I do Western boxing and still Yokkao make some of my favorite gloves, up there with Cleto Reyes and Winning. I have a pair of 18oz Matrix in their Island color for sparring, and I just bought another 16oz lace up pair in red for general training and bag work. Really great stuff!
Hi, If you are just doing boxing we would recommend going for a pair of actual boxing gloves. But everyone is different and has their own personal opinions, some people love using Yokkao for boxing and some people hate it. Everyone is different
As these are Thai Boxing gloves we would normally if someone is training in just boxing to go for a pair of proper boxing gloves, however i've known quite a few people who have used yokkao gloves for just boxing because they like them. Everyone will be different and have a different opinion.
@@bigdaddygucciabg836 no i eneded up getting yakkoas.. they where a bit expensive but iv been using them for 2 years 3x a week and there still super good! Theres a small amount of ware on some of the pad where my left middle knuckle is. prob bc im a huge fan on left hooks but yea there mint
@@EnsoMartialArts Other people I train with their yokkaos last about 3 or 4 years. And the velcro will go. Twins the velcro is much more durable. I will only use mine for sparing and not bang them on bags. So they should last alot of years.

I weigh 107 kg ( around 240 pounds ) should I get 16 oz or 18 for sparring??? Pls answer thanks
alot of the fighters in the gyms near us would use 16oz but alot of gyms/clubs have different rules.
We would recommend the 16s
@@EnsoMartialArts thank you
I'm 175lb and always spar with 18oz gloves.
How do these compare against twins Thai gloves ?
Twins are good gloves, we think Twins, Fairtex and top king are all along the same level, Yokkao are the best Thai Gloves in the world!
@@EnsoMartialArts Thank you!
@@EnsoMartialArts Thank you very much! I seen some reviews weigh up 16 oz twins and there 14 oz. So if I want a 14 oz pair should I get the 16 oz?
