Air France Flight Experience: AF254 Singapore to Jakarta

- Air France Boeing 777-300ER flight experience on a 5th freedom route between Singapore and Jakarta, as the continuation of AF254 from Paris - Charles de Gaulle Airport.
It was a seamless experience using the self check-in kiosk to print out my boarding pass. At the baggage drop-off counter, I dropped my luggage and requested to change the flimsy paper boarding pass for a "proper" one, which was gladly accommodated.
Onboard, it was a quick 1 hour 18 minute flight time to Jakarta. A meal was offered with a choice of drink, including juices, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and hot coffee and tea. The meal was enjoyable though the chocolate cake was a tad too dry. No headphones are given out on my particular flight though I'm informed that they are distributed on flights for this sector.
Overall, it was a pleasant short flight with Air France.

Fantastic video Gavin! I really liked how you brought back the airport overview at the beginning of the video. One of my favorite parts about travel is the airport so I would love to see airports featured more often like in this video.

Nice experience! Very similar to mine I had when I flew with Air France on the 777-300ER from Paris to Punta Cana in July.

So the transit in Singapore is longer than the flight SIN-CGK itself? Just like KLM flying from Santiago (Chile) to Amsterdam, via Buenos Aires. The transit in Buenos Aires is like 2 hr 5 min, and the flight SCL-EZE is a little less than 2 hours.

Thats surprising. I took the air france flight back to sg from cgk during the end of sept and received headphones. Was suppose to fly both sectors with AF but the outbound flight was cancelled due to internal reasons. But i would say its not that bad flying AF as an alternative to cgk from sin or vice versa other than garuda or sq which is a little pricey for this sector.
you want less pricey flight from Singapore (SIN) to Jakarta (CGK)? get out of Changi Airport and the crossing Malaka Strait to Batam Island (BTH) by boat, it takes about 15-20 minutes =D

I am also surprised that the headphones are not distributed. I can hear that notification ringtone for that Samsung phone there as the plane taxis to the gate at Jakarta. Not obeying flight rules.
Actually cell phones are allowed to be switched from airplane mode back to standard mode upon landing.
Oh, but some airlines don't allow that. They are very strict and only allow the cell phone to be on after you leave the aircraft. I am also the guy you replied to.
