Naw. He was and will forever be know as Chad Kelly here around Clemson. I’ll never forget hearing how he immediately started trouble when he came to Clemson. If you don’t know, Dabo won’t tolerate that. He didn’t do that great when he played. When he went to Old Miss, I knew either Old Miss was dumb or just dumb for bringing him on.

I went to HS with Moses Malone Jr (the son of basketball player Moses Malone). Tall, excellent at Basketball. But he was a GRADE A piece of shirt. He bullied everyone. He thought every girl liked him. He was a smart bass to teachers and never saw his father once. For some reason these celeb athletes kids and close relatives sometimes get arrogant. I was glad to hear Moses Malone Jr never gained the popularity his dad did in the NBA.

When Chad was at Ole Miss I hung around him on several occasions. To be honest, it was almost like he grew up in a gang but escaped the lifestyle by being a great athlete. I mean the way this guy talked and acted was just like what you see out of these gang members on Tv. He may have been a great athlete but he was a complete moron when it came to everything else. There was just something off with this guy and its truly amazing he made it as far as he did.

TV gangsters trying to make money via image act totally different than gangsters making money on the streets. The smart ones are quiet, polite, and do their best to avert any attention. If you are making a lot of illegal money and tell people.... you will not be making that money for very long. So saying he acts like he's a gang member doesn't really say much. But saying "like you see on tv" does change it up a tad bit. For awhile people thought 6ix9ine was a gang member, while having affiliation, he turned out to actually having no real gangster in him and pretty much laughed at people who thought so.
I'm thinking this Chad Kelly guy was moreso like 6ix9ine? But hey... even Marshawn Lynch likes Skittles, naaahhmmsayin?

If you have King Jock dismissed less than a month from a team, wherein the team and the school are mum about it, my guess is he committed some type of felony. 100% guess on my part as I don't know this kid.

I used to be a state parole agent in Pennsylvania. One of the dudes I supervised did exactly the same thing after getting drunk one night. He walked into a complete stranger's house--nowhere near his own home--and went to sleep on the livingroom couch. The homeowner came downstairs the next morning and found him still asleep. Needless to say, the police were called and his arrest ensued. The police & the ADA were assholes and nailed him for Attempted Burglary despite nothing of the kind taking place--it was really as innocent as he claimed,--just Trespassing in an occupied residence. Well, if memory serves me correctly, he got 9-23mo. in the County Jail, then was paroled to serve a 4mo. parole hit in the state prison system. No, he wasn't a star athlete.

Wouldn't say "never" works out. Most of these kids are taken from gang/drug infested ghettos and exploited. A lot of these "character flaws," that are highlighted pre draft are things that anyone in similar environments would have. However, Chad was an entitled prick. Born with a silver spoon in his ass so he has ZERO excuses. Unfortunately, I really think he would have been a great QB.

and now he is an all-star again here in the CFL and has led the Argos to a 14-2 record that could tie the 1989 Edmonton Eskimos who went 16-2 for the greatest regular season in league history with two games to go mind you CFL is 18 games one more than the NFL's 17 and he has a good shot at leading them to back to back titles. Yet he is still 4th in passing yards 3rd in passing touchdowns and 2nd in rushing touchdowns, not number 1 in any category. As a starter, he has a 12-2 record

An update, he came on cold in the 4th quarter and won the Grey Cup for the Toronto Argonauts with a huge 2nd and 15 run for a 1st down (remember only 3 downs in Canada), was nothing but classy and professional as a backup learning the ropes during the season and the Argos' starting QB job will be more than likely his to lose next season. He's adapting well to the Canadian game although not without occasional blunders and is already wildly popular with the fans even before the Grey Cup game.

Yes I’ve always believed that Chad Kelly could play in the NFL. He can throw with anticipation to throw open WRs & he can process the game when it gets fast. Both in my opinion are what makes the difference in NFL & CFL QBs.
John Elway was friends w/Jim Kelly so he called Jim & drafted Chad. Frank Reich was Kelly’s long time backup on the Bills so he picked up Chad. Something had to happen with the Colts for Reich to release Chad because not getting the QB right is what cost Reich his job. Reich needed a QB so badly so something happened there.
It looks like Chad has matured. I really want to see him excel.

Been an Ole Miss fan for almost 50 years. I was a little boy when Archie Manning was becoming a hero in Oxford, MS. Since those days the Rebels have had some pretty good QBs. John Fourcade was immensely talented. Romero Miller was a stud. Then came Archie's youngest son, Eli. Like his dad he came in 3rd in Heisman voting. After Eli came one of the greatest QBs ever produced in the state of Texas: Jevan Snead. The next Rebel QB was the immensely talented "Dr" Bo Wallace - who engineered the great Alabama upset of 2014. But out of ALL of them...the MOST TALENTED was Chad "Destroy Every Opportunity" Kelly. Your video is excellent, but one point you miss is how extraordinary Kelly played with so little time to learn Hugh Freeze's system. Kelly went from the simpler systems of JUCO to the complex offensive schemes of BIG TIME SEC football. Chad Kelly carries the athletic genes to be an NFL HOF'er. But his character genes will make certain nothing of the sort will EVER happen.

I have to go to a lot of hospitals for work and last year I had to go to the hospital in Oxford pretty late one night and I pulled in behind this Mercedes AMG with Colorado tags on my way into the parking lot. When I got out I noticed it was Chad Kelly. Was a few days after he was released from the Broncos. He had some girl with him and she was the one needing to go to the emergency room. Not sure what happened but she didn’t look very happy.

I used to bust and breakdown the Kelly brothers in hi school hoops. On their court we beat them . We owned east Brady that year. Kellys talking s$$$$ and I kept scoring in their face. Kellys got busted that year. 😂 😂 I put the Kellys in their place . And scored on them at will. Right in front of their parents. 😂 😂 😂

For me, I was glad to see him leave Clemson, but happy for him to play at Ole Miss (even though that program was despicable under Freeze). His porn star crap was just stupid IMO.

thanks for the awesome video. you can't keep a good man down. Chad is a very talented QB. not going to judge him and i'm glad my early life wasn't public.
Chad helped Toronto Argos win the Grey Cup in 2022 and is the top QB in the CFL right now 11-1 start for the Toronto Argos best team start in 150 year history. 3rd of the season left and the games don't mean anything because the Argos just clinch East division playoff spot at home, one win away from the Grey Cup Game again. Argo fans love Chad Kelly and hope we don't lose him to the NFL.
    Go Argos!
