I lol'd when I heard, "The challenge comes when you try and put it in your pocket" 1:34 and, "This is a beefy wallet" 1:48 It's all relative, I suppose, as I'm coming from the world of bifolds! Don't get me wrong, I love these, but to me this is TEENY. Of course, compared to some others wallets of this nature, Rando is correct!
I got the mini franklin only problem with that is after 5 cards it gets really hard to pull cards out so you have to take all of them out just to get to the card you want had to do it several times in the store which was a hassle since people are waiting in the que and am checking through all my cards 😂
for me I'm able to comfortably put this in my side pocket and I carry a bunch of cards so it's kind of the perfect wallet for me. I like using it as my spring/summer wallet
I have a little collection of leather and metal wallets as well. Most of them are minimalist style. I always carry them in my side pocket, including the Big Finn. No issues with it. Fits perfectly and comfortably in my side pocket.
The Big Finnigan is the "Lost Dutchman's" representation in my collection of wallets. The young man (Nate Walker) who founded the company is very much the leather artisan, offering several creative and surprisingly functional designs made in America.. The Big Finn appealed to me because it's size reduces the amount of folding necessary to fit paper money into the wallet. I find it frustrating to have to fold bills more than once to fit them into a wallet. I do so enjoy carrying the Big Finn, loaded out to meet all of my needs for a wallet, in my front pocket. Many thanks to "The Lost Dutchman!"
In this review you mentioned that you kinda didn’t like the quick access pocket? You can ask in a message during checkout to change the strap leather/color, add any engravings, or on the big Finn to not have the quick access slot. I also am not a fan of the quick access. I’ve opted to not have that. Check it out if you get the chance.

Mini Franklin is my personal favorite. Small like the thin Finn but has a quick access pocket

I love the patina on all your wallets 😍

Good to know! I probably should have done that as I never use the quick slot
I should have done that. Not a fan of quick access slots as well although it's not that big of a deal.
I got the Franklin in russet and love.
Look at the open sea leather wallets, I love mine!
Yes they are nice as well. I have 2 of them as well.
Try Harland Handmade wallets, it's very slim and seek and I think you will love it.
Yes.. I have seen ads for them across my feed. It will be the next brand I may explore.
“Better to have and not need than to need and not have.”
Can you do a 1 year review of this wallet? Are you still using it? Or maybe a response with a picture with the patina will be great. Thanks
Yes I'll make something this week and how how they all aged.
Have you tried the speakeasy d’avella or the dalton? What are your thoughts on those? Curious to hear your thoughts about the mini Franklin too
No haven't tried those. I got hooked on lost dutchman's and tried most of that brand mainly.
Try Last Stone Leather wallets you won't regret it!
Sick wallet!
Best quality?
What color is that big finn sir?
