man, impressive and profound statements from King Diamond. Hard to contradict his argument that killing in the name of one's beliefs makes no sense

Wow,king really put things into perspective as far as religon. I'm not really a fan of the music although I think his falsetto is amazing. He really has got a bad rap from the right wing religous nuts. Seems like a level headed guy.

King Diamond is just f*cking awesome! I really like his music, but what he was saying about religion is just so great! Yes, most people lacks respect... The good in metal is that there is a mutual respect between fans, even if they don't have the same views all the time. Hope the world could learn something from here.

@Mirrorbeholding I'm pretty sure he hates it. As he clearly demonstrates his dislike of war, caused by people's varied opinions which Nazism is king over. King Diamond is certainly not like the Norwegians Black/Pagan Metal dorks.

I won't get into a discussion about how we were all created and what's "true" and "not true" about that. But it most certainly is a very ignorant statement that I, "similar to rocks", am ignorant. I'm not saying that you in particular are forcing your faith onto others, but Christianity has always been a very missionary religion, stressing that it's the only true religion, and it's naive to think otherwise.
Those last 4 words should never be used in a discussion about religion. It's called "believing" or "not believing". It's bullshit to go out and say that one thing or another is "the truth", and downright force a belief onto people (as it's the case with, say, christianity) is to me completely bullshit.
it's been an interesting thing to hear what does someone like King Diamond thinks about some themes, it all goes against that idea of a rock star or a metal god that is so stupid and only knows how to get people crazy and that kind of stupid ideas, good.
Not the same group we're not all alike (sorry but english is not my 1st way of experession), but there is a common understanding, maybe you can call it a skill, to distinguish between whats serious and obviously stoopid or sarcastic questions.
Im sorry you can't understand. Thats just a humoristic question. If you knew what Denmark and the Danes are like, you probably wouldn't ask about this question. It's just sarcasm, but i know most Americans have a problem understanding that, without a warning.

Perhaps the uploader should have mentioned that this show is the Danish equivalent to something like "The David Letterman Show" or "The Tonight Show"; it's nowhere near a serious program. The premise of the interview is Halloween. I personally think it's an alright interview nonetheless, as the interviewer actually ask him more or less what he think of Bush. He also let King rage on about religion (KD is Ace here) -so he does ask some good questions IMO.
I apologize for my previous comments, I was just kidding. Holloween is my favorite holiday, well there's candy and intrigue. I would like to ask the King a favor. I will even bow down before him. Would he ask his fans to walk on Sept 26th in Washington DC for Curesearch Milestone Walk on you tube for childhood cancer. Lol at trying to stay low key in Dallas, Halloween night. I could see kids coming to his door for candy, while parents whisper to each other, "Do you know who lives in that house?" "No way!" You basically got it, but the Satan to them is the word itself, as it means Adversary in Hebrew. They are the adversary's of the spiritual religions, as they find that they can get self gratification by believing in human kinds natural urges... so yea, basically you could say they consider Satan to be a mascot representing the Judeo-Christian sins. =P

There is a reason why King Diamond is referred as KING Diamond.
first of all satan is just a symbol in that religion, not a physical deity, and second dont make yourself so high and mighty to say that your beiefs are the pinnacle of good and purity, thats self centered and ignorant.

He makes a good point on religion, but i hope king can be well enough to perform soon in america...kinda bummed that he couldnt here in california for his injury but best wishes to him and the crew.

Lars have always talked like that, but yes he is saying many Uhms in his sentences. My dad was on a long bus trip and met Lars before he wen't to america, that's why I know it.
I'm Christian and love King Diamond. Don't care for his older satanic lyrics, but he's kind of moved away from that recently. He always seemed like a cool dude too.
King has maintained his notoriety and moral integrity from the get go man !!!!
