Testing out my new Salsa Cutthroat 2021 Apex 1 on a gravel route through the Allegheny National Forest from Kane, Pennsylvania to Marienville, PA. This is a section of the Route 66 Rail Trail that is still abandoned and is not completed yet.

Thanks so much for posting this. Just got my Cutthroat this week but storing till spring (I have plenty of other bikes I can ride on the MN winter roads 😂). This video completely validates my purchase! Ride safe and thanks for sharing.
That's awesome that the water tower for the steam engines was still there.
Well done Kevin. I appreciated the quick look at good ol’ paper maps when you were describing the planned route ans the history tidbits you sprinkled in throughout.
Thank you for the kind words Todd!!
I would have been like nope on that first leg. As someone who hates ticks, I avoid riding through full on brush. The Marienville trail looked like fun. Great vid as usual.
Nice man thanks for taking us along.
I appreciate the support thank you
Great vid, man! Explorin' is just fun!!!
Cheers from Philly, great ride. We have some great gravel this side of the state! Great footage.
Cheers from Pitt. I would like to get out that way this spring!
@@KevinKeys if you decide too let me know ill give you a few tips for some monster gravel rides:-)
Absolutely thank you sir!
What great gravel do we have? Getting tired of the D&L trail. -from Easton Pa.
@@Afredericknyc Hey Adam, we have lots pal. I usually ride road to get there and put sections together. The PP trail runs from philly all the way up to Southampton Pa. plenty of off road gravel and mtb trails through there to keep you busy fo a while especially by Masons Mill. Also Wiss, goes on forever and connects to the green ribbon trail. In Montgomery County there are like 12 gravel sections not far from my home I ride through all the time. If you want to drive there are even more options. Doing the Pine Barrens gravel race in NJ in a few weeks. If you wanted to you could prob ride D&L to PP start on state road and get a monster ride in.
This is a cool route and nice demo of what the Cutty can do. Great video!
Thank you Trevor for the kind words!
Make it TWO, two pulled pork sandwiches! I would have done the same. LMAO. GREAT video bruh, and now i see you own a Salsa gravel bike and a Canyon.
Yeah thank goodness I ordered two they were like two little pinches of pork. I'm only at 2 bikes right now so I'm on the prowl for #3!!
Great Video bro🤙 Cheers 🍻 from Philadelphia!
Thank you Mike! Cheers!!
Very brave man to do that. Amazing!.
If you don't mind me asking what was that map app you had pulled up on your phone?
Gaia GPS with NatGeo Trails Illustrated maps layer.
What National Geographic map did you have right away to start the video? Adventure? Touring? Recreation?
That was the NatGeo Pennsylvania Recreation Atlas
Awesome video. Thanks for putting the work in!
How tall are you and what size is your bike?
Thank you. I am 5'11 and I got the 56cm.
That's the widest dropbar I've ever seen hehe
Are you using a GoPro Max?
No just a GoPro with gimbal
