I had a timing chain break while starting the car and am hoping it didn't damage the valves. I've opened the timing chain cover and neither side is lined up the way it should be. Should I manually turn them to the right position or is this a lost cause?
I just did this and completed the job to my H6. But after I was done I realized I had only lined up the marks and wasn't sure if I was on top dead center 1. Will it be okay if just the marks were lined up? Or am I going to have to pull it all apart ?
Can anyone fine me the timing chain cover gasket for this model the h6 3.0 liter? I'm having a hard time finding a new seal for when I take mine apart. I have to replace a tensioner
great video man had some question as myn didn't have the arrow that yours did but with the good shots u had i was able to align it by the slot on the sprockets. thank you
Don't you oil the chain
Great video very helpful! Wish the music wasn’t so loud so I could hear you more clearly
Dealing with a 2006 Tribeca motor at 121,000 miles. Are these timing chains in this specific motor prone to issues? Getting P0016 and P0018 codes.
Good video but my intake and exhaust sprockets won't stay in place like yours do they want to rotate 45 degrees??

Didn’t you pound that crank seal in way to far? Shouldn’t it just be flush with the housing?
