@@mihovilmikulec well besides the graphic, the current game has a lot of things that, for some reason, aren't in the game even tho they are not too complicated (true break times, dirt...) And given that it took years to switch from DX9 to DX11, it is probably not gonna look like that any time soon, if ever. I mean DX12 is out and SCS just switched to DX11 on 1.36
I wish truck simulator games had challenging roads like these.

That's why when I used to sim I played OMSI 2 in Innsbruck with an SU220 bus :D Definitely more fun, but not as relaxing as ETS2 on highways

This is very much like driving around the lochs in Scotland, although we don't have the painted lines. You always want to watch the scenery but you have to keep an eye on the narrow road. Scenery here is just beautiful.
I've made over 30000km with my Scania in ETS2 so far and gotta say, it's the best one ever! Never failed me, always fun to drive.

I tried many brands and models becouse in the beginning I mostly played "quick job" mode (each job you get a different cargo, different truck, you work for different company etc.) But I enjoyed Scania most, it's power and "feeling" in general. She's also quite eye-catching and the interior looks nice and cozy.
That's why it was the first truck I've bought.

I once got banned from ETS2 multiplayer because some tit logged out at an intersection and when he logged back in I happened to be at said intersection waiting to pull out. As he appeared in the game in the same spot I was in, made my truck flip upside down onto the roof. I called him a tit for logging out at an interserction and I got banned for it. Gave up on ETS 2 multiplayer after that. The admins are dickheads.

@@derekdelboytrotter8881 I've seen that watching some ETS2 multiplayer video. The admins sometimes causes the accident then bans the victim. I recently bought ETS2 and haven't had the time to play it yet but I think I'll stay off multiplayer due to those admins and the overall reckless players.

@@boxritter Meh. Doesn’t pay so good, I don’t meet the age requirements, actually driving would likely be stressful, and as all trucks are going to be automated in a few years anyway, I’d only lose the job. Nice idea, but nowadays there is no point to try to become a truck driver.

It's amazing how much attention to detail the developers of Euro Truck Simulator 2 paid to the details of the interior of these trucks. My Scania S in the game looks almost identical to the real deal, including the dashboard display and the placement of all the buttons!
It's a truck game that cost almost 20€. I think it's the minimum.

There is a mod that adds hands to ETS2. Believe me, it's incredible. It adds soo much to the game. Especially when driving with a proper wheel, a G27 in my case, manually + clutch.

Yeah ETS uses real sounds from real trucks to get the sounds for the game, that's why they sound identical.
WOW and it's not that it's true, the sound is perfect, in that ETS2 didn't sin, it used real sounds.
But not all ETS2 trucks use sounds that they use in reality, some are sounds created by themselves, it would be nicer if all the sounds in ETS2 were the same as reality.
My father was for a long time a trucker too, i appreciate the work of all of you, good luck on your travels ✋
