Well, I don't want to say anything personal against anybody and I have no idea how decisions are reached, but I will say this: people who have played Fallout for years don't seem to me to be the types who want to do timed and/or group objectives in an enclosed space. For me, the game has gone in the wrong direction, and I feel sad when I think of the wasted beautiful world they originally created.

Exactly. Really hate how barren the world is and how much NPCs are wasted. It is like we sort out the Gold issue with Foundation or Crater and we sort out Brotherhood issue with the leadership and it doesn't matter. We get no post quest updates with them. There are also so many enclaves of people that nothing happens with. Like I want to see more of The Enclave cause the Ai seemed extremely interesting. What about the Vaults that are locked away ? I want to see more of the Treehouse Settlement that we met in Brotherhood of Steel questline. So much potential and I knew this was going to happen when Zenimax eventually tasked a much smaller studio such as Austin to continue 76. This game requires a much bigger team to get content out. Now I understand Starfield is most important right now to Todd and Bethesda, but Bethesda is a billion dollar company and there are no excuses
I am just tolerating The Pit to get the flaming mod for the saw. Once I have that, I won't go back. I am about not quite half way to the 85 stamps I need.
Joined up with a team for Union Dues (sabotage) and the guy got stuck on objective 3/4 for around 5 minutes before I ended up fixing him somehow (probably triggering enemies that got stuck somewhere). Team leader got so annoyed that he brought his mic out of storage 🤣 but literally as I took 4 steps after, the game instantly crashed. Despite reopening the game within seconds, and getting the pop-up saying I rejoined my team...I wasn't able to rejoin the Expedition at all I was livid
yeah I'm gong to miss Steve but considering he basically left when the Pitt was basically done (especially the design aspect) and He got a new job right away, I'm going to guess this more simple case of another studio scouting him with a better deal or more interesting project. still surprising BGS didn't send him off though.
He is a talented person and worked on some of the best locations in the game. (cp. portfolio) His levels have a lot of detail and a multitude of interactable world objects. As this has always been a performance issue of the engine implementation in FO76, he seems to know Bethesdas engine really well and such experts are rare. Bethesda would have been stupid to send him away. I wish him the best for his future projects.
The new shelter has a sun ray problem. Like I can see the light through stuff and there isn't any shadows in the underpass area. Most disappointingly there isn't a day and night cycle for the shelter.
I lost 2 suits of Armor in my stock shelter after a few updates ago. I would try to get in one and the game froze and the armor would not recall If I fast travel to unlock myself, the armor would vanish into thin air. I won't set foot in shelters anymore and it's sad because the Pit shelter looks really cool.
The Pitt looks good but it's a grind to get the stamps you need to get anything. It won't really be a problem for people who no-life games, but for the ones who have to leave their home everyday to work, go to school and etc. may turn them off to that idea. What they did for legendary modules was a very nice thing, seeing how you can buy 5k worth of scrip of them from the Purveyor. The fusion core generator you can get from the bundle is nice but it DOES NOT CHARGE Ultracite Fusion cores. Something most streamers and youtubers are not really talking about.
Again, why is there a PTS, if the live game is so disruptive? Why? Either Bethesda really doesn’t care or listen to input or, it’s Bethesda’s usual ineptitude. I’m thinking it’s the latter.

Yet, for it to work as intended, people have to actually use the PTS and give structured feedback over the official channels. Most of the times I tested the new content on the PTS, the servers were almost empty or a few no-lifers were testing glitches and exploits.

Expeditions are just wasted resources. This game has gone in the totally wrong direction. I don't know why Bethesda doesn't listen player base. Fallout is a game about free open world exploration, and Expeditions are dungeon style events that nobody likes. Just like Daily Ops.

Considering the bad design decisions that kept happening with FO76 I am not sure his leaving was a bad thing. Players in general don't enjoy Daily Ops and many complained about the decisions in their design, what did he decide for Expeditions? More Daily Ops but instead of 10 minutes it's 30 to 60 not counting the three daily missions to get there. Players would have been happy if Expeditions was a small open world with daily missions in it and events that come up. And that would have made the battery dailies make sense, if you want to go there then get your own battery. As it is the three dailies make not the tiniest bit of sense, they want you to go there to help them out so why are you paying for the travel expenses instead of them? That's a terrible design decision ontop of an already bad one. Daily Ops that was for stealth and yet you cannot complete them in twenty minutes using stealth the whole time, You have to run around and hope escape artist works so you can go into stealth. That's not a stealth mission but run and gun. Bad game design. Grindy AF reputation system for settlers and raiders but raiders have 2 quest givers giving completely different mission while settlers has 1 that only gives the same mission and will give you crap when you don't instantly do it or as you are coming up to tell him it's done... Bad game design. Caps, scrip, gold, and now stamps? Thats too many currencies. Bad game design. Legendary crafting that resets all the effects when players were wanting less RNG? Bad game design. Every major patch comes with a brand new melee weapon but not a single brand new rifle(fixer is a combat rifle)? More bad game design. I could go on and on. Atleast with him no longer making the bad game design decisions maybe the next one will make some good ones.

What does the general bog standard average TES or FO fan enjoy? What brings them to the games like vultures to carrion after nearly 30 years? It isn't Daily Ops or the Daily Ops longer version named Expeditions. For myself it is the open world do as I please to improve my character as I please in the ways that I please. My first Bethesda game was Daggerfall and I could do that in spades way back then in the 90's. Could do it with Oblivion, FO3/FNV, Skyrim, and FO4 and not lose out on anything the games had to offer and can be doing something different everyday.. FO76 has little of that, has the base world but then has the do * daily to better your character and that * I hate with a passion.

Agreed. I'm not bothering with the grind cause the payout is terrible and The Pitt itself is a resource drain for the most part anyway. I now have 18 stamps and I did everything in Ashes To Fire. I did the minimum in Union Dues as I hated that one, Ashes was much better in comparison. I do love the Auto Axe and would love to add damage effects to it, but not at the price they are asking. 85 stamps, really ? Even if I grinded that, I could only buy 1 effect with it. So if I bought Fire Damage, I'd have to grind another 85 to get Electricity damage. Bethesda cannot be serious. Did they actually sit down and go over these payouts during development ? Survivalist even pointed out the payout system was terrible in the beta as everyone else did too and that wasn't changed. I'll wait until they are added in Minerva's inventory as gold items and even then it will probably be a crazy amount anyway.
The server bug was simply "disconnected from server" message happening over and over. It wouldn't allow you to join friends worlds and often wouldn't even let you join a new or private world. Went on for an entire day at one point
crashed three times last night in a row trying to get into game, just gave up on that day's Score/chore board. Been trying to hang in there but gets discouraging to play.
Freezing during sign in from main menu. "Disconnect from server" loading in from same menu right after "world found" have to shut down game. This happens especially when switching btwn chrctrs Shredder AP consumption is now out of control. WAY more than that of auto axe. Vaporization nozzle/long barrel pairing borked. Legacies remain on public servers... I think I might put it down.
As of Sept 29 I can say that some of the issues with the Pitt still exist. Specifically the crashing issue when being the Leader and attacking the Conquerors in the Foundry part of Union Dues. I never crash if I'm NOT the leader, but always crash if I am. I ignore the conquerors and let the other players deal with them instead. Loading back in after a crash did freeze the game on resuming, as highlighted in the video, had to restart again and jump back in.
Ashes To Fire showed potential and then they had to add an enemy that could revive health and that opens up bugs where he is invulnerable cause his minions glitch out. They really should remove that. So yeah, this dlc was a bust. Union Dues was beyond boring while Ashes has that one boss that ruins the experience. I've barely seen Expedition teams today cause people are waiting for patches or they aren't interested in it. Not farming Stamps cause I want to avoid this dlc like the Plague when I 100% the achievements in it
The reason why i stopped playing fallout 76 is for end game there is not much new content even on release, it is the same stuff with the events and over time i gets boring. There is nothing in the game which is grindy without being time gated, look at the settler and raid reputations, it takes 2 months roughly to level them by doing the same set of quests over and over. The reason why people resort to exploiting and cheating is down to boredom, that is what happened to me, i built my camp, at the time was trying to get my full set of unyielding secret service armour and after 4 moths with logging on almost daily i only got two near perfect pieces. Then the damage nerf happened and completely trashed 90% of builds and it just added more demotivation to play and that is where i went i to hacked weapons, i had a legit LMG bloodied build but that is where i was given hacked weapons such as the queen killer and some other ones. They were fun to use and only used em on nukes that i launched and never used them in pvp. After they got patched i was a owner of the nightlight and after a bit i realised that i shouldnt cheat to have fun in a game and that is where i quit, i tried beforehand on becoming a trader for rare goods and nuka colas and try going back to being a camp builder and built one other camp high in the sky. Then i just stopped playing as again, i shouldnt feel like i have to cheat to have fun. I might come back down the line and play legit when i feel like there is content i find good enough to grind out for but right now even the pitt i find would die out in a few weeks of me playing. There needs to be more long term non time gated grinds in the game which keeps players motivated

the pit was a snore. when we get new maps in other fallout games... there are new items, new foods, new STUFF. the expeditions just feel empty. they look cool but I honestly just don't give enough of a shit to keep playing, and why the hell is all this new pit stuff tied into the season board? also why did they move the SPECIAL bonus bufgf items to the end? I was debating about getting more fallout 1st but after this launch and al the crashes, that's a fuck no, not sure where my money would go. clearly not into content I want or server stability . I crash 3 times on average before I get into the game world. SMH
The Pitt is honestly terrible at the end of the day….every single side quest is litterly a npcs having u take a dumb picture of random shit…the fuck? Lol. The Pitt is boring as fuck after like 2 attempts. having to do dailies just to get into the Pitt…yea they r easy but still.
I have literally lost count at this point of how many times my game has frozen up on me every time I try to get into power armor. I can see everyone else around me still moving but I can't do a d*** thing.
Re: dev leaving - Maybe it's time for a new direction anyway. The greatest thing they did for the game was give 76 a fantastic open-world landscape. Since then, there has been zero additional open-world area added to the game, only dungeons. Combat-focused events and missions are so stale at this point. What seems to be missing over and over again from every update is CREATIVITY.

I came back after a year for the Pit. Thank God I had a couple of friends to do it with. The game is an unfun grind in so many obvious ways. I can feel how much the developers hate their fans in every bit of dialog, but, man, they do create beautiful open world maps.

I came back about 2 months ago. I have been loving the game mainly because of the shenanigans you can have when you have a group of friends to play with. Solo is fun and all, for me and I think it's mainly because a lot of the disruptive bugs that people have been having I personally haven't experienced yet. So I always read up on potential bugs people are experiencing, and count myself lucky for now. I know my attitude for the game would be a lot different if I was experiencing the same issues everyone else is.
The weapons break very fast now. And more annoying, I can't use my character out of power armor due to the AP drain that stops me dead in my tracks. Bethesda really better fix that and the weapon breakage.
@@dakotasnyder7111 . Doesn't surprise me. Bethesda want to say that people had their expectations too high when it was Bethesda themselves that hyped this up. It was on the roadmap since 2020 and it was in the recent Microsoft showcase. People were not expecting Daily Ops prior to gameplay showings. We expected something similar to Fallout 3's map with questlines and explorable locations for the amount of time this was worked on. Fanbase is sick of the direction this game has gone. The devs need to bite their pride and listen to us for a change.

I’m very upset about the login issues and crashes because I thought maybe there was an issue when downloading the update on my Xbox so i reinstalled the game just to loose all my saved photos, very saddening. I’m also worried and excited about the possibility of a new lead design, could bring some really good things or some really bad things.
Though the bugs are annoying i’m glad it wasn’t worse. Been playing every day since pitt dropped and haven’t had too many game breaking bugs. Let’s just hope nuka world tour is a bit better 🤞🏼
I feel like I'm in the minority where I've encountered far fewer crashes than I did six months ago -- I haven't crashed once during an expedition although I've encountered the very occasional bug but nothing that required leaving the expedition or reforming the group. Of course I have in-game friends who have encountered every type of crash and bug in the last week and I run a number of mods so -- in theory -- my client should be a lot more unstable.
For the first time last night I couldn't load in to the game! It would say world found then immediately I'd get a Disconnected From Server!? Tried my private world and it just sat loading forever! First time I've ever had this happen! The Pitt has been working fine for me this whole time except for last night!! I was pissed as it's my only time to relax and play get all my dailies done etc.... something is not right! I really hope it's different tonight!🙏 I'm on Xbox by the way!👍
I understand this game is played on PlayStation PC and Xbox but if the entire community cries out to Microsoft for the love of God please take the reins take charge if your $7.8 billion purchase to make this game good and holy like it should be a funny funny feeling that Microsoft actually would step up and do just that we’ll see depends on how many people actually she’d this advice
Pretty pathetic how Bethesda couldn't fix this mess of a game when CDProjektRed (almost) completely fixed their game smh. Tried getting back into this game also, ran into bugs I experienced years ago and promptly uninstalled. Fallout NV is even better than this game lol. I don't blame him for leaving at all.
I played the beta but quit because of the bugs, started playing again last week with the gamepass and I must say, as much as I liked playing it recently it still a buggy mess and I notice that when you try to say something about said bugs in their online communities like the fallout 76 reddit you get disliked to hell and back for some reason.
I just experienced a weird bug with the Gamepass version on PC. If put a fusion core in any of my Power Armors, it would disappear after as if I never put it in. The animation would play, every time, but the core always disappeared. I was unable to use power armor as a result. Tried restarting and it was still there. When I switched to the Steam version of the game, it worked again. That's a new bug I had never experienced.
It's sad to see Steve take off, but he's not the only dev and this isn't the only game that's being abandoned by Bethesdas devs. This is what happens when corporate politics and greed get in the way. Microsoft buying Bethesda was cool, making all future games exclusive to one community doesn't leave a good taste in any gamers mouth though, or in a devs mouth. I play on all 4 platforms and I firmly believe this decision will ultimetely destroy Bethesda. Greed killed off the gaming industry in the 80s for close to a decade until Nintendo revived it. I'm seeing the same trend happening right now, been bubbling up for 2 years. There will be no next Gen consoles after these if they don't start working for the gamers and not for the investors and fanboys. These triple A companies need to be put back in their place and remember that they work for us, the gamers, and we have the power united to end them.

Went to fix PA when I was at Fort Atlas..placed PA down to fix..couldn't fix or collect it kept saying couldn't do this while in PA..still can't interact with new guitar.. and freeze up trying to get in PA..
New weirdness in 76. When I tried fast traveling just now it started flashing through the load screen images like an old school slide show. Image after image appearing in rapid sequence. I was trying to get to a nuke zone to participate in A Colossal Problem in the mine. Had to restart. I'm on PS4.
So they're down to three devs now? Sad. I love this game. The only bug I've come across was the Warden stuck in a wall but shortly teleported into the open. I play in window mode as I have an ultra wide and use the extra space for UA-cam etc. Haven't had graphical issues.

My friends and I have had success avoiding the Trog bug, by walking back to Hex and making sure to wait for all the Trog spawns along the way. When running forward and not killing them, we encounter the bug.
For me when ever I get this PA work bench glitch I find hoping on coming station fixes it. Although first tim clicking on cooking it says "server not responding" but after clicking it again I find the PA workbenches works after exiting cooking
Yes! My PS4 crashes to the blue screen quite often and i am just in the normal world or daily ops and yes, logging into a new world crash occurs too. And the daily ops status on my name stays even after i complete the ops… anyone have that?
Since this update the game on PS4 is crashing almost evaery time I join any event. And I cannot do anything in the Pitt without at least 2 crashes. I have also seen NPC with no head and the new upcoming boss unmoving in the cranberry bog. The game is a real mess on PS4.
Did they fix the Daily Ops bug that came out with the Pitt that shows you and other players on a public team are still in Daily Ops, even though you are not? You join a team that shows they are in Daily Ops, join the event, and find that they are not there. Then you leave, and it shows you are still in Daily Ops, too until you leave the team.
That armor stacking thing is not true god mode. there is true god mod thing but done in different way you can't loose health at all even nuke can't kill you. But I'm not going to explain it since I don't use it but it does exist has since day one of 76.
We had a glitch today fighting the SBQ. A TON of bloat flies spawned and kept respawning at the building everyone stands on. We did collect the meat from them and more than a few legendaries. The downside is that the weapon reload and weapon switching didn't work hardly at all.
Could have been a one or more hidden players using the modified syringer that spawns bloat flies from stealth. I do this sometimes in events with another player to mix things up.
Any body stuck in there pa and once you get out your pit boy arm is tiny it stays way and you can’t read it the things to activate the Pitt don’t allways show up for me if I can’t find a box of tatos one more time I’m done I can never find a Pitt mission to join allways got to launch one my self pain in the axxx
The Pitt update was horrible. So underwhelming as an original player it's pretty sad that I can run through the Pitt solo with no clue what I'm doing and get everything and only recieve 10 stamps woo-hoo another long grind for another currency. This update was nothing like advertised. Should've been another whole map to explore like Appalachia.
That is just wishful thinking. It took them several years to develop the main map and some more years to work out most of the existing bugs and rough edges of the main map. Most people have no idea how long this takes using the available toolkit. Time to come to terms with the realization that this may be not the game you wanted and go to look for something that better suits your needs.
I stopped playing on season 8 after playing for years, i really think they should stop supporting this game and focus their employees on other projects. It’s just become un-fun and grindy. if they added mod support or even hired dedicated modders this game would be amazing and have a great comeback
It isn't too late. They need to drop their ego cause they seriously come across as "I'm a Fallout master and I know best". The fans are telling them what we want and they are doing the exact opposite. We've been saying more story content and they have released more Daily Ops. We have tons of factions and lore in the game being unused. We can't even get new faction dailies after nearly 3 years. The Enclave is established underneath Whitesprings and nothing is being done with them. What is the point of The Responders now ? They are a stepping stone to The Pitt. No, no, no. All wrong. We didn't even need expeditions tbh. We can't get enough content in Appalachia and so I wasn't interested in going elsewhere. The Pitt was shocking as it got hyped up so much that we of course expected a large map with quests and locations to explore and this was 200 years before Fallout 3 so there could be more locations still standing. Nope, more Daily Ops

So much potential and I knew this was going to happen when Zenimax eventually tasked a much smaller studio such as Austin to continue 76. This game requires a much bigger team to get content out. I am just tolerating The Pit to get the flaming mod for the saw. Once I have that, I won't go back. I am about not quite half way to the 85 stamps I need.
Joined up with a team for Union Dues (sabotage) and the guy got stuck on objective 3/4 for around 5 minutes before I ended up fixing him somehow (probably triggering enemies that got stuck somewhere). Team leader got so annoyed that he brought his mic out of storage 🤣 but literally as I took 4 steps after, the game instantly crashed. Despite reopening the game within seconds, and getting the pop-up saying I rejoined my team...I wasn't able to rejoin the Expedition at all

yeah I'm gong to miss Steve but considering he basically left when the Pitt was basically done (especially the design aspect) and He got a new job right away, I'm going to guess this more simple case of another studio scouting him with a better deal or more interesting project.

I think he got a better job offer too but who knows.
He is a talented person and worked on some of the best locations in the game. (cp. portfolio) His levels have a lot of detail and a multitude of interactable world objects. As this has always been a performance issue of the engine implementation in FO76, he seems to know Bethesdas engine really well and such experts are rare. Bethesda would have been stupid to send him away. I wish him the best for his future projects.

The new shelter has a sun ray problem. Like I can see the light through stuff and there isn't any shadows in the underpass area. Most disappointingly there isn't a day and night cycle for the shelter.
I lost 2 suits of Armor in my stock shelter after a few updates ago. I would try to get in one and the game froze and the armor would not recall If I fast travel to unlock myself, the armor would vanish into thin air. I won't set foot in shelters anymore and it's sad because the Pit shelter looks really cool.
That sun ray isn't just affecting the shelter, it got in my camp too. Big round sob.
The Pitt looks good but it's a grind to get the stamps you need to get anything. It won't really be a problem for people who no-life games, but for the ones who have to leave their home everyday to work, go to school and etc. may turn them off to that idea.
What they did for legendary modules was a very nice thing, seeing how you can buy 5k worth of scrip of them from the Purveyor.
The fusion core generator you can get from the bundle is nice but it DOES NOT CHARGE Ultracite Fusion cores. Something most streamers and youtubers are not really talking about.
Again, why is there a PTS, if the live game is so disruptive? Why? Either Bethesda really doesn’t care or listen to input or, it’s Bethesda’s usual ineptitude. I’m thinking it’s the latter.

Yet, for it to work as intended, people have to actually use the PTS and give structured feedback over the official channels. Most of the times I tested the new content on the PTS, the servers were almost empty or a few no-lifers were testing glitches and exploits.

The blue screens are painful. Especially towards the end of a mission when you get kicked by the team leader before they complete the mission. =)

Expeditions are just wasted resources. This game has gone in the totally wrong direction. I don't know why Bethesda doesn't listen player base. Fallout is a game about free open world exploration, and Expeditions are dungeon style events that nobody likes. Just like Daily Ops.

Considering the bad design decisions that kept happening with FO76 I am not sure his leaving was a bad thing. Players in general don't enjoy Daily Ops and many complained about the decisions in their design, what did he decide for Expeditions? More Daily Ops but instead of 10 minutes it's 30 to 60 not counting the three daily missions to get there. Players would have been happy if Expeditions was a small open world with daily missions in it and events that come up. And that would have made the battery dailies make sense, if you want to go there then get your own battery. As it is the three dailies make not the tiniest bit of sense, they want you to go there to help them out so why are you paying for the travel expenses instead of them? That's a terrible design decision ontop of an already bad one.
Daily Ops that was for stealth and yet you cannot complete them in twenty minutes using stealth the whole time, You have to run around and hope escape artist works so you can go into stealth. That's not a stealth mission but run and gun. Bad game design.
Grindy AF reputation system for settlers and raiders but raiders have 2 quest givers giving completely different mission while settlers has 1 that only gives the same mission and will give you crap when you don't instantly do it or as you are coming up to tell him it's done... Bad game design.
Caps, scrip, gold, and now stamps? Thats too many currencies. Bad game design.
Legendary crafting that resets all the effects when players were wanting less RNG? Bad game design.
Every major patch comes with a brand new melee weapon but not a single brand new rifle(fixer is a combat rifle)? More bad game design.

It isn't Daily Ops or the Daily Ops longer version named Expeditions. For myself it is the open world do as I please to improve my character as I please in the ways that I please. My first Bethesda game was Daggerfall and I could do that in spades way back then in the 90's. Could do it with Oblivion, FO3/FNV, Skyrim, and FO4 and not lose out on anything the games had to offer and can be doing something different everyday.. FO76 has little of that, has the base world but then has the do * daily to better your character and that * I hate with a passion.

Agreed. I'm not bothering with the grind cause the payout is terrible and The Pitt itself is a resource drain for the most part anyway. I now have 18 stamps and I did everything in Ashes To Fire. I did the minimum in Union Dues as I hated that one, Ashes was much better in comparison. I do love the Auto Axe and would love to add damage effects to it, but not at the price they are asking. 85 stamps, really ? Even if I grinded that, I could only buy 1 effect with it. So if I bought Fire Damage, I'd have to grind another 85 to get Electricity damage. Bethesda cannot be serious. Did they actually sit down and go over these payouts during development ? Survivalist even pointed out the payout system was terrible in the beta as everyone else did too and that wasn't changed. I'll wait until they are added in Minerva's inventory as gold items and even then it will probably be a crazy amount anyway.

The server bug was simply "disconnected from server" message happening over and over. It wouldn't allow you to join friends worlds and often wouldn't even let you join a new or private world. Went on for an entire day at one point
crashed three times last night in a row trying to get into game, just gave up on that day's Score/chore board. Been trying to hang in there but gets discouraging to play.
With so many crashes, it's like a chore to even login for affected players. Change game mode to windows if you're on PC, it solved the issues for me.

As of Sept 29 I can say that some of the issues with the Pitt still exist. Specifically the crashing issue when being the Leader and attacking the Conquerors in the Foundry part of Union Dues.
I never crash if I'm NOT the leader, but always crash if I am. I ignore the conquerors and let the other players deal with them instead.
Loading back in after a crash did freeze the game on resuming, as highlighted in the video, had to restart again and jump back in.
Ashes To Fire showed potential and then they had to add an enemy that could revive health and that opens up bugs where he is invulnerable cause his minions glitch out. They really should remove that. So yeah, this dlc was a bust. Union Dues was beyond boring while Ashes has that one boss that ruins the experience. I've barely seen Expedition teams today cause people are waiting for patches or they aren't interested in it. Not farming Stamps cause I want to avoid this dlc like the Plague when I 100% the achievements in it
The reason why i stopped playing fallout 76 is for end game there is not much new content even on release, it is the same stuff with the events and over time i gets boring. There is nothing in the game which is grindy without being time gated, look at the settler and raid reputations, it takes 2 months roughly to level them by doing the same set of quests over and over. The reason why people resort to exploiting and cheating is down to boredom, that is what happened to me, i built my camp, at the time was trying to get my full set of unyielding secret service armour and after 4 moths with logging on almost daily i only got two near perfect pieces. Then the damage nerf happened and completely trashed 90% of builds and it just added more demotivation to play and that is where i went i to hacked weapons, i had a legit LMG bloodied build but that is where i was given hacked weapons such as the queen killer and some other ones. They were fun to use and only used em on nukes that i launched and never used them in pvp. After they got patched i was a owner of the nightlight and after a bit i realised that i shouldnt cheat to have fun in a game and that is where i quit, i tried beforehand on becoming a trader for rare goods and nuka colas and try going back to being a camp builder and built one other camp high in the sky. Then i just stopped playing as again, i shouldnt feel like i have to cheat to have fun.
I might come back down the line and play legit when i feel like there is content i find good enough to grind out for but right now even the pitt i find would die out in a few weeks of me playing. There needs to be more long term non time gated grinds in the game which keeps players motivated

the pit was a snore. when we get new maps in other fallout games... there are new items, new foods, new STUFF. the expeditions just feel empty. they look cool but I honestly just don't give enough of a shit to keep playing, and why the hell is all this new pit stuff tied into the season board? also why did they move the SPECIAL bonus bufgf items to the end? I was debating about getting more fallout 1st but after this launch and al the crashes, that's a fuck no, not sure where my money would go. clearly not into content I want or server stability . I crash 3 times on average before I get into the game world. SMH

I have literally lost count at this point of how many times my game has frozen up on me every time I try to get into power armor. I can see everyone else around me still moving but I can't do a d*** thing.
Re: dev leaving - Maybe it's time for a new direction anyway. The greatest thing they did for the game was give 76 a fantastic open-world landscape. Since then, there has been zero additional open-world area added to the game, only dungeons. Combat-focused events and missions are so stale at this point. What seems to be missing over and over again from every update is CREATIVITY.

I came back after a year for the Pit. Thank God I had a couple of friends to do it with. The game is an unfun grind in so many obvious ways. I can feel how much the developers hate their fans in every bit of dialog, but, man, they do create beautiful open world maps.
The Pitt as solo is a nightmare, I do not recommend.

I came back about 2 months ago. I have been loving the game mainly because of the shenanigans you can have when you have a group of friends to play with. Solo is fun and all, for me and I think it's mainly because a lot of the disruptive bugs that people have been having I personally haven't experienced yet. So I always read up on potential bugs people are experiencing, and count myself lucky for now. I know my attitude for the game would be a lot different if I was experiencing the same issues everyone else is.
Hopefully they don't go radio silent after Steve leaves like other developers (rockstar) and still actively communicate with the community.
There's only a few that speak so it's possible they will go radio silent after this.

The weapons break very fast now. And more annoying, I can't use my character out of power armor due to the AP drain that stops me dead in my tracks. Bethesda really better fix that and the weapon breakage.

@@dakotasnyder7111 . Doesn't surprise me. Bethesda want to say that people had their expectations too high when it was Bethesda themselves that hyped this up. It was on the roadmap since 2020 and it was in the recent Microsoft showcase. People were not expecting Daily Ops prior to gameplay showings. We expected something similar to Fallout 3's map with questlines and explorable locations for the amount of time this was worked on. Fanbase is sick of the direction this game has gone. The devs need to bite their pride and listen to us for a change.
The Pitt is boring it's a slow grind for meh rewards the new season is by far the laziest and the worse . I have no faith in this game . And this so called new team that took over are taking this game in the wrong direction
2022 roadmap has been awful this year. 2023 has got to be better and a new management team has to make big changes and listen to the fans.

Last week I asked for the dev who came up with Legacy weapons to be terminated. Maybe I got my wish... Server crashes? No way...

I’m very upset about the login issues and crashes because I thought maybe there was an issue when downloading the update on my Xbox so i reinstalled the game just to loose all my saved photos, very saddening.
I’m also worried and excited about the possibility of a new lead design, could bring some really good things or some really bad things.
Though the bugs are annoying i’m glad it wasn’t worse. Been playing every day since pitt dropped and haven’t had too many game breaking bugs. Let’s just hope nuka world tour is a bit better 🤞🏼

No, I legit was in photomode inside the Foundry, normal view, then when the leader dragged me out it got stuck under the map.
I feel like I'm in the minority where I've encountered far fewer crashes than I did six months ago -- I haven't crashed once during an expedition although I've encountered the very occasional bug but nothing that required leaving the expedition or reforming the group. Of course I have in-game friends who have encountered every type of crash and bug in the last week and I run a number of mods so -- in theory -- my client should be a lot more unstable.
You may be right about Minerva's spawn point at White Spring. There used to be a bus in that spot and it is gone now.
For the first time last night I couldn't load in to the game! It would say world found then immediately I'd get a Disconnected From Server!? Tried my private world and it just sat loading forever! First time I've ever had this happen! The Pitt has been working fine for me this whole time except for last night!! I was pissed as it's my only time to relax and play get all my dailies done etc.... something is not right! I really hope it's different tonight!🙏 I'm on Xbox by the way!👍

Tried getting back into this game also, ran into bugs I experienced years ago and promptly uninstalled. Fallout NV is even better than this game lol. I don't blame him for leaving at all.

I played the beta but quit because of the bugs, started playing again last week with the gamepass and I must say, as much as I liked playing it recently it still a buggy mess and I notice that when you try to say something about said bugs in their online communities like the fallout 76 reddit you get disliked to hell and back for some reason.
I just experienced a weird bug with the Gamepass version on PC. If put a fusion core in any of my Power Armors, it would disappear after as if I never put it in. The animation would play, every time, but the core always disappeared. I was unable to use power armor as a result. Tried restarting and it was still there. When I switched to the Steam version of the game, it worked again. That's a new bug I had never experienced.
It's sad to see Steve take off, but he's not the only dev and this isn't the only game that's being abandoned by Bethesdas devs. This is what happens when corporate politics and greed get in the way. Microsoft buying Bethesda was cool, making all future games exclusive to one community doesn't leave a good taste in any gamers mouth though, or in a devs mouth. I play on all 4 platforms and I firmly believe this decision will ultimetely destroy Bethesda. Greed killed off the gaming industry in the 80s for close to a decade until Nintendo revived it. I'm seeing the same trend happening right now, been bubbling up for 2 years. There will be no next Gen consoles after these if they don't start working for the gamers and not for the investors and fanboys. These triple A companies need to be put back in their place and remember that they work for us, the gamers, and we have the power united to end them.

Went to fix PA when I was at Fort Atlas..placed PA down to fix..couldn't fix or collect it kept saying couldn't do this while in PA..still can't interact with new guitar.. and freeze up trying to get in PA..
New weirdness in 76. When I tried fast traveling just now it started flashing through the load screen images like an old school slide show. Image after image appearing in rapid sequence. I was trying to get to a nuke zone to participate in A Colossal Problem in the mine. Had to restart. I'm on PS4.

The only bug I've come across was the Warden stuck in a wall but shortly teleported into the open.
I play in window mode as I have an ultra wide and use the extra space for UA-cam etc. Haven't had graphical issues.

My friends and I have had success avoiding the Trog bug, by walking back to Hex and making sure to wait for all the Trog spawns along the way. When running forward and not killing them, we encounter the bug.

For me when ever I get this PA work bench glitch I find hoping on coming station fixes it. Although first tim clicking on cooking it says "server not responding" but after clicking it again I find the PA workbenches works after exiting cooking
Yes! My PS4 crashes to the blue screen quite often and i am just in the normal world or daily ops and yes, logging into a new world crash occurs too.
And the daily ops status on my name stays even after i complete the ops… anyone have that?
Since this update the game on PS4 is crashing almost evaery time I join any event. And I cannot do anything in the Pitt without at least 2 crashes. I have also seen NPC with no head and the new upcoming boss unmoving in the cranberry bog. The game is a real mess on PS4.

I’m on ps4 and have crashed twice joining the Pitt and crashed twice leaving the Pitt. And I’ve done Union Dues twice and Ashes 3 times.
Did they fix the Daily Ops bug that came out with the Pitt that shows you and other players on a public team are still in Daily Ops, even though you are not? You join a team that shows they are in Daily Ops, join the event, and find that they are not there. Then you leave, and it shows you are still in Daily Ops, too until you leave the team.

Microsoft WAKE THE FUCK UP put more staff on fallout 76 u are the boss now so do something.
That armor stacking thing is not true god mode. there is true god mod thing but done in different way you can't loose health at all even nuke can't kill you. But I'm not going to explain it since I don't use it but it does exist has since day one of 76.
We had a glitch today fighting the SBQ. A TON of bloat flies spawned and kept respawning at the building everyone stands on. We did collect the meat from them and more than a few legendaries. The downside is that the weapon reload and weapon switching didn't work hardly at all.
Could have been a one or more hidden players using the modified syringer that spawns bloat flies from stealth. I do this sometimes in events with another player to mix things up.

Windowed mode left me with super low fps and no fix. Switching to Fullscreen got me back to normal.
Scorchbeast queen pulled a page from earl williams book and pulled a Garry's mod.
Any body stuck in there pa and once you get out your pit boy arm is tiny it stays way and you can’t read it the things to activate the Pitt don’t allways show up for me if I can’t find a box of tatos one more time I’m done I can never find a Pitt mission to join allways got to launch one my self pain in the axxx

Just build a big ass camps. I’ve given up chasing anything. Once the story is done it’s chase this pay for that.
Fallout is finished I wasted money and the game always needs fixed three years and the game is still broken I gave up playing it three months ago
Anyone else having issues with the auto axe. Sometimes it sticks , you can hear it reving but no hit marks. And other times the hit box is funky
going to wait on expeditions for a while im just wasting my time. Hopefully Bethesda gets this fixed!
The Pitt update was horrible. So underwhelming as an original player it's pretty sad that I can run through the Pitt solo with no clue what I'm doing and get everything and only recieve 10 stamps woo-hoo another long grind for another currency. This update was nothing like advertised. Should've been another whole map to explore like Appalachia.
That is just wishful thinking. It took them several years to develop the main map and some more years to work out most of the existing bugs and rough edges of the main map. Most people have no idea how long this takes using the available toolkit. Time to come to terms with the realization that this may be not the game you wanted and go to look for something that better suits your needs.

I tried stream a new character on twitch and the game crashes every time I try to sleep on beds. even on the vault
it's so annoying I can't even play it, I keep getting kicked from world.
I stopped playing on season 8 after playing for years, i really think they should stop supporting this game and focus their employees on other projects.
It’s just become un-fun and grindy. if they added mod support or even hired dedicated modders this game would be amazing and have a great comeback
It isn't too late. They need to drop their ego cause they seriously come across as "I'm a Fallout master and I know best". The fans are telling them what we want and they are doing the exact opposite. We've been saying more story content and they have released more Daily Ops. We have tons of factions and lore in the game being unused. We can't even get new faction dailies after nearly 3 years. The Enclave is established underneath Whitesprings and nothing is being done with them. What is the point of The Responders now ? They are a stepping stone to The Pitt. No, no, no. All wrong. We didn't even need expeditions tbh. We can't get enough content in Appalachia and so I wasn't interested in going elsewhere. The Pitt was shocking as it got hyped up so much that we of course expected a large map with quests and locations to explore and this was 200 years before Fallout 3 so there could be more locations still standing. Nope, more Daily Ops
