he was some large advanced boss and i was a bit doubtful i would defeat it. turned out it was the easiest
While also being one of the scariest and coolest. If you try to do a minimum health run of totk, he is SCARY!

Looking back at this game I can say with certainty Sidon was the least useful sage in the boss battles😭

So I have a theory on draconification (probably not the best place to say it but fuck it)
How I think draconification works is it removes oneself expect for their Morals/Objective, I'm saying this due to the dragon battle with the light Dragon seemingly wanting to protect link and hyrule kingdom and the Demon Dragon wanting to destroy and rule hyrule in its original Chaos, so I think it destroys the body but keeps the objective
the whole point is that it removes your body in exchange for immortality, it keeps your memories and stuff tho, like it doesnt make you BRAINDEAD
The said one was so much harder the first time i fight him by the time i found him in the depths again i was way more experienced and knew how to cheese him

This final boss is way better than Breath of the Wild I just wish they kinda did a lil better for Demon Dragon fight but again it's still better than his Beast form final.boss fight in Breath of the Wild
The fight is only cinematic was in Botw too but they should have done something aganst bow cause with it it is just too easy again

@@ulrikebeckmann4986 It wasn't too easy at all and the Dark Beast Ganon fight in BotW was and is supposed to be a cinematic climactic end to the game and story. It's the same way with the Demon Dragon in TotK and it works fantastically. Ganondorf was already hard enough, the Demon Dragon is the climactic end it doesn't have to be super hard.
They did do better with the Demon Dragon and did just fine. Both that and Dark Beast Ganon in BotW are awesome and cinematic ends to their respective games. Ganondorf was already hard enough, the Demon Dragon is the last end phase.
@@chrange9714 i do agree, as a passionate enthusiast of botw’s story that it did truly give the game the great finale it deserved. However, it truly hurt the gameplay at the end due to the fact that the fight sucked. However, the demon dragon has the exact opposite problem: while the fight itself is actually good, the story it is trying to conclude is a terrible one that leads directly into one of the worst endings into any piece of fiction i have ever seen with the awful cutscene of sonia and rauru destroying sny stakes the game had

Yunobo is more of a cutscene. It works well as a playable cutscene rather than a boss.

I’ll give it credit it has better bosses than BOTW.
Like marbled Morgela, construct, Coldera, and the Demon Dragon are genuinely good Zelda bosses.
The rest are meh, but at least fighting them feels more puzzle like compared to BOTW which barely felt puzzle like.
Yeah that game had the opposite problem. It had bizzare duplicate bosses (with the exception of maz koshia and calamity ganon) and cool cutscenes while this game has better bosses but garabeg duplicate cutscenest that are naruto levels of filler

I just need to point out how overrated Colgera’s music theme is. It’s not even boss music, it’s more like music for trying to endure a storm, which is what this “fight” is more than a boss. Seriously though, I want to hear blood-pumping, adrenaline-rushing music for a boss fight and Colgera’s theme missed the mark badly.
This music does the job perfectly. The tempo is incredibly fast, and the woodwinds do a great job of keeping a wind theme for it. Dragon roost island is also a perfect leitmotif for this fight.

You know what would have been a better execution for the Demon Dragon fight? This:
Right after swallowing the stone and transforming, Ganon ignores Link and flies into outer space to coat the entire planet in gloom using his breath. as Link helplessly watches the gloom fall from the sky, the sages come to and give their secret stones to Link, which then transform him not into a dragon, but into a godlike, winged being bathed in divine light and resembling Fierce Deity Link from Majora's Mask. Link then flies into space to confront Ganon, and a fight kind of similar to the one with Jubileus The Creator from Bayonetta ensues.

The one we have now is way more impactful, with the fact that swallowing a stone is supposed to make you lose yourself and become an immortal dragon, but somehow Zelda is somewhat aware during the fight. And Link turning into a dragon would ruin the point of the master sword and just be lame and not make any sense

I really think Botw and Totk are both terrible. Let's just stick with Totk, because I think Botw is not really worth mentioning.
Nintendo has, in my opinion, destroyed the energy Zelda games ones had. The entire engine for Totk feels so wrong and sluggish. The "building things" mechanic does't fit Zelda, and weapons that break, INCLUDING THE FUCKING MASTER SWORD is hilarious. The entire game really doesn'T make one feel, like there really is an adventure going on, you most of the time end up thinking about how many weapons you have left, where you are supposed to go, and what the FUCK is actually going on in this NOT Zelda game. However, they did one thing right, and that's Ganondorf. Ganondorfs entire design is PERFECT. No mistakes here, well done Nintendo. But that just emphasizes the mistakes and flaws, that go on in this game. And the worst part is the following:
Nintendo fights Romhackers. This as itself is bad enough, but seeing what the romhackers create in comparison to Nintendo is astonishing. What people nowadays create with the Engine of OOT and MM is mind blowing. These Romhacks are what Zelda is supposed to be. Nintendo's "creations" are however filled with mistakes. The Hackers need to explain story things, nintendo literally didn't tell us. Think about it. I'm going to give you a few examples of things, literally remained unanswered: who is Fierce Deity Link, and where did he come from? what happens before the events of MM? why does Link in the beginning of MM have a shield looking similar to the Hyilian Shield, instead of the kokiri Shield. What happens with Kafei and Anju after the marriage. Does he grow back into a man? and so on and so forth. I could go on like that for days. But let's not even get into that. I have an advise for anyone reading this. If you want great Zelda games again, check out the newest romhacks. There will be a huge romhack released by the end of this year. I won't be naming it, just because of Nintendo trying to "kill" it. It isn't even named Zelda, but it follows the story of link. BEST ZELDA GAME SO FAR!!
Fuck Tears of the Kingdom, fuck Nintendo Team Zelda. Everytime I play Nintendo it will just be for Mario games, as they become better and better every time. (forget about Super Mario Wonder).

WOAH easy now…..ok….lets address your points…….yes i do agree the weapons in botw breaking should have gone away once you got the master sword. I know eiji aonuma said that he wanted to let players experiment with the different types of wespons and what not but it got annoying. Also, if he wanted this to happen, why did he still let wespons break so easy in totk? While you do fail to explain why ghe building mechaniques dont make zelda eork (i have heard better arguments) i get that without a masterfully atmospheric story like botw the open world thing gets pretty bland in totk. Fair enough. As for your ganondorf criticism, i would argue that is the best thing this game’s version of the character has to offer, especially since his character in this game is an utter idiot with the worst villain plan ever.
Yes i do agree that nintendo has very big problems nowadays with consistent storytelling along with not caring baout the mythos of zelda. However, i dont recommend we boycott nintendo but rather call them out for their bad storytelling from now on. Even if you dislike botw, you gotta admit that games story was great awhile totk’s is a dumpster fire
