Wow.. why are people so harsh in the comments? That's simply what she suggests and works for her. Everyone is different. And her skin looks pretty damn good to me
I think she meant days because I ve been using this method for a week now and I saw results within the second day. My acne is clearing up and my skin is soooo smooth ❤
The washcloth scares me... I normally go in with my oil cleanser dry, while doing light circular motions, and light tapping in the eye area to remove my makeup for about 1-2 minutes. I will then add a half a teaspoon of water and emulsify it and lightly massage for 2 minutes and then rinse off and follow up with my Cerave Hydrating Cleanser. That wash cloth would wreck my sensitive skin.
I have oily, highly sensitive skin, acne prone skin with puscular rosacea... Every cleanser that I’ve tried (high end and organic) has irritated my skin. Oils have always cause my skin to break out until I tried HEMP OIL! It is not canibis oil and can be found at Whole Foods. I do the massage for about a minute and then steam my face by placing a hot t-shirt over my face. I do not rub my face like she does, but I pat... the hemp oil is thin and does not clog my pores! It washes off easily and leaves my skin feeling amazing!
well that's because organic products are freaking lies. just because it's organic doesn't mean it's good for your skin. poison ivy can be organic as well you know?
Bayli Martinez Try olive oil (but use less quantities). It’s high on linoleic acid, better than oleic acid oils on acne prone skin. And yes, hemp seed oil is also famastic. I don’t even use an oil cleanser but only pure natural oils.
I'm sorry but I think you got this wrong. Olive oil is very high in oleic acid, not so much in linoleic acid. So I definitely wouldn't recommend it to people with acne prone skin @@tula__
colachim ok but maybe it also depends on the brand and where the olives came from. It’s not like olive oil only contains oleic acid and that’s what you’ll get out of it. Mine says it’s high on linoleic, so...and is certified 100% pure and cold pressed. Pure virgin oils are more beneficial than they do harm. There are 100’s of 1000’s of skin care products in the market that contains olive oil as imported ingredient. If it were so evil it wouldn’t be ever put because there are many women with sensitive skin. Ofcourse if you use too much of the oil, pores will get blocked. Otherwise it’s really safe and gets absorbed well in the skin to some extent. And it’s only comedogenicity rating 2, equal to jojoba oil which is widely used as a carrier oil. However you can’t say this about coconut oil which is among highest in ratings (=4).
I've gone back to oil cleansing after a 5 year break. I stopped because a skincare expert advised me to. My skin is blooming and my pores look smaller. I started OC when I was 30. I'm now 59 and people think I'm 40.
You can use a muslin cloth instead of a towel, as it's more gentle on the skin (I use this method with jojoba oil and one of my baby's muslin cloths). Works well for me.
I'm currently trying the 10 step K method and the oil cleaning was mind boggling to me at 1st. My skin is VERY oily but this has absolutely corrected my skin as well as complexion! I can appreciate this vid because initially I was weirded out just rinsing the oil from my face. The warm cloth removal is by far more beneficial AND easier. A tip which may be helpful to others: I use a diff WHITE cloth to clean my face daily. I buy them in bulk but began with packs from Sam's club or Walmart. That way it's no need to reuse and possibly return bacteria to a freshly cleansed face 😊
@clone 2k I think the term "new" leads people to believe that you mean using brand new cloths each time & then discarding as opposed to clean ones that get washed & reused. I agree that you shouldn't reuse a dirty cloth that you've used before. I use a different corner of the cloth each time & then lastly the center until it's all been used. That way I can get 5 uses out of one cloth. All you really need is a corner, dampen an area big enough to cover your fingers, no need to use the entire cloth for one use. It's obvious which corners have been used because there's always some makeup transfered to the towel & the used parts feel stiff & crunchy as opposed to the softness of the clean parts.
SASHANCO the 10 step method is rather just a hype. You don’t need that many steps and products on your face if you do the right way, the right products according to your skin type. And if some of them aren’t suitable for your skin, you’ll anyway break out or get worse no matter how good they claim to be.
The oil cleansers popular in K-beauty routines are usually oils/balms that have emulsifiers added so they get milky and rinse clean with water. The oils used for the oil cleansing method are just pure plant oils with nothing else added, which is why very warm water and a wash cloth is required to remove most of the oil. I don't actually think the steam or washcloth removes all the oil residue.
I've been doing a natural routine throughout my 20s. It's been great for my sensitive, acne prone skin. I like to gently massage jojoba or argan oil into my dry skin, focusing on areas with makeup. Then I either steam my face with a warm wet washcloth over it, or I take a shower. No rubbing needed! I rinse with warm water and then I put honey on my face, kind of like a mask. After washing the honey off, I don't have any oily residue on my face and it feels super clean and soft.
I dont do makeup but i use olive oil to massage before using oatmeal powder to clean my face. The olive oil takes all my death skin and dirt from my face. It works amazing and I noticed that my dark spots and pimple scars faded quicker.
😶 coconut oil is overrated anyway and terrible for acne prone skin. it clogs thee HELL out your pores. if you like oil for moisturizing, pick something light like grapeseed, sunflower, or argan oil. absolutely NO coconut oil.
Excuse me... A "hot" washcloth? Physically exfoliating and dragging your skin around? No second cleanse with a gel cleanser to really remove the oil and hydrate your face? Nope. Bye.
Exactly! If I did this on my skin, especially with my acne, I would just make my face more inflamed AND clogged! This might work for some people with dry skin, but you should DEFINITELY be cleansing with a face wash and water after oil cleansing to have the best results
Sara Rea-jones I had acne and excessively oily skin. It worked for me, and I oil cleanse regularly going on 5 years. If you have oily, acne prone skin, sunflower oil (high linoleic ) works well. The washcloth should be soft and clean every time. I use special super-soft wash cloths. It is okay to exfoliate your skin with gentle clothes. I do not follow with a cleanser most of the time, but a gentle cleanser with no sulfates would be fine as well for a heady makeup day if you want to cleanse after the oil. Plenty of People with acne find this method effective.
If you are too afraid of using a washcloth because of the physical exfoliation, you can use a microfiber cloth, and she is not rubbing her skin tho, she's patting it against her face
I started using an oil cleanser about 2 months ago, I was using it on dry skin, emulsifying with water, and rinsing off like a normal face wash. Didn’t really notice much. I started using THIS technique with the face cloth 1 week ago and have already begun to see a huge difference in my skin, it gives me this rosy glow and takes off all the dirt. I use a small cotton fiber towel and use VERY HOT water, put it over my face for a minute, and gently wipe the cleanser away (plus makeup at night. Absolutely a must technique!
I freaking love this video. It told me everything I wanted to know and confused about. Recommend to all new jojoba oil or any oil users. And I love how she said ready to use hydrosol water at the end because that’s what I got with my jojoba oil!!! Now I know the order how to use them. Thank u so much
I’ve had oily/ acne prone skin for years. And recently had hormonal cystic acne. I’ve been trying this method for only a week with jojoba oil and have never had better results with any other cleanser!!
-apply oil on face, massage -wash your hand 👐 -grab warm cloth, wipe your face.do not ever let your hand touch the oily cloth area.use only one side of the cloth for the oily area. -grab another/clean warm cloth, gently wipe your face again if u still feel oily. -throw the used cloth into washing machine. -wash your hand 👐 -rinse your face with room temperature water. -gently dap your face with clean towel/cloth. -spray rose water, apply face oil/moisturizer, sunscreen.
Um if you are an esthetician then you should know other people have sensitive and or acne prone skin. There is no one way to do anything because universally its different for everyone its all about nuances and what works for the individual
This is isn't a hate or anything but why do all this when you can just get a good oil cleanser or balm that is formulated to wash off well and use a gentle cleanser afterwards that is pH balanced? At the least actually just use a facial cleansing sponge which is more hygienic and gentler anyways. That tugging and pulling with a towel and it's fibres just isn't good for the skin in the long run. However the start was actually good especially the massaging tip was actually good because that's how oil cleansers are supposed to work that most overlook.
May I suggest instead of face washers/cloths reusable face wipes? Mine are bamboo terry and there is nothing harsh about them. One side is slightly rougher which is perfect for oil removal and the (super) soft side is great for delicate areas like around the eyes. I've seen facial cloths recommended as great way to exfoliate. 🙂
Yeowoo Oils that are used in oil cleansing are the same oils that big brands use for their “facial oils”. There are specific types of oils that you use that are non comdegenic. Good ones that are most used in luxury facial products are: rosehip seed oil, grape seed oil, jojoba oil, hemp seed oil, and avocado oil. These are all products you will find in luxury skin care. The additives are made for scent, for making them “thinner” or “dryer” and the. random added antioxidants or what have you. You can do the same by mixing oils or infusing oils with non comdegenic antoxidants! And this method works much better and matches the natural ph of your skin if done correctly. This channel is for people who want to contribute to a natural and non wasteful lifestyle. Oil cleansing is a great way to eliminate waste and also learn to create your own products formulated for your skin.
@@KN-pn6vy I bought wipes designed for babies' skin. Tots Bots is the brand I bought, however after doing a quick google search they may be hard to come by. About a year ago I bought reusable cotton rounds (cotton pads for eye make up removal) from Etsy and they are great. Perhaps hunt on there for a set of wipes in a material that suits you? And if you're in America you won't have such ridiculous shipping costs :-p
I do it differently: I only use an oil cleanser at night so that I can remove my makeup and sunscreen. I’ll massage it into dry skin until I can see the makeup and layers sliding off then I’ll just rinse it off. Next, I use my Lancôme crème cleanser which doesn’t dry out skin and I’ll use the dry cleanse method with that. I’ll then wet a silicone face massager and move it around my face so that the cleanser is activated and lathered up. I’ll rinse off my face with cold water. The dead skin cells should be off and face should be bare so then I apply an oil control toner with a spray bottle and I just pat that in without wiping. I also use a glow serum afterwards with vitamin c and magnesium. It makes my face LITERALLY glow afterwards and also helps lock in hydration and prepare for the next step. Since I have acne prone skin, I put 5% benzoyl peroxide gel on my face (pea sized) and since I’ve been using it for a while, my face doesn’t really experience the side effects anymore. It’s drying, but it keeps pimples away so I make sure to use aloe Vera moisturizer afterwards. Then after moisturizer, I’ll put on a glow nightmask that is used to brighten skin. I usually use this mask 3-4 times a week.
So far, I there's no blackheads on my cheeks. But on my nose, after doing the oil cleansing routine, my nose looks clear...but after 5 mins, there's blackheads again 😭why is this happening? what do I do?
I don’t want to sound like a biatch but I don’t feel confident using this technique seeing that she has wrinkles that perfectly matches her “rubbing routine”
Sara Chimenti totally, I’m not saying she should have a teen complexion just saying that her wrinkles perfectly match the rubbing part, and are very deep for a 35 y/o which tells me that rubbing it’s not a good idea.
luisacc88 What your seeing is normal. When you push or rub on your face it is supposed to give and get smooshed around otherwise your face would be stiff. Look in your mirror while rubbing your face and you’ll see where your skin natural creases. It’s the wrinkles that stay when your not doing anything that scare me 😳 I’m 35 as well, no Botox.. yet I don’t have any wrinkles but I’m militant about my skincare 🤣🌈
Paije Fuller Rubbing your face is fine. The skin, muscles, fascia of your face can handle being rubbed and massaged daily. Gentle Massage helps to move lymph fluid so your face isn’t so puffy. I massage my face intensely once a week. There are videos on here, look up “facial massage or self facial massage” and it will show you how to do it and all the reasons why it’s good Oh... Lisa Eldridge has a facial massage video that is really good too ❤️❤️❤️
Jonathon well I’m 30 and none of my expression lines aka wrinkles look as deep not even close, damn, my mom is 54 and not even hers look that deep, what we’re seeing is not natural, I’ve seen many facial massage videos and they don’t look like this and none of those ppl have those deep “natural creases”. This miracle routine doesn’t work or she’s doing something wrong cus it’s quite obvious it’s doing more harm than good.
This is all wrong!! Use an oil like Camelia/Azalea/Sweet Almond/Jojoba which is lighter and slippier and use upwards movements to decrease wrinkles. Use luke-warm water and a gentle soap like Goat's milk/plant-based (no synthetic ingredients!!). Next DON'T USE ANY CLOTH but merely tap all over your face to make water disappear and then work in your Asian Essence toners in 5-7 layers (takes 5 mins) followed by serums, lotion/cream moisturizer then a few layers of Japanese sunscreens (50+/PA+++++) then Make-up and a setting toner like Rose Water/Aloe water. I'm 36 and my skin is wrinkle free, supple and even-toned. Avoid the sun, smoking, blue light from phones/laptop's and eat lots of healthy food with intermittent fasting and daily walking exercise (especially staircases!). It's a lifestyle to have good skin and persistent effort.
Leilah E. That sounds like a lot of extra junk. My skin would freak out from all of those. Assign skincare doesnt work for everyone. For me, the simpler the better. Everyone’s skin is different so please don’t be telling everyone to do this
@@MaayanLovesUnicorns1 They are made for sensitive skin with high-grade ingredients. Japanese skincare is known by professionals for its simplicity. The oils I suggested are very thin/light/non-clogging and non-allergenic 😆
Leilah E. Oh, I’m sure Asian skincare is amazing. I actually read up on it all the time and have a few bits and pieces from Asian companies. All I was saying was that it might not work for everyone. If I did all that (and I’ve tried) it would make my face, unfortunately, freak out and get irritated. (Personally, and for others out there that experience the same thing), the simpler the better. All I need is to wash my skin with non-pore clogging oils and moisturize with an oil or natural face cream and that’s what works for me. People should do what works best for them, so someone else’s skincare routine isn’t necessarily wrong if it works for them. 👍🏽
I rinse rub and rinse without a cloth bc it builds up with bacteria. When I towel off it takes a lot of the stuff the oil grabs. I do this to my whole body. No body acne, and now harsh detergents disrupting the private areas. Yes u can use oil to clean there. It’s like a good send. Body acne is like non existent and it has lightened up the various scarring on my body. My skin is toned sand my pores are so small. It’s ridiculously amazing. It’s great for lifting deodorant thoroughly with just a swipe with a cloth. Only time I’ll use the cloth. Also the darkness in my pits has depleted and I shave with it. I also wash my hair with it. My hair smell so clean and scalp feels so clean and my hair is just growing. I mix peach tea with jojoba, castor oil, coconut oil, can use coconut milk, avocado oil, glycerin and almond oil. Sometimes I do with out the tea but I’m going to add aloe Vera juice as well. Soap is so overrated I’ve learned. I’ve been doing this for 3 months and the recent Ingredients for a month.
how exactly do you wash your hair with oil? doesnt just rinsing the oil out with water still leave your hair and scalp feeling greasy? Also does this method help with hair fall and thinning hair?
So I’ve been oil cleansing for about two years now. I am also an esthetician but had a couple questions: I stopped using wash cloths because no matter what I do they become very rancid smelling even after three uses. Now I use paper towels. Do you in your opinion think that this will do the same great job? Also instead of a hydrolysol I follow up with a spray rose witch hazel thayers brand and then an oil. But my issue is that maybe it’s because I’m pregnant but I do have breakouts and my black heads are terrible! Any advice? Thank you!:)
Bryan Jones I’ve tried this. Even soaking them in vinegar. I don’t think I never didn’t add fabric softener though. Do you personally think using paper towels do the same thing? ThTs what I’ve been doing and it seems to be working fine
I would use new ones and wash them each time (cloth towels), use white ones and it should have microfibers. Or use fleece towels bought in the local drug store. 💖🙌✨
Mikayla and Mariano Account paper towel won’t do a good job it’ll break up easily, your breakouts sound hormonal it should clear up when you give birth :)
What if you have some very sensitive cheeks where the blood vessels are close to the skin? Would you still use a washcloth? I typically don’t because of that part of my face. Would love your recommendation!
Mild Cleanser always that's suitable for your skin. Cream cleaner according to your skin type.. Oil cleanser makes the skin more oily. Warm water opens pores and skin break out. Use normal water. And during winter mild lukewarm water for cleansing
Kind of late, but I highly recommend you to get microfiber towels. I have/had very sensitive skin and it's the only thing I can use. I exfoliate with it too and my skin loves it! I find any other kind of towels to be drying and too harsh on the skin, even when just patting the skin dry.
No please don't use anything abrasive for sensitive skin. Don't use hot water either. Get a mild cleanser specifically for sensitive skin, vichy has an awesome one, get a facial a few times a year, and that's all you need.
Essential oils are extremely irritating to the skin. Camomile does soothe the skin but I would opt for camomile tea that is steeped first... You then use the water or the contents left in the tea bag as a mask. If you have sensitive skin stay away from fragrant oils such as lavender, peppermint, and citrus... they do not need to be in your skin care routine.
I've been doing oil cleansing for awhile and my bathroom sink keeps clogging up...anyone else have this problem while oil cleansing? It's not hair, I took off the p-trap and the plunger thing in sink. The oil isn't solid in the container, but does it get solid in the pipes?
😶 a good squirt of dish soap to sit overnight, then run a potful of boiling water down the drain in the morning. do this at least once a week. you'll never have a clog. like, EVER.
She never mentioned the fact that oil based cleanser help pull the oil based debris from your skin. Like oil pulling does for your body. That's also what helps dissolve blackheads etc not just the hot cloth.
how about double cleansing (Korean 10 step skincare method)? seems like we're discouraged from using foaming cleansers at all here, but the K method says oil cleansers complement foam ones.
Sorry there’s NO WAY I can use a washcloth on my face. At. All. This would kill my skin. Guess there’s actually no real “right” or “wrong” . I figured all of your years of experience would tell you that. Just one more opinion based piece. *sigh*
I really enjoyed this. I do the double cleanse, oil cleanse first I really like it. My oil cleanse foams up like a soap. It's very beautiful and light. Great tips. Thank you.

You can apply deep pressure to your face without adding wrinkles if you take your time and move as your tissue moves. The way she did was obviously causing wrinkles around her eyes because she applied too much pressure too fast.
Putting oil on your skin won't make your skin oilier because you wash them off after. Your skin is oily because your skin produce oil, so the oil comes from inside your face. Oil on your face will be wash off but your glands will just keep producing oil. I think it's more about your hormones
😶 the skincare realm is a major part of the beauty industry. it's a business. they lie to people all the time. their primary goal is to get your money.
I've been oil cleansing for 3 years using well.. Coconut oil. Which also I've been using for 15 years as not only a makeup remover but as a moisturizer. I also do oil cleansing the Ayurvedic way. It involves a couple more steaming before wiping off. Ihave never had any issues using coconut oil in any of my routines. Although everyone's skin is different. You can also use Sweet Almond oil and Grapeseed oil. Just look in to Ayurvedic use.
Yes! It's so good to acknowledge that everybody's skin is different and our needs are different! My skin responds very poorly to coconut oil, but great to sweet almond oil. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Wow. I am looking for very simple diy oil based cleanser, and i am so happy she just mentioned jojoba oil. I got it. I will start to apply this in my routine coz my face always yield acne each time i wear any foundation. I think i didnt wash it the right way. Thanks for sharing. I will include this recipe in my channel if its work for my skin.
@@ahms8689 Hi Russell. I only use this method once because i free myself from any foundation. I only use cream for my face now. However, i found out that this method rhelp to clean/remove the oil base foundation. But we need to wash our face with foaming cleanser after that. However, it doesnt really clean my glitter eyeshadow. Maybe i need to use specific remover for that.
6/4/2020: i’m assuming that your blackheads won’t just pop out the first time you do this, right? like it has to be a process. I’ll try it for a week and see what happens. I just tried this and it left my skin feeling rather good.
HELP!!!!!!! At what point would I use toner? I work with livestock so my face gets very sweaty, dirty and let's not forget that all of the effluvia associated with large animals gets all over me (plus, this is the Arizona desert... very HOT and very dusty!). That being said, is it OK that I rinse profusely with hot water before I begin this? Is after that the point at which I should use toner? Or wait until after the oil cleansing and before final moisturizing? PLEASE REPLY!!!
Hello. Using hot water on your facial skin isn't good; lukewarm or cool is best for washing. Cold water itself can tone your skin. At night, After oil cleansing with lukewarm water and oil, I then rinse my skin with cool water. Then I apply 1/2 Apple Cider Vinegar, and half water toner. Then moisturize.
No your face should be dry when applying oil cleanser then wipe it away as seen in the video what I like to do after cleansing my face Is get the hot wash cloth and press it on your face to open your pores then I take a toner one with no alcohol bc ones with alcohol dry and strip your face. Apply the toner on a cotton pad and just wipe it all over your face, it draws out any dirt or left over makeup the cleanser didn’t get, Then moisturize this is what I do and I have dry sensitive skin hope this helps 💓
I've just discovered the oil cleanse and tried it this morning with my own DIY oil (almond carrier with Rose hip soaked for 6 weeks and some rosemary essential oil). I did an 18 minute rub (watched another 2 videos and in those it said it could take up to 16 mins). I noticed that my pores all raised like tiny bumps, is this normal? I'm looking for the oily pores around my nose to stop looking like I don't wash! I'd also like my pores to shrink. The big pore which stands out shrunk and didn't look as oily and dark. I've been using an SA cleanser the last couple of weeks and it doesn't seem to be as effective as an actual physical face scrub. I'm in my 40s and am taking notice of things like "micro tears". Quite frankly, my face is going to be ravaged by the running that I do. I've chosen physical wellbeing which helps my mental health over beauty and looking young. I'd like both but doing the best I can!
Ye ive done this and it made my skin worse with acne. Sorry but gon have to call bs on this. Use a suitable unscented cleanser or micellar water instead, otherwise water is a good skin product if you dont use any makeup
I'm 17 years old and I have sooo many blackheads since 4 years and I really want to try this method with almond oil but I'm not sure if I'll get more blackheads with this or breakouts please someone with blackheads who tried this?
Almond oil shouldn't clog your pores. When choosing an oil you should look for those with low comedogenic rating (such as almond, jojoba, mango seed, andiroba, sesame seed). And using just one oil might be a little bit drying so try mixing at least two oils (but on the other hand remember that less is more ;)). I would recommend jojoba oil because it's the most similar to our natural oil and that's why it can clean your pores really well.
Hemp seed oil was amazing for my acne prone skin! It’s a zero on the comedogenic scale (0-5 rating) and never caused me any problems. It’s also not marijuana oil or anything (hemp seed oil doesn’t have any effects like the drug, so no need to worry about that! Lol) if you wanna look up other oils though to see if they’d work, google something along the lines of “oil comedogenic rating” and there should be a few things that list a lot of oils used for the face :) to be safe, I suggest going with a zero rated oil, even though a 1 is still considered non-comedogenic
Hey, How would you do this method as a full body cleanse? Would you go in the shower get wet and then rub the almond oil all over your body and then just rinse with hot water?
If you just put an oil on your body and not an actual oil cleanser made with emulsifying ingredients it won't rinse off with water on its own, you'd have to wash it off with a soap/body wash etc. But if you actually have an oil cleanser body wash then you could rinse it off or use a warm wash cloth in the shower like in the video
My first time oil cleansing tonight and I’m nervous with the oil haha but I’m confused..should we be double cleansing with another gentle cleanser after or no??
I just want to put this out there--for some people, oil+their skin does not work. I've tried so many different ways. acne and cystic acne (as far as I can remember) every single time.
This helped me alot. Plus taking probiotics, digestive enzymes, and omega 3 cod liver oil. www.minimalistbeauty.com/oils-specifically-for-acne-prone-skin/
Tamara Fagan I actually would suggest this for acne prone skin. Oil is REALLY good for oily acne prone skin and can balance the natural oils in the skin and make you less oily. It might not work for everyone but the oil cleansing method is actually what helped me with my acne. Most oils do not clog up the pores if you are using the best oil for your skin type and can do wonders with for dark spots, anti-aging and hydration!
Can someone please please please help me! After i wash my face I put serum and then my face oil from the ordinary (100% plant derived squalane) and I’ve noticed that dirt comes of. I don’t know if it’s dirt or dead skin or if it is something else. I’ve been doing the same routine for two months and it happend to me two days in a row now. Am I like oil cleansing without knowing? Or is it something else? I’m getting kinda scared.

I've never thought of using Hemp oil - awesome recommendation! I'd love to add that to my regimen.
I've gone back to oil cleansing after a 5 year break. I stopped because a skincare expert advised me to. My skin is blooming and my pores look smaller. I started OC when I was 30. I'm now 59 and people think I'm 40.
Interesting. Happy for you You are using which oil for cleansing ?
@@Sonalkabra I use any old olive oil.
Just did this cleansing method, and my skin feels amazing and soft! Thanks for the tutorial!
You can use a muslin cloth instead of a towel, as it's more gentle on the skin (I use this method with jojoba oil and one of my baby's muslin cloths). Works well for me.
How about a micro fibre cloth ?
@clone 2k really? Even after you wash it and dry after every use?
@clone 2k wtf. or maybe just wash it every time? because what you're doing is a waste?
I love the fact that she became relaxed as she did it
Switching to oil has been the best thing for my skin. I suffered so ling from acne..all her information is great.
Thanks for the tips! Love a good honey mask :)
thank you! cant wait to try this
Try exfoliation
I can attest to this method. Been using oil as a makeup remover and honey as a cleanser/mask for years! Always makes my skin feel so soft!
Thanks for your comment. My skin got super red and sensitive when l rubbed with towel 😅
i've been doing this almost every day for probably more than 5 years and still is the best feeling ever and get asked for my skincare routine
What oil do you use? 😊
Please tell me are you still doing it ....and to remove oil from face do you use hot towel...and are you doing it daily.
I dont do makeup but i use olive oil to massage before using oatmeal powder to clean my face. The olive oil takes all my death skin and dirt from my face. It works amazing and I noticed that my dark spots and pimple scars faded quicker.
elaborate on the oatmeal powder fam.
DO NOT use coconut oil on the eyes, as she said its CLOGGING, using coconut oil caused styes due to the oil clogging the lash root and pores
Is olive oil okay ?
@@yassingurhan6204 yes
😶
coconut oil is overrated anyway and terrible for acne prone skin. it clogs thee HELL out your pores.
if you like oil for moisturizing, pick something light like grapeseed, sunflower, or argan oil.
absolutely NO coconut oil.
Excuse me... A "hot" washcloth? Physically exfoliating and dragging your skin around? No second cleanse with a gel cleanser to really remove the oil and hydrate your face?
Nope. Bye.
Exactly! Heard washcloth and went "Nope". And no second cleanser is just ridiculous
If you are too afraid of using a washcloth because of the physical exfoliation, you can use a microfiber cloth, and she is not rubbing her skin tho, she's patting it against her face
camila godoy agree. I use super soft microfiber clothes I got on amazon. They actually work just fine with water in a pinch:).
From a dermatologist point of view a lot of her information is wrong. 13 years of experience doesn’t mean facts and science
hello, what part of her information? 😊
@@dca09grr ,
can you point out what's wrong? :)
But will you say what? Because just saying that you are a dermatologist and that she is wrong doesn't make you one or right :)
If anyones wondering most oils actually are comodeginic meaning it backs up your pores and means your skin cant breathe.
Do you mix it with castor oil?
Since I start to cleanse with oil my skin is so so happy and it's so cheap too. A little goes a long way ! Thanks MBG for sharing
-apply oil on face, massage
-wash your hand 👐
-grab warm cloth, wipe your face.do not ever let your hand touch the oily cloth area.use only one side of the cloth for the oily area.
-grab another/clean warm cloth, gently wipe your face again if u still feel oily.
-throw the used cloth into washing machine.
-wash your hand 👐
-rinse your face with room temperature water.
-gently dap your face with clean towel/cloth.
-spray rose water, apply face oil/moisturizer, sunscreen.
Don’t use rose water. It’s just liquid fragrance, and if it’s Mario Badescu, it’s hardly doing anything for your skin aside from getting it wet.
Yes washcloth is so harsh on face
May I suggest instead of face washers/cloths reusable face wipes? Mine are bamboo terry and there is nothing harsh about them. One side is slightly rougher which is perfect for oil removal and the (super) soft side is great for delicate areas like around the eyes. I've seen facial cloths recommended as great way to exfoliate. 🙂
architecturaldream1 where do you get them!?
Oil cleansing actually is the most relaxing thing , I don’t even care if its not helping with anything.

I don’t want to sound like a biatch but I don’t feel confident using this technique seeing that she has wrinkles that perfectly matches her “rubbing routine”
Sara Chimenti totally, I’m not saying she should have a teen complexion just saying that her wrinkles perfectly match the rubbing part, and are very deep for a 35 y/o which tells me that rubbing it’s not a good idea.
luisacc88
What your seeing is normal. When you push or rub on your face it is supposed to give and get smooshed around otherwise your face would be stiff.
Look in your mirror while rubbing your face and you’ll see where your skin natural creases.
It’s the wrinkles that stay when your not doing anything that scare me 😳
I’m 35 as well, no Botox.. yet
I don’t have any wrinkles but I’m militant about my skincare 🤣🌈
Just don't rub your face like she does?
Paije Fuller
Rubbing your face is fine. The skin, muscles, fascia of your face can handle being rubbed and massaged daily.
Gentle Massage helps to move lymph fluid so your face isn’t so puffy.
I massage my face intensely once a week. There are videos on here, look up “facial massage or self facial massage” and it will show you how to do it and all the reasons why it’s good
Oh...
Leilah E. If you already know how to do oil cleansing the correct way then exactly why are you watching this video ?
Leilah E. That sounds like a lot of extra junk. My skin would freak out from all of those. Assign skincare doesnt work for everyone. For me, the simpler the better. Everyone’s skin is different so please don’t be telling everyone to do this
@@Mslector It came up on my feed 😉
‼️Can anyone help, please? what’s the brand of oil she’s using? It sounds like she’s saying “My Have Torn…”
The wrinkles gonna be crazy if you tug on your skin like that everyday.
Bryan Jones
I’ve tried this.
Take a look at the Norwex face and body cloths, they are antibacterial and last up to 7 years.
Try soaking in vinegar and rinsing and leaving them in the sun for a couple days, they probably just have bacteria in it
Mikayla and Mariano Account paper towel won’t do a good job it’ll break up easily, your breakouts sound hormonal it should clear up when you give birth :)
First clean with Sebamed and continue with Cetaphil. I am doing that for about 10 years now, not changing cleanser.
If you have sensitive skin stay away from fragrant oils such as lavender, peppermint, and citrus... they do not need to be in your skin care routine.

a good squirt of dish soap to sit overnight, then run a potful of boiling water down the drain in the morning. do this at least once a week.

I've been doing it right. Yay me!
She never mentioned the fact that oil based cleanser help pull the oil based debris from your skin. Like oil pulling does for your body. That's also what helps dissolve blackheads etc not just the hot cloth.

Melissa Corbett why not? If your skin is really sensitive you can probably use a micro fibre wash cloth, would be more gentle

You can apply deep pressure to your face without adding wrinkles if you take your time and move as your tissue moves. The way she did was obviously causing wrinkles around her eyes because she applied too much pressure too fast.
Sucks for you. The method actually works.
@Sound of Jesus is that also good for sensitive nd dry skin can i use?
I will never trust the skincare world after realizing that I should be using oil on my oily skin like why would they do this to me?
Putting oil on your skin won't make your skin oilier because you wash them off after. Your skin is oily because your skin produce oil, so the oil comes from inside your face. Oil on your face will be wash off but your glands will just keep producing oil. I think it's more about your hormones
Well yeah this is me realizing my issue

Many thanks for sharing your expertise!
Amber Rose what do you use to moisturize?
No your face should be dry when applying oil cleanser then wipe it away as seen in the video what I like to do after cleansing my face Is get the hot wash cloth and press it on your face to open your pores then I take a toner one with no alcohol bc ones with alcohol dry and strip your face. Apply the toner on a cotton pad and just wipe it all over your face, it draws out any dirt or left over makeup the cleanser didn’t get, Then moisturize this is what I do and I have dry sensitive skin hope this helps 💓
Thank you, Ashlynn!
Can anybody recommend a good spray and oil serum? I've got the cleansing oil covered
I only have coconut oil I'm broke asf 🤣
Ye ive done this and it made my skin worse with acne. Sorry but gon have to call bs on this. Use a suitable unscented cleanser or micellar water instead, otherwise water is a good skin product if you dont use any makeup
I'm 17 years old and I have sooo many blackheads since 4 years and I really want to try this method with almond oil but I'm not sure if I'll get more blackheads with this or breakouts please someone with blackheads who tried this?
try using a really ligh oil like argan, so it doesnt clog your pores even more
@@Adriana-ob8kp okay thank you
Almond oil shouldn't clog your pores.
@@nataliaszydlo5785 thank you very much I've been using almond oil since a couple of days and I hope I will see a difference soon
I use Olive oil. I wasn't breaking out at first but now I m.
Olive oil clogs the pores.
Try castor oil :)
jojoba oil mamiiiii
it doesn't. it's just high in oleic acid content so it should only be used on dry skin types@@stephaniesmyrl7354
Grapeseed oil is supposed to be good for acne, but I haven't tried it yet!
Is that a Seabuckthorn oil? I heard you mention “havtorn” which is Seabuckthorn in Sweden and Denmark
can you use argan oil?
U wanna copy right grammarly's add just call her up and be like just say this 👌👌👌
Please do a NO ANNOYING BACKGROUND MUSIC 🎼 version? 🙄
I just feel like this would create more laundry. Would you have to use a different washcloth everyday?
My first time oil cleansing tonight and I’m nervous with the oil haha but I’m confused..should we be double cleansing with another gentle cleanser after or no??
Girl HURRY UP, I’ve already got my hair band on and I’m ready to go!!
Did you try double cleansing with a water based cleanser afterwards? Did it still break you out?
How many times a week can i oil cleanse?
I gave up with coconut oil, too risky
But im still working on tamanu oil
Use MCT oil. Much better than coconut oil
Her skin looks amazing
Do I have to use hydrolysol and oil after the cleansing?
No. You can use a DIY Rosewater (Food grade) & clove toner. Spray on your face & leave to dry.
the “good DIRT” girl PLEASE. there is no good “dirt!” maybe good bacteria but not DIRT OMG HAHAHA
she probably meant good oils lmao
I agree, have a look at our face oils and carrier oils. 👍🏼
Should I use the oil castor cleanse before or after I use cerave cleanser?
this broke me out, and REALLY badly.
israel may what oil did you use
I’d recommend to use a micellar water then oil cleanser then a foaming cleanser and it will really help with your acne and don’t use the cloth
Don't we need to oil another water based cleanser after an oil cleanser?
Can someone please please please help me! After i wash my face I put serum and then my face oil from the ordinary (100% plant derived squalane) and I’ve noticed that dirt comes of. I don’t know if it’s dirt or dead skin or if it is something else. I’ve been doing the same routine for two months and it happend to me two days in a row now. Am I like oil cleansing without knowing? Or is it something else? I’m getting kinda scared.
