Love that they brought back Scott Speedman to finish out the series.
I hope they bring back Ellen Barkin too the next episodes !! It would be amazing !! 🙌

I always felt like Baz was the only one who could control Pope. In a firm but respectful way tho. When Baz died Pope didn't have that anymore. He slowly lost his mind until self-destruction.

Great to see Scott Speedman again!
Pope never saw a good day. Manipulated and used by his own mother so she could keep living in luxury. His brothers were also used but they at least had their fun while it lasted. Pope was always looking out for his family , no matter how lonely he was. In the end his purpose as the protector ended so he died. Tragic for all of the brothers.
When he built his quarter pipe he was happy
This episode showed me that in the end when stuff came down to it, Baz was looking out for himself. He turned his back to Julia, J & Pope. He then would claim that he "did it for the family"
This moment happened before the first pilot episode and We had to wait 6 seasons to see it ! The script of this show is simply AMAZING !!! I MISS ANIMAL KINGDOM ! 😢

Baz is the worst character I always hated him too……I’d had waited 3 more seconds Pope would have been fine
All that adrenaline and the sirens and the cops would have made the car if they didn’t see pope. At the stop light it looked like baz was gunna turn around for pipe but the honking snapped him out of it

@@anthonycampos8057 I think he means that this show didn’t grow a massive audience like Breaking Bad or Sons of Anarchy, even though Animal Kingom is up there with them as one of the best shows today.

He wasn't late, moron it explained it at the end. Baze got jumped fell over basket because pope bum rushed the security guy so baze could escape.
Baz left Pope behind because he was angry that he still had feelings for Catherine.
@@jalyceabraham1902 if that was the case, he would have left immediately instead of waiting for him and exposing himself the longer be waited; the multiple swearing and sense of hopelessness in the face of a situation out of his control shows that Baz did not originally intend to screw Pope over but as several commentators said: although Baz genuinely seemed to care about Pope, he just cared about himself more whereas Craig and Deran would have waited for Pope no matter what; only J would have left because he was out for revenge from the beginning and if Baz is indeed his biological father, he inherited his self-serving desire to get even from Baz because Julia had a kind and noble soul like Pope; she could see through Smurf's Machiavellian machinations, schemes and manipulations far more clearly than anyone else. Pope couldn't because of his mental illness which Smurf exploited and weaponized to turn him into a loyal hunting dog. He eventually lightened up but much later.
@@simontraversy5363 True but Baz got J beat up by Javi by stealing the money that Smurf needed to pay him off so that he left her and her family alone and showed no remorse for the danger he put J in only blaming him. And he pushed J right in front of Lena out of spite all because Smurf gave him the power of attorney. If Deran and Craig didn't stop Baz, he would've beat J up.
@@jalyceabraham1902 he did and that's what self-serving, self-centered, self-absorbed = selfish people do which just shows that Pope had a special place in his heart, which wasn't all that big, for Pope; perhaps there was a sliver of remorse for what had happened to Julia and his non-intervention (again out of personal self-interest; he didn't want to lose his house or his privileges)... As for J, Baz was sadly offed early in the series so there wasn't enough time to build any connection and besides, J, by his own admission, was never fully accepted by his uncles who were far more family-oriented and selfless than Baz, so in the light of that fact obviously Baz didn't think too much of J even if J asked him if he was his biological father ( Baz's dismissive answer showed he didn't care much at all whether he was or not whereas Billy, as flawed and equally selfish as he was, did try to build a bridge with Deran with moderate success).... ua-cam.com/video/Y_VkAhlOECY/v-deo.html

Nah baz was an a hole and he was becoming uneccsiary. The drama of smurfs crazy manipulation and tug of war with sons was what made the show when they killed her off the show wasn’t the same. The show was the same even better after baz died

Cheating on his wife 24/7, stealing girls from other men, straight up digging jay when he came to him asking about his parentage, often manipulating him. Gave zero fucks about his child when his wife disappeared, who he only spent all of 5 minutes looking for before he went back to work. Like Smurf, everyone to him, every single meaningful relationship was a means to an end. The picture perfect wife and child for a good cover, a network of brothers he manipulates on the regular to do his bidding. Given the chance he would have traded them all to save his own skin. But you know what, you’re right jay was twisted, he had the balls and the brains to float under the radar and take it all and live, unlike baz
