I was also upset I had to live without Princess Daisy as a playable character only because many people got fooled by Daisy's heavy resemblance to Peach which caused them to think that Daisy was a nickname of Princess Peach instead of a new character.
Minor correction: King Arthur specifically bankrupted Enix's American branch. It was the only game they published. Any future games that Enix published either didn't make it stateside or had a different publisher outside of Japan (ex. Mischief Makers was published in Enix in Japan, but by Nintendo in America).

Then minutes later, we're all getting into it trying to beat each other, placing bets and laughing so much because of how bad it is. The things that happen in the game were just too funny. I actually recommend it.😂

I've owned Dracula for years, and I've never known how someone can skip the big sword so easily. It's in the first level, and you follow the arrow at the top of the screen (which is in every nonlinear level) to find it. That being said, yes, the game is janky as hell. The respawning and immediately losing half your health to things you can't see is a big one, since for some reason the camera has to scroll all the way back to the checkpoint before you can actually see yourself.
